doing fun voice effects with all the different aliens is SUUUUUCH a missed opportunity i swear

u only mentioned the mechs, but the vulpamancers too had stuff going on like u said in the tags

but even xlr8 had this neat buzz to its voice that got dumped. and i sort of hated this one, but the og galvan had a voice change too. they ALL did

and a bunch more should have also had that, i think. like there is not a single reason why every single alien should not have a cool voice thing other than the creators just didnt wanna bother with it

i get that its hard but come onnnn this attention to detail is what makes these kinds of shows come ALIVE

a thing I wish was kept "alien" in the show forward was galvanic mechamorphs not having "human" voices

could be misremembering but I feel like it was a pop-up that said the only reason Upgrade has Ben's voice is from the DNA having a part of his (as with all transformations), which I really like and makes him unique

whereas non-Ben galmechs are more like Ship in vocalising with beep-boops, crackling, or machine whirs

it would've made Baz-l difficult to understand initially, and Malware could've sound more horrifying and in pain (even then develop a voice after his evolution, since he can absorb tech)

i adore this tho. idk if the intention was to push the gwevin agenda, but it ended up doing a million other equally hilarious things too

like ben getting treated like a child cuz for so long he WAS the child and RELISHED in being an immature brat that was hell to be around

and he still is immature, albeit in much more minor and digestible way

he just. has absolutely no claims to the front seat in the face of gwen and kevin. like it's kevin's car so he's automatically driver. but then gwen is so smart and put together that she instantly lands shotgun (whether it's to give directions, talk easier with the other Adult in the car, or just because she has that air of authority idk)

its just so fitting for ben and all he encapsulates personality and narrative-wise for him to get landed in the backseat

Anyone else wish there was an episode where Ben just snapped at Azmuth for some of his BS? Or is it just me?

dude. the amount of times i WISH ben snapped. like... even setting aside azmuth’s and ben’s relationship, i wish azmuth was snapped at by someone.

he’s the smartest being in the universe, blah blah blah, and yeah he’s got his own issues (namely the horrible, crushing weight of being smart enough to understand how truly meaningless both life and existence is. like damn, albedo instantly lost ALL will to fight as soon as he had azmuth’s intellect), but that’s no excuse for how he treats others. just like all toxic actions, there’s plenty of reasons for it, but no matter how heartbreaking they are, that’s all they are—reasons. they can never stand in as an apology and NEVER an excuse.

though i admit that that’s half the reason i enjoy azmuth as a character. of course i don’t condone his actions and he’s high key a piece of shit, but he’s fascinating as a character. as the smartest being in the universe, it’s easy to take advantage of others and throw around your “weight.” it’s probably even easier to be toxic, because knowing that everyone around you is dumber than you? knowing that you’re better than them on a chemical level?

that’s not healthy.

i got a bit off-track from the ask, but someone needs to snap at azmuth to get his shit together, and azmuth needs to get that log out of his ass and get some therapy. he owes a lot of people a lot of apologies.
