I really don’t understand the idea by some fans that “Steve is dumb”. Like, he’s had so many scenes in the MCU where he’s proven just how smart he is. In First Avenger, he was the only one to figure out how to get the flag down from the pole in a really brilliant way. He was the only guy who brought books to boot camp while the other dudes were acting obnoxious. He’s a tactical genius who knows how to plan a mission, was able to figure out QUICKLY what was about to happen in elevator in WS etc..

I don’t speak for anyone else, but when I call Steve dumb, it’s purely out of affection (sort of like how you would say “my dumb son”). He’s done some dumb things (trying to hear Tony’s heart through his breastplate, keeping that giant secret about who killed his parents from him, etc) and there’s been some really great talk about a himbo Steve AU, but I do not actually believe he is dumb at all.

Steve is very much a tactical genius. The examples you listed are def some of the best things Steve has done to prove that he can think outside of the box and works great under pressure. He might not be smart in the way Tony and Bruce are smart with their combined hundred PHDs, but Steve is def very smart.

A STEVE/TONY “LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS” AU

Little scrawny Steve working in skid row’s floral shop with Tony, who he has eyes for but doesn’t think he’s good enough for, and Tony totes crushing on Steve but doesn’t feel like he deserves a nice guy like Steve after all the awful turns his life makes to get him where his current life is.

Tony’s sadistic dentist boyfriend can be Tiberius Stone (or Justin Hammer? I dunno), whom everyone KNOWS is awful for Tony, but Tony’s excuse is that Ty/Justin “makes good money” (which he was cut off from when he was kicked out on the streets by his dad) and that “I’ve done awful things, so I deserve a guy like Ty/Justin.”

And Steve is like having none of it, especially after Tony II has grown bigger and requires more “feedings”, he’s gotta find someone he thinks is awful enough to deserve being fed to a giant, talking plant 🤷🏼‍♀️

I may tweak the ending somehow with them defeating the plant when Tony finds out, cuz I mean, our guy is much smarter than to fall for the ruse of a talking plant and get ate xD And while the OG ending to the film/musical is a big middle finger to happy endings and I appreciate the balls it had at the time, I want our boys to be happy because I am soft™️

Hope you don't mind me being perverted for a moment. But when it comes to Steve and Tony's sex life, I just love the idea of smolbean 5'9 Tony being the one who prefers to top 6'0 Steve. NOT because he's trying to prove anything, but because that's actually how he has done it his entire life of having sex. He's always the one to top. And my headcanon is that despite Steve having a very nice dick, Tony is actually much bigger and Steve is amazed at just how freaking HUNG Tony is. ;)

In honor of the new year, I thought I’d share the only meaningful Stony headcanon I have ever made.

Which is that Steeb is a light brown/tan-colored Holland Lop:

(His big Protecc energy is stored in his floppy ears.)

Meanwhile, Tiny is a black otter Netherland Dwarf:

(Whose goatee and smallness are his distinguishing features, as well as his misleadingly tiny ears, which he thought would grow more as he did but, alas, they did not.)
