“What! No, no, no! You said you knew this shortcut!” he quickly argued. “We were supposed to get there faster and you said you knew the area!” Toudou wasn’t going to back down and admit he had been the one to cause such a problem for both of them.
“Look, look. You grew up around here right?! You must know a way to get out of here!?!” he explained loudly. Truthfully he had no idea where they were.
Lost|| Maki & Toudou

Maki looks at Toudou as if he’s nuts. “You’re blaming me for this? Toudou you’re the one who said to take this dumb shortcut. Now look where we are? We’re lost and it’s all your fault. And I have work in the afternoon. How am I going to explain this to my boss?”

“If I lose my job because of you I’ll never forgive you” he states with a murderous glare. “Now get us out of here.”

Lowering his voice and rolling his eyes, Toudou folded his arms. “I wasn’t being that loud,” he growled, folding his arms. He watched as Maki began to move about behind the counter.
“Ah of course you have your bike here,” he smirked. “Why would you not!? In fact, I would be very disappointed if you didn’t bring your bike to work!” he chuckled. “Of course I biked here,” he nodded, watching the other put together his sandwich. “And it’s too bad you’re going to lose your title today...I bet you wish I had never come to this valley,” he sighed dramatically, flipping his hand through his hair.
Toudou was thrilled to know they were going to race again. All this time he had been so concerned about being out here in this valley by himself, but turned out he wasn’t going to be as alone as he had originally thought.
Surprise Reunion|| Maki & Toudou
Maki rolls his eyes. “You are being loud, Toudou. And that’s more reason not to be loud because you’re the only one here and I’m the only one who can hear you” he states.
Maki smirks seconds later. “I don’t think, Toudou. I know I am. No one has yet to beat me” he states rather proudly. It was a simple fact that the bicyclers in the valley were clearly no match for him. Maki’s intense and unique riding style made it hard for others to beat and pass him during a climb during a race. “And I’m not going to let you claim the title, Toudou. I’ll accept the challenge. Anyways once I get this sandwich done for you we can race. Luckily for you I have my bike out in the back. I usually bike to work” he states. “How about you? Did you ride here or do we have to make a pit stop?” he asks him.
Clearly Maki was excited to race Toudou again. He always missed the competition and the thrill of racing someone who can actually beat him if he doesn’t try his best. He was rather happy to see him here.

“Oh?” he questioned at the new challenge. The one to the top of the next mountain won. He could do that. This time he wasn’t going to let Maki take the win. This time, he was going to come out on top. “Great plan. I’m ready to beat you!” he chuckled.
“Maki!” he growled. “Unfair! You know this area way better than me! You’ll have an advantage!” Shouldn’t they pick a mountain together so they could start at the same time!? Putting on his helmet, he began to ride after the other. “Don’t you want to at least play fair, Maki-chan!”
Maki felt Toudou lean against him and chuckles as he shoves him playfully with his shoulder. “Yeah let’s do that. Obviously whoever gets to the top of the next mountain we climb wins” he states.

Maki then grabs his helmet and puts it on. “Whoever finds another mountain gets the advantage so we better start riding” he says before getting on his bike. “See you at the top when you lose, Toudou” he teases before getting on his bike and having a head start down the hill.

Raising an eyebrow, Toudou was surprised that Maki was so focused on challenging him. Of course, Toudou felt the same. Maki was the only one who had really ever given him a challenge and even if he did find someone else he didn’t think he would have the same affect as Maki had on him. They had a very special rivalry. “Well then, glad to know I’m so damn important to you, Maki-chan!” he said, giving him a joyous smile.
“Well I think we are going to be rivals again! Since we’re both here now and at separate schools,” he grinned. “This time I’m going to win and you’re going fall so far behind you won’t even see me!” The taunt was simply that. Toudou truly hoped Maki would give it his all, so they could fight to the end. “I actually would be pretty upset Maki-chan,” he smirked. “You’re my best rival!”
“Its hilarious how you think that I can’t beat you when I have multiple times in fact. And no I wouldn’t be absolutely devastated if I didn’t have someone to challenge me. I would be devastated if I didn’t get to challenge you” he states, not fully realizing how this could be taken. He didn’t mean it in the romantic sense however. He was just being honest. It would be tragic to lose the chance to race with his rival and friend.

