ENA THEORY

Here's my theory: The game takes place in the purgatory after the explosion in Hiroshima. The Ena's design resembles a military uniform, and in her more human version is somewhat similar to Japanese women and 20th century Japanese fashion. It is possible that she was either Japanese or a military officer who witnessed and was a victim of the attack on Hiroshima. The game starts with a world of endless shops, much like old Japanese shops, and the red sky symbolizes the red from a Atomic explosion.
