harsh truths

- depression is something you can't control; being a miserable person who only sees the negative in things is within your control.

- your feelings do not control you. you just use them to justify emotionally reactive behaviors.

- if you are desperate to be loved then you will attract partners who sense that quality in you and they will manipulate you with this knowledge.

- the way you were raised only matters about 0.2% when it comes to the decisions you make as an adult. use that information for reference and reflection, not as an excuse or a crutch.

- while the world SHOULD be softer to those who are damaged, it often won't be. and you will waste a lot of precious time and energy by demanding the world be softer with you. be softer with the world; that's what you can control.

There’s two types of Autumn:

the bright, colorful, happy autumn with pumpkins, apples, candles, and great food

the dreary, dark, creepy autumn with overcast and rainy skies, scary forests, cool temperatures, and halloween