“So you better be more careful or we may never be rivals again” he states. “And if anything you would be devastated if you never got the chance to ride against me” he says with a teasing smirk.

With a gasp, Toudou fell backwards and felt Maki’s lips press against his forehead. The green-haired male quickly sat back and brushed off his pants, but Toudou was well aware what happened. “Well, well, well, Maki-chan~” he chuckled, posing proudly. “It seems you finally kissed me! How lucky for you I was willing to lend you my forehead!”

Maki really should have known something like this was going to happen. He can be a klutz at times. However, he didn’t expect for him to fall in such a compromising position on top of Toudou of all people. His lips even landed on his forehead giving him a rather embarrassing accidental kiss. Quickly Maki gets up and just tries to hide his face from the other male as he dusts his pants.

Wow. What a ball of negativity this guy was. Blinking Toudou, stared at him as he spoke about how nasty humanity was. “Uh...you sure are kind of a downer buddy,” Toudou said.
“But no worries! Now that I’m in your life, things are sure to be looking up!” he grinned. “You’ll definitely realize how honored you will have been to have met me!” he laughed, smiling widely. Toudou would help this guy see there was good things in life. Good things like...well...him!

Toudou was excited to see who his second date could be. And actually, as he approached the table and saw the cute brunette, he could feel his heart pounding in his chest with excitement.
That was...until he realized just WHO this brunette was.
Thrusting a finger out toward her, his eyes widened, practically popping out of his head. “E-EH!? What are YOU doing here!?!” Of all the people he could’ve gotten paired up...it had to be this chick who hated his guts for seemingly no reason!
You’ve Got To Be Kidding Me!|| Kasumi & Toudou
@beautifulmountaingod
Kasumi eyes widen in disbelief the second her next date landed at her table. She seriously couldn’t believe this was happening. She wanted to scream but because there were other people around she knew she couldn’t. That would cause a scene and she would embarrass herself.
Instead Kasumi send him a look of utter disdain. “You’ve got to be kidding me. Why the hell are you here?”

This really had never happened to him before...normally Toudou was such a ladykiller. How could this girl be so repulsed by him that she wouldn’t want to do anything?! Not even get a slice of pizza to make up for...whatever it was he had done. “Well...jeeze okay, point taken, loud and clear,” he muttered, looking to the side. This was upsetting. Was he losing his touch?
Kasumi was getting rather irritated. She didn’t understand why this boy was so insistent in eating pizza with her. Couldn’t he tell that she was tired and didn’t want to be here? She huffs. “Look. As nice as your offer is I really rather go home after my work and rest. So please stop asking me to eat with you. The answer will always be ‘no’” she states bluntly.

Toudou was absolutely thrilled to have joined the speed dating event, partially because he liked the idea of getting to possibly flirt with a great deal of cute girls, if only for a short period of time. Plus he would feel oh so terrible not allowing the good people of Kotone the chance to get to know him in such a way. Whoever ended up on the speed dates with him would certainly be lucky.
As he made his way to the first table, he was shocked to see a male who looked to be only a bit older than himself. Blinking, he took a seat. He was a little disappointed it wasn’t a cute girl, but the boy smiling in front of him was also cute, so he couldn’t really complain.
“Toudou Jinpachi,” he said, giving the boy a charming smile. “It’s a pleasure. I know what you’re thinking...it’s really lucky you got someone so ridiculously good looking for your first date.”
Speed Dating ||Event Thread Hikari&Toudou
@beautifulmountaingod event starter
Having never been on a date before, Hikari had decided to change that when he saw the poster advertising a speed dating event. It wasn’t as if Hikari was hoping for a relationship out if the event, but rather he figured it was a good chance to meet and possibly make new friends along the way. But in the case he actually did gain a relationship out if it, he supposed he wouldn’t mind that at all.
Feeling both excitement and a little nervousness as he watched several girls and boys come his way only to pass by his table, he wondered what his first partner would be like. A few minutes passed by before he finally saw a waiter leading a young man towards his table. Giving a small yet confident smile at the male.
“I’m Hikari Sakishima, nice to meet you!”

