Stack dared Mary to join the worst aca pella group he could find as he believed it was the worst type of music.

Mary recalls talking to a vampire who used to be in a college acca pella group called the Barden Bellas. Stating she's a "Legacy" to get an automatic in, Mary rebrands herself as the confident, unaware, talented Emily Junk.

After going on many different journeys, winning championships, bonding with the Bellas and even releasing a song with her favourite Bella, Emily has finally proven to Stack that pop and acca pella are legitimate forms of music.

During a mafia themed poker night, Emily decides she wants these girls to be in her life forever. After a few drinks and off the high of releasing another song together, Beca gets a little too comfortable around Emily during the party. She leans in for a kiss and Emily lets her. Then Emily is kissing her neck and Beca screams. Emily is as gentle as she can be but being bitten can only be so painless.

Emily has seen the way Chloe looks at Beca. It's only a matter of minutes before she is bitten and turned into a vampire too.

Soon, the entire Barden Bellas are undead and now Emily can finally introduce herself.

"Bellas, as you probably know by now, my name is Mary."
