dude. the amount of times i WISH ben snapped. like... even setting aside azmuth’s and ben’s relationship, i wish azmuth was snapped at by someone.

he’s the smartest being in the universe, blah blah blah, and yeah he’s got his own issues (namely the horrible, crushing weight of being smart enough to understand how truly meaningless both life and existence is. like damn, albedo instantly lost ALL will to fight as soon as he had azmuth’s intellect), but that’s no excuse for how he treats others. just like all toxic actions, there’s plenty of reasons for it, but no matter how heartbreaking they are, that’s all they are—reasons. they can never stand in as an apology and NEVER an excuse.

Im not that same anon, but i will say the way you jokingly talk like a taekooker can sometimes be triggering and hurtful to people like me who really love jimin and thought they curated their spaces to jimin focused accounts. Ive even seen taekookers use your blog posts in their arguments bullying jimin.

Well, that I understand because taekook as a ship used to bother me just as much. It was annoying and sometimes it still is, tho it's become more of a dislike towards them as people rather than the ship itself.

In late 2019, there was some random poll in some irrelevant online magazine (like soompi and stuff) about "which member is the closest to Jungkook?". Jin won. Army voted for Jin and not Jimin, who was without a doubt the closest to Jungkook that year. At that time, things like that also bothered me and made me sad. Now, I guess it's been so long since I got over it and it's a joke. Besides, I understood that most of the information army picked up on was coming from the members themselves, and I couldn't spend a lifetime getting angry about things Taehyung, Jungkook and even Jimin himself weren't going to change.

That vminkook live in November 2021? Watching some parts of it felt terrible. I got over it quick, but at the time I didn't like it. A lot of taekook stuff bothered me, but what is anyone going to do about it lol. And I learned that, and I accepted it. Jimin literally posted taekook with their faces smashed together on his Instagram some weeks ago and pjms were laughing and rejoicing about him giving something to taekookers.

I honestly have no respect left for jikookers after face, or rather after this year, the way I have no respect for taekookers. They've become an easy punching bag with how delusional they were since 2021, and most of my jokes are me just saying the same things they say about jikook, but using it for different ships because it's all so ridiculous. Kai couldn’t believe what had just happened. That must’ve been Klaus or one of his minions. Before he had had even the chance to react , they were both gone. He looked around the school’s front yard , trying to find them somewhere in the crowd but there was nothing. The young heretic clenched his jaw , anger burning in his eyes. There was no way he’d let anything happen to her.

In a haze Y/N opened her eyes , feeling a pain in her neck. She blinked a few times until her eyes opened noticing someone standing close by. “Arhh… Was that necessary ?” Y/N asked Klaus who had knelt on the ground next to her. She looked around recognising instantly where they were - the old Lockwood cellar. “No , but it was definitely fun.” he said smug smirk on his face. “Oh your phone is not here. ” he added noticing her hands trying to reach her bag nearby. “I made sure you dropped it when I grabbed you.” Y/N rolled her eyes. Of course he had. “What do you want with me ? They will figure out I am gone and will find me … sooner than you think.” Klaus laughed for a second. “I am counting on that sweetheart. Personally I want nothing with you. You are just leverage… Its quite unfortunate you’ve been dragged into this.” he sounded almost apologetic. “All I want is one generous blood donation from your mother. As soon as thats done , you get to go home…and be with your charming boyfriend.” Y/N’s thoughts were swirling like a tornado. Klaus knew about her and Kai. He had been watching them. “I don’t care what happens to me.” she said. “But if you touch a him …” “Don’t worry love. I don’t plan on hurting your boyfriend … or you. Unless absolutely necessary.” She kept thinking about the moment she had last seen Kai barely a few hour ago. At least someone knew she was missing. There was no doubt in her mind that he will be the one to find her. Until then , it was better to keep Klaus on his good side. “Satisfy my curiosity…” she started. “How did you find out … about my mother being a human again? Who slipped up ? Caroline or Alaric ? Or was it Matt ? I know he still has a thing for your sister…” “It’s not important.” “OK then … Why didn’t you just ask like a normal person? Maybe if you didn’t do things like kidnapping , blackmail and what knot people wouldn’t be scared of you. Maybe you’d even get to be with Caroline. I know she still has a thing for you…” Klaus looked amused by her words. He got up pulling out his phone from his pocket , texting someone - probably her parents or Caroline. “I like when people fear me , love. Surely your family had told you that.” he said looking up from his phone for a second. Y/N’s gaze drifted to something behind him , noticing a step in the drit that hadn’t been there a moment ago. “Why are you doing this ?” she asked curious. “Caroline said last time she saw you , you were different. Nicer. Why slip back to the person you were before ?” Klaus sighed a serious look on his face. For a moment he hesitated but then took a step towards her. He started to say something and then suddenly his neck snapped. “Let’s get you out of these , shall we.” said Kai appearing from thin air. Y/N had never seen the look he had on his face in that moment. He looked ready to slaughter anyone who got in his way. Somehow that made him look even hotter. Kai pulled the chains off her hands , breaking them in a second, hugging her before she has even had the chance to blink. “I was so worried something might happen to you. He didn’t hurt you did he ?” Y/N’s lips found his before she answered him. “No. I’m … I’m fine.” she smiled , her hands cupping his face. “I knew you’d be the one to find me.” Kai smiled at her , helping her up. “Let’s go before he wakes… other ways I don’t know what I might do to him.”