“Okay...” he blinked, taking the card back. “Uh...You just seemed really on edge. And you know,” he grinned leaning forward. “I am really good at helping beautiful women take the edge off. It might do you some good to relax and enjoy some pizza. Obviously it would be my treat to make up for...uh...whatever I did that pissed you off,” he sighed.
Kasumi took the card from the male and slides it to charge him for what he owes for his meal. She then returns it along with the receipt. Her eyes widen a bit in shock before she scoffs and rolls them. “No thanks. When I get off work I’m going back to my dorm and sleeping. I don’t need cheering up, mister. I need to sleep. Anyways your pizza will be ready soon.”

Well, he supposed it was refreshing that Arakita hadn’t changed at all. Sort of. Toudou could do without his yelling...but then again, it would be ridiculously quiet without him around and he was a little disappointed Arakita wouldn’t be on his team anymore, but like hell would he ever let the angry boy know that. Plus he knew Arakita probably missed him too but was too busy being angry and annoyed to actually admit to that. Arakita never was sentimental anyway.
“Well I didn’t realize you were making a living solely on your own. Are you living alone here?” he asked. “How do you have time to work and race?” he asked quickly. It did seem a bit strange that Arakita would be able to balance all these things, Toudou almost felt bad for the guy.
Rolling his eyes, Toudou shook his head. “I wouldn’t sue you,” he sighed, folding his arms. “That would be far too much effort. But if you ruined my bike, I might ask you to get me a new one, because really you would be at fault for jumping in front of me,” he smirked. “I have a comfortable amount of money and see no need to go after yours. Besides we’re friends, despite how you act and what you say. I wouldn’t try and take money from you,” he muttered, rubbing a small piece of his hair.
“Ah...Arakita! Don’t be so cruel!” he gasped. “You wouldn’t possibly hurt me and my face that I spend so much time on in the morning. I have to look perfect, of course,” he smirked. “It’s really too bad you didn’t know I was going there,” he sighed. “Then maybe we could’ve gone together and stayed on the same team,” he lamented over dramatically. “And no, of course you’re not replacing Maki-chan! You’re not a climber,” he shook his head. “Maki-chan will forever be my one and only climbing rival. But still, being on the opposite team is so depressing,” he sighed. Rolling his eyes and waving his hand back and forth, Toudou laughed loudly. “Maki-chan doesn’t find me annoying! He respects me! Psh.”
Oh Hell No { Arakita & Toudou }
What was this, a game of twenty questions? From how many questions he asks and how much he nags, Toudou could be his mother for crying out loud. As if he was going to tell him he dropped out; so he’s just going to lie. He’ll probably - no, scratch that, he will get an earful later if Toudou ever finds out he doesn’t even go to school anymore. As if he would ever find out he didn’t. Not unless Toudou paid someone to spy on him - he may be a nag and annoying but that’s something Araita half-doubts he would do.
“Obviously. How else would I be working? I can’t just work weekends; I can’t earn a living from just two to three days, moron.” Arakita rolls his eyes; jeez, he may say his brain cells are in tact, but really, he seemed stupider the more he talks to the guy.
“It takes to fuckin’ tango, Toudou. If you don’t watch, you’ll get hit, and knowing you, you’d sue my ass because you just need all the money in the goddamn world.” He really shouldn’t be cussing in front of his workplace like this, or his manager might eye him suspiciously. Then again, he’s off the clock and he can talk as he damn well pleases. It’s not as if he’s swearing and acting rudely on the job.
“Oi,” Who the hell does he think he’s talking to?! Calling him stupid and annoying - Toudou’s looking for a death wish. “You’re looking for your perfect ass to be kicked if you’re saying shit like that. I could get into Roshion if I wanted to, I just didn’t want to deal with the richy ass snobs like you!” How was he going to pull of a lie with road racing though? Maybe he can change the topic– “Oooh, so now I’m your rival? I’m replacing your ever-so-sweet Maki-chan? Wait until he hears that.” He’s teasing, with a grin, but then that fades a second later. “That’s disgusting. I wouldn’t want to be your rival; I can tell how annoyed Maki-chan just from dealing with you as a rival. I give him props from not ripping out his hair yet.”

