🇬🇧 Hello, guys. How are you doing? So, I'm going to share with my process to get ready for the new semester.

First of all, I compose my spreadsheet. There I set up all the information will save my life until the end of the semester, for example, deadlines. You can find an example of the spreadsheet I made for 2020.2 right down. 

To sum up this, all I do is: 

title the file with the name of the class, e.g. statistics; then the semester (2021.1);

After that, I fill up the row with some basics information that I will need later (the topic of the class, date, todo list, task status, notes and link to my google drive).

A tool that extraordinarily helps me visualize the amount of work I have to do is conditional formatting. Therefore I always use it in my spreadsheets. I also use this tool to identify the topic of the lesson’s day. 

Secondly, I check out the appointments calendar, which is available on my University site. It's a time-saving since all my college-related appointments will be already planned on my Google Agenda. So I'll never be caught off guard when my exams arrive. Besides, I don't know about you, but I always forget where I have to go, I mean which classrom, when I am at University. Once all information is together on my Agenda, all I have to do is check it out when I arrive at University. 

PS: I guess knowing all my appointments wouldn't safe. Hope you all understand. #qotp holidays are usual in Brazil. I think the most known one is Carnival, right? But, there are many others. How often is there a holiday where you live? 

The last task I will share with you today is to organize my files. It's quite simple since all you have to do is choose where you will storage all them. I always you Google Drive because my University offers all students a premium account. I was thinking about migrating to Notion, but I don't know. I think Notion isn't the best choice for me. I will let you know what I decide to use for the next semester.

🇧🇷 Olá, pessoal. Como vocês estão? Então, vou compartilhar meu processo para me preparar para o novo semestre. 

Em primeiro lugar, eu faço a minha planilha. Nela eu coloco todas as informações que vão salvar minha vida até o final do semestre, por exemplo, prazos de atividade e provas. 

Para resumir, tudo que eu faço é:

coloco um título o arquivo com o nome da aula, por exemplo, Estatística; 

depois o semestre (2021.1);

Depois disso, preencho a linha com algumas informações básicas que irei precisar mais tarde (o tópico da aula, data, lista de tarefas, status da tarefa, notas e link para meu Google Drive).

Uma ferramenta que me ajuda muito a visualizar a quantidade de trabalho que tenho que fazer é a formatação condicional. Por isso sempre o uso nas minhas planilhas. Eu também uso essa ferramenta para identificar o assunto da aula do dia.

Em segundo lugar, verifico o calendário de compromissos, que está disponível no site da minha universidade. É uma economia de tempo, uma vez que todos os meus compromissos relacionados à faculdade já estarão planejados na minha Agenda do Google. Portanto, nunca serei pega de surpresa quando minhas provas chegarem. Além do mais, não sei você, mas sempre esqueço para onde devo ir quando estou na universidade, quero dizer, qual sala devo ir. Uma vez que todas as informações estão reunidas na minha Agenda, tudo o que tenho que fazer é conferir quando eu chegar na Universidade.

 A última tarefa que compartilharei com vocês hoje é organizar meus arquivos. É muito simples, pois tudo o que você precisa fazer é escolher onde armazenará todos eles. Eu sempre uso o Google Drive porque minha universidade oferece a todos os alunos uma conta premium. Eu estava pensando em migrar para o Notion, mas não sei. Acho que ele não é a melhor escolha para mim. Eu vou falar para vocês o que decidirei usar no próximo semestre.

🇬🇧 Hello guys. How are you doing? Some pics I took of my newest books that arrived a couple of days ago. These are the first enormous ones that I bought - they are not as extensive as they look. Each one of them contains three complete novels written by Jane Austen.

Today I had some annoying and bureaucratic things to do about my college, such as sign up to my classes. I should have it done before, but I got some issues (I don’t know how the students have to deal with this in foreign colleges, but Brazilians students quite often have to deal with it). I don’t complain about my University because they assisted us quite well. However, I have to say I’m disappointed about the unexpected and unorganized (as it seems to be) changes that happend. Anyway, I’ll let you know about it in the next weeks.