They ran to her house , opening the door and getting inside. None of them expected to find someone inside , except everyone but Bonnie were there. The look on her parents’ and god-mother’s faces was pure shock. Caroline vamp-ran towards them , Kai raising his hand causing her a witchy headache. “Hey hey… stop.” Y/N said softly. Caroline stopped screaming in pain , her gaze shifting between Y/N holding onto Kai , Elena and Damon and back towards the surprise visitor. “What is he doing here ?!” Elena said rushing to Y/N’s side , grabbing her daughter’s hand pulling her away from Kai. Y/N pulled away from her mother and went back to Kai’s side. ‘What?’ Elena mouthed. “He saved me … from Klaus. I guess he does know about my existence after all.” Y/N said. “.. and Kai is here because , he is my … boyfriend.” she said intertwining her fingers with Kai’s looking nervously around. “Alright , that is enough. I thought we saw the last of you 20 years ago. Whatever spell you have put on my daughter , lift it NOW and run before I change my mind about setting you free.” Damon said. “You are just not as threatening at this old age , Damon.” said Kai amused. “I haven’t put any spell on her. We met and fell in love. Strange how the world works , isn’t it ? I tried ruining your lifes and in the end your happiness brought me mine.” Y/N laid her head on Kai’s shoulder smiling at him. “This is disgusting… but we don’t have time to discuss it now.” Caroline said. “Thanks for saving her , but we got it from here.” “No, you don’t.” Kai said snaking his hand around Y/N’s waist. “You are the only vampire left standing here. Even with Bonnie’s help you won’t be able to protect your friends and her. I can keep her safe like no one else in this room.” Everyone’s eyes were on Kai , looking at him as if he had dropped a nuclear bomb in the middle of the room or something. It had been years and they still didn’t even want to give him a chance , even tho he had just saved her. “Why should we trust you ? You have crossed us so many times …” Elena said calmly. “Because I am in love with Y/N and I can’t think of a better way to die other than to save her life.” Kai said , his tone filled with love and making it clear it was not up for discussion. “For once in your life , put your trust in me … and if not in me then in your daughter.” “Please ?” Y/N pleaded with her parents. “Whoever he was back then , he is not the same person. I love him and I trust him with my life.” Elena turned to Damon who was shaking his head fiercely in disagreement. ‘No.No .. No.’ he mouthed. Kai titled his head around , Caroline doing the same clearly hearing something the rest of them couldn’t. They shot worried glances at each other and the next second the door flew out of it’s hinges. Kai swiftly vamp - ran holding onto Y/N to the far end of the room away from the flying door. Caroline stood protectively in front of Damon and Elena. “Klaus.” she muttered. “Hello , love. It’s nice to see you. Unfortunately as much as I would love to stand here and chat with you , there is something I have to do first.” said Klaus vamp - running towards Y/N and Kai. A second later Klaus dropped on the ground screaming in pain , Kai’s hand raised in the air. “Still think you don’t need my help ?” he asked , not taking his eyes of Klaus who was trashing on the floor with his hands holding his head. Caroline quickly grabbed a wolfs pain / vervain syringe they had prepared earlier , sticking the needle in Klaus’ neck. She blew some hair out of her face looking at Kai who had wrapped his arms tightly around Y/N. “We are NOT done talking about this.” Elena said going to her daughter to give her a hug. “Go. Now. But if something happens to her , you will be held responsible. Got it ?” “Got it.” said Kai. “Do you need something from your room , sweetheart ?” “Maybe just my laptop.” she said smiling nervously. “Can’t bear it if something happens to all our pictures …” Kai kissed her forehead and whooshed upstairs to grab it. Y/N turned to her dad , running to hug him. “You have lost your mind.” he said , holding onto her tightly. “He is a -” “No. He is not.” Y/N pulled away. “Remember when you told me the story of what you were when you first met mom ? How she saw the good in you even though you had done some awful things ? It’s the same with me and Kai. He is not the person you knew.” “Just be careful.” her dad said letting her go. Caroline gave Y/N a hug too and then Kai showed up. He had picked up more than just her laptop - there was an overnight bag in his hands. At that moment Klaus started to groan , the wolfspain / vervain shot starting to wear off. Kai snaked his hand around Y/N’s waist as she turned around for one last look at her family. Elena had tears in her eyes and Damon looked as if he was in pain.Caroline gave them a small smile and then turned her attention to Klaus. Together Kai and Y/N walked outside and in a split second he whooshed them away.