“High school is hell, so we might as well sell our souls to the devil.”
“THINGS REAL CHEERLEADERS ACTUALLY SAY BUT YOU’LL NEVER HEAR IN THE MOVIES” STARTERS
@greenhairbeautybicyclist
“Hah? Is that really how you feel, Maki-chan?” Toudou asked, looking at him rather puzzled. He’d never heard Maki talk in such a negative way. And Toudou wasn’t quite sure he agreed. He liked high school! He liked all the attention he got from girls for being such an amazing racer and he liked racing Maki! After all, you were only young once and Toudou enjoyed being young. If Maki was suggesting they sell their souls to stay young, well, he was all for that.
Or maybe he was suggesting selling their souls to devil…to live a life of carefree fun. If that meant he got to race him more, Toudou was all for that too.
Really he was taking this far too seriously, since selling his soul to the devil was absolutely impossible in the first place.
“Hm…well I like being able to race you and who knows if we’ll go to universities that allow us to race against each other. So…high school isn’t all that bad.”

@kasumidorina
What the hell was this girl’s problem!?! Both times Toudou had run into her, she’d gotten so freaking angry…and it completely confused the teen. Blinking and opening his mouth to speak, Toudou couldn’t even find the words to respond. What the hell was he supposed to say to a girl who hated him for no reason!?
Plus…it was rare that he ever encountered a problem like this in the first place…normally girls loved him!
“What…What did I ever do to you?!” he yelled back.

He didn’t really expect any other response from Arakita, so Toudou wasn’t surprised that the loud mouthed, angry teen began to snap and glare at him just like normal. Of all the people he had ever expected to see here in Kotone, Arakita wasn’t one of them. Though as annoying as Arakita was, Toudou kinda didn’t mind. He really enjoyed the normalcy of their relationship, but hell if he was ever going to let Arakita know that.
“You’re working?!” he asked. “Part-time?” He was kind of confused. Arakita was supposed to be in the same year as him..which meant he definitely wasn’t done with school and Toudou didn’t think Arakita was smart enough to finish school early. “After school?”
“E-Eh!? I wasn’t being reckless at all! I’m never reckless!” he scoffed, folding his arms. “My brain cells are all very much in tact, Arakita!” he snapped, folding his arms as he turned away from the other. “I would say it was your fault for jumping in the middle of the road! You didn’t even look to see if anyone was coming!” he accused loudly.
Taking a deep breath, he smirked. “So do you plan on riding here too? I assume we’ll be on rival teams since there is no way you’re smart enough to attend Roshion Academy,” he teased. “Still it’s too bad, as annoying as you are, It would’ve been nice to be on the same team as an old teammate,” he sighed.
Oh Hell No { Arakita & Toudou }
When the brat turns their bicycle around, Arakita was about to teach him a piece of his mind. But when his eyes fell on the person that nearly got hit by his moped, his thoughts changed quickly. Eyes widening, his jaw dropped upon seeing Toudou. He’s not happy to see him here, especially in front of his place of work where he can’t cuss this guy out. Biting his tongue, he rested his foot on the pavement, trying to keep him and his moped steady. Arms folded over his chest, his eyes narrow into his usual glare.
“It’s not any of your business why I’m here,” he tells him straight up, because it really isn’t any of Toudou’s business. “I’ve been working, duh? You gotta make a living somehow, idiot.”
Really, he thought Toudou would be smarter than that. He may be only working part time, but he’s been working every night, for a few hours. His paychecks aren’t as large as he wanted, but the restaurant won’t hire him full time unless he had a high school diploma. As if he would tell Toudou he dropped out, too; he’d never hear the end of it.
“Why the heck are you so reckless on your road racer anyway? Looking to get ran over or sued for hittin’ someone? That stupid-ass headband of yours must be making you lose brain cells.” Arakita always thought the climber was an idiot, though, so maybe he shouldn’t be surprised that he was so reckless.

