Being afamspec- specifically caedfamilial- is easier when my roommates act like they don't love me cause it feels justified. When they act like they do love me I feel guilty. I don't know if they actually love me or not, but either way I think they think they do.

The other day my roommate was talking about how parents and their children inherently love each other and it's biological and no matter how bad the parents are the children can't stop loving them and how people who've gone no-contact with their parents can't come to that decision lightly. And I was thinking. But what bout me?? I don't love you. I would happily go no-contact without a second thought.

I mean they traumatized me enough I developed a disassociative disorder (OSDD-1) and that I'm questioning being caedfamilial (afamilial cause of trauma) but maybe I'm just more prone to being traumatized cause they had objectively worse childhoods. Mine wasn't good, but it was a million times better.

aaaaaaaaaaaa thank you?? I don't feel as guilty bout it anymore except when my roommates are like "I know we probably messed you up :( but it's okay cause we're better parents to you than our parents were to us and we love you and you love us right??" And I can't tell em I'm afam cause they'd be so pissed cause they think that raising me in a way that's. Idk compliant with the law?? Means that I owe em love or something. Sorry for sorta venting.
