I can’t stop thinking about a kanej book of life au with them as Xibalba and la muerte

Alina is Maria, Mal as Manolo and Alexander as Joaquin

Just Kaz will do anything to protect Inej from getting hurt so would Xibalba for La Muerte also they literally are the opposites of each other are they not?

Just Inej calling Kaz a “Misbegotten son of a leper’s donkey” when she’s angry for him cheating on their most recent bet.

Kaz melting when she’s angry and trying to persuade her not to be. He’s just a big softie for his wife.

Jesper is obviously the candle maker he knows how they feel for each other and tried to get them back together and stop making bets with each other.

Wylan is the book in human form and Nina and Matthias are some other gods maybe idk yet

A Malina/Darklina phantom of the opera au because I was listening to the soundtrack yet again and some songs just fit with them so so well.

Like “Why have you brought me here/Raoul I’ve been there” has lines like

“My god who is this man who hunts to kill, I can’t escape from him I never will”

Which resonates with alina and Alexander a lot. Obviously because of them being immortal and Alexander is known for being a ruthless prick.

Or maybe “I’ve been there to his world of unending night to a world where the daylight dissolves” because of the shadows his life has been nothing but dark.

The shadows are extremely powerful in the wrong hands but light in Alina’s hands can go against him as she is his opposite.

Then “The Phantom Of The Opera” there’s Alexander trying to manipulate Alina.

“My power over you grows stronger yet”

He’s using her to hear his music take flight aka his plan of war his plan of ruling. He manipulates her to do his bidding to entice her with love just so he can be omnipotent.

“And though you turn from me to glance behind”

he knows how Alina feels for Mal and uses that against her so so many times just like the phantom uses Raoul to manipulate Christine.

“Those who have seen you’re face draw back in fear”

He’s known for being ruthless, the one pulling all the strings many people fear General Kirigan for who he is. Alina also does fear him just like Christine.

“My/you’re spirit and you’re/my voice in one combined”

They are literally the opposites of each other the light and the shadows one is full of darkness and vengeance and the other is full of hope and innocence they are literally one in the same.

Like Ying and Yang they balance each other out.

Kaz and Jesper are the managers with Inej as Madame Giry maybe Zoya as Carlotta and Genya as Meg?

Nina is one of the ballet dancers along with Marie and Nadia also wylan and David too I’m not sure yet.

MAL HAS A TITLE IN THIS, he’s not as stupid as Raoul and is much more attentive to how Alina feels about everything to do with what happens to her and the rest.

Alexander is known as the black heretic or the phantom for short. He has a huge scar on his left from when he once got attacked by the things inside the fold no one speaks of. He hides it with the mask.

Alina is like Christine cause she gets pushed into the spotlight and doesn’t know how to cope with it at first scared because of the phantom and his obsession with her.

Inej and Kaz are nearly crossing the line between friends/lovers. Many can sense the tension between the two and many of the troupe have made bets on when they’ll get the guts to ask each other out.

Jesper and Wylan are out in the open and obvious. Everyone knew they we’re dating cause they couldn’t hide it.

Nina and Matthias are kinda both out in the open and silent about their relationship due to them being raised on opposite morals and ways of life so they decide to keep it quiet most of the time except for a few kisses/hand holding sometimes.

I’m not sure how I’d end it, maybe I could go in to do a live never dies au and that would hurt to write.