Toudou didn’t mind the girl’s gaze at all. In fact, he welcomed it. He would’ve posed for her all day if she asked. Really Toudou should’ve been a model. Or some kind of celebrity. How he wasn’t yet was actually shocking to him. At least this girl seemed to understand his talent. Plus she was so adorable. That was a bonus! If only all girls could be like her.
Leaning forward towards her, he let out a dramatic sigh. “You certainly are. I mean it’s not everyday I ride this path, so it must be fate that we happened upon each other today,” he smiled. “Plus,” he began. “Not all cyclists have as well-toned muscles as I do,” he said. “I personally tend to spend extra time making sure my body looks this good.”
The way she had glanced down when he called her cute was so incredibly sweet, he could barely stand it. He wondered if perhaps she wasn’t used to receiving such compliments? It found that hard to believe. Maybe it was simply that she wasn’t used to receiving compliments from someone such as himself.
Taking a seat next to her, he smiled. “Is it okay if I sit here for a bit?” he asked. “I’m Toudou Jinpachi, what’s your name? I could possibly sit next to a beautiful lady and not know her name!” he gasped quietly.
"Don’t worry,” he said with a sparkly smile. “Nothing you’ve done has come across as weird!” he chuckled. “Enjoying the male physique is nothing to be ashamed of,” he smirked. “Plus it hasn’t seemed like you’ve lost control,” he continued. “You’re perfectly normal. It’s hard for people to resist a body like this.”
“I can show you my torso if you’re interested. As a cyclist, I have a very strong core,” he smirked, but decided to let it drop when she began to speak of taking pictures. “I’m sure you’re doing a very good job,” he nodded. “This is a beautiful area. You know though, if you want a beautiful picture of a beautiful man, I’m always willing to pose.”
Cycling Beauty { Kou & Jinpachi }
She was starting to feel extremely relieved that she hadn’t scared this guy off yet. In fact, in seems as if he seemed to enjoy the attention she was given off. She takes in a breath, resting back against the bench as she relaxes more. She feels a lot more at ease to know she hasn’t made this guy think she was creepy. At least not yet, and with that thought in mind, she feels a bit nervous, thinking she might at some point.
She pays attention to what he says, for the most part, and even though staring might be considered rude, she can’t help but to stare, watching as he takes off his helmet. His hair looked so nice, even with it being hot out. Sure Kou preferred staring at muscles, but she takes notice of other parts of peoples appearances. And with this guy, she’s taking in a lot of beauty.
She brings a hand to the back of her neck, rubbing at it nervously, “Eh-he, am I? I guess you can call it lucky - you don’t see such a beautiful physique like yours every day.”
She can her feel cheeks burn from his compliment though, glancing away for a moment then stares down at her lap. She hasn’t really had heard anyway call herself cute, unless it was her brother or her mother. It’s not as if she doesn’t believe it, but hearing it from someone else just makes her flustered. “Uhm, thank you..” She’s thinking about it, to let him show her more, but they don’t even know each others names yet and she has the sick feeling in her gut thinking he’ll think of her as weird.
“No no! That’s okay! I’d hate to come off as weird.. My, I guess you can call it an obsession, really makes me lose control?” She’s not really sure of it herself, because she doesn’t admit it since she never really realizes how bad she could get. But she’d rather warn this guy first, before he ends up being sure of allowing her to see more.
“It shows! That you take such great care of your body so well, not just your legs! I bet torso is even better–” Oops. Let’s see if she can change the topic. “Ah, I just work at a boutique. My manager likes getting ideas for accessories and such though so that’s why I’m out here - to get pictures and make sketches for her to give her inspiration! So far I think I’m doing a nice job.”