🇧🇷 Olá, pessoal. Como vocês estão? Algumas fotos que tirei dos meus mais novos livros que chegaram há alguns dias. Estes são os primeiros calhamaços que comprei - na verdade, não são tão extensos quanto parecem. Cada um deles contém três romances completos escritos por Jane Austen. 

Hoje eu tinha algumas coisas chatas e burocráticas para fazer em relação à minha faculdade, como inscrever-me nas minhas matérias. Eu deveria ter feito isso antes, mas estou com alguns problemas (não sei como os alunos têm que lidar com isso em faculdades estrangeiras, mas os alunos brasileiros muitas vezes têm que lidar com esses problemas). Eu não reclamo da minha universidade porque eles nos ajudaram muito. No entanto, devo dizer que estou desapontada com as mudanças inesperadas e desorganizadas (parece, pelo menos, que está desorganizado) que aconteceram. De qualquer forma, informarei você sobre isso nas próximas semanas.

Hello students!

There's a long time that I don't post here, so I decided to post my study's routine here. Last year was rough but I'm hopeful about this new year.

Today was the first class of the year, and I had a semi productive day.

What I did:

• Woke up 06:30;

• Watched the class;

• Organized my notion dashboard;

• Readed 20 pages of a book;

• Readed a chapter of an imunology's book ( it's not an advanced book, it's more basic )

🇧🇷 Olá, pessoal. hoje vou compartilhar os livros que estou lendo atualmente: um livro de poesia, uma ficção científica e um de não ficção. (no final vai estar a tradução, ok? ;))

🇬🇧 Hello, guys. today i’m going to share with you the books that i’m current reading.

🇬🇧 I've just read 1984, which some people believe is the best dystopia of the 20th century. Then, I started reading Neuromancer, the first book of Sprawl Trilogy. I'm really enjoying the reading.

The sky above the port was the colour of television, tuned to a dead channel.

Milk and Honey, written by Rupi Kaur - aka the most awesome, perfect, stunning woman - is also my current read. I usually describe my relationship with this book comparing to the experience of eating really slowly a chocolate bar. so, be careful about how much you'll appreciate day by day. now check it out one of my favorite poems by Rupi:

I quite often associate a poem to a song. When I read this one, I instantly remembered Love Drought by Beyoncé.

🇧🇷 recentemente eu terminei 1984, que, para algumas pessoas, é a melhor distopia do século XX. Em seguida, comecei Neuromancer, o primeiro livro da Trilogia Sprawl e estou curtindo muito.

Outros jeitos de usar a boca, da Rupi Kaur - também conhecida como DEUSA. Eu gosto de definir a minha relação com esse livro como quem está comendo uma barra de chocolate e teme que ela acabe. então, você vai aos poucos, aproveitando cada parte com muita calma. Estou lendo esses poemas tem cerca de um e não a menor intenção de acelerar o ritmo de leitura. É muito agradável. segue um dos meus poemas favoritos do livro.

O céu sobre o porto tinha cor de televisão num canal fora do ar.

Fun fact: às vezes, eu gosto de combinar um poema com uma música. Esse, especificamente, eu combino com Love Drought, da Beyoncé.

Por fim, Imperialismo Ecológico é o livro que estou lendo para a faculdade. Está sendo interessante, apesar de maçante.

enquanto eu ainda fico longe, confere uma das coisas que eu fiz desde a última vez que apareci aqui. i’m realizing that i really sabotaged myself last spring/summer by not letting myself grieve. i felt like since i had a roof over my head and was healthy i had no reason to complain. i mean does it really matter that i had to miss my college graduation when people are literally dying? but it totally matters. and even though losing a loved one is unimaginably worse than losing a ceremony, it was totally fair to be upset. it was normal and healthy. 

but instead i didn’t let myself be upset then, and now i can feel all that grief bubbling up in a much bigger way. so: we’re all dealing with huge traumas right now. and even if you’re “one of the lucky ones” it’s okay to be sad, or mad, or whatever it is you’re feeling. let yourself cry and kick and scream without feeling guilty for it. because yes, you’re so lucky for a lot of reasons. but you’re also living through something incredibly hard. and it’s not silly at all to be upset about losing something, no matter how trivial you feel it is in comparison.