“This is not how I imagined our time alone together.” Y/N said pouring herself 4th cup with coffee for the day. Kai snatched it from her hands , pouring it into the sink. “Hey ! I was going to drink that … ” He kissed her cheek and pulled out a pack with a decaf coffee getting ready to brew a fresh pod. “It’s been 3 days. You have barely slept - all you do is toss and turn all night. When they deal with Klaus , they will call.” said Kai softly , brushing her cheek. Y/N’s eyes had been filled with worry ever since they got to his place a few days ago. Kai had put a boundary spell on the building and on the apartment itself making sure no supernatural can enter.“We are switching to decaf. I don’t want your parents getting Caroline to kill me because you’ve died from going over board with your caffeine addiction.” Y/N smiled for the first time the past few days. “Ahh there it is! I missed your smile.” he said , kissing her briefly. Y/N however didn’t want a brief kiss , she wanted him. Their little moment however was cut short when Kai’s phone rang. He reached into his back pocket , checking the caller ID. “It’s Caroline. Hello ?” “Put it on speaker…” Y/N asked in a hushed voice. Kai had clenched his jaw refusing to meet her eyes and that only got her more worried. He didn’t say much , mostly listened. “What… what is it ?” “I understand.” said Kai , hanging up. “What is it ? Tell me.” she insisted. Kai’s tone was so guarded it made her stomach tie in a knot. Something bad must’ve happened or he would’ve told her straight away what the phone call was about. “It’s … um … It’s your mother….” he trailed off. “Klaus took her.” “What … ?” Y/N felt as if the world had darkened. After all Caroline hadn’t been able to keep her parents safe. If Klaus had her mother … Her eyes started watering , tears threatening to fall down her cheeks at any moment. Kai pulled her into a hug , gently brushing his fingers through her hair. She pulled away from him , running to their bedroom. A few minutes later she came out fully dressed , her hair pulled in a tight ponytail. “Let’s go.” she said with determination. “No. We are not going. Caroline called specifically to ask me NOT to go anywhere. Damon said -” “I don’t care what my father says. We are going to find my mother , got it ? It’s not up for discussion.” she said , searching for a map in the book shelf. Y/N opened the map onto the coffee table , reaching for the letter knife when Kai grabbed her wrists. “Let go of me. Kai wouldn’t listen to her. Y/N had a crazy look in her eyes mixed with worry and recklessness like he had never seen before. She was going to rush into danger and get herself killed. No way he’d let that happen. “Kai. I mean it. Let. GO.” she said starring into his eyes. He sighed , letting go of her hands and rubbing his forehead with his thumb and index finger. Y/N cut her finger letting a few drops of blood fall on the map. He knew what she wanted - a locator spell. “Y/N … I know you are worried but … if something happens to you…” “Nothing is going to happen to me. Just help me … please.” she pleaded , tears starting to roll down her cheeks. “I can’t lose her…” “Okay …” He started the spell , the blood slowly moving on the map of Mystic Falls stopping near one of the back roads out of town. Y/N quickly pulled out her phone , mapping the area where a single house was located. She headed for the door only to have it blocked by Kai a split second later. “Wait for me , sweetheart.” he said calmly , grabbing his jacket and car keys.“We are going to save your mother. i sleep in fetal/yearning position and i think the description of the personalities that sleep in fetal/yearning position is very accurate

mmm i hung out with a lot of different people in high school i went through several cliques in the span of my four years i hung out with “popular” people, artsy groups, anime nerds, and drama people

5: Who was your favorite teacher in high school and why? 

my biggest inspiration was my speech and drama teacher!! i love u miss macuha!!! one time i was crying about her leaving and she grabbed me by the shoulders and told me to never back down and keep doing what i’m doing and that some day i’ll be a great performer and i bawled on her lap she’s an angel and to this day her words still haunt me!! i never felt the reward a teacher reaped from seeing a student reach their full potential

because im so young i do think about travelling a lot but it makes me sad to think about never being able to travel and i have gone to places but i wish i could see other grander countries i never had the opportunity to see

besides all the fun i had i wish i grew up more confident i am a very doubtful person and i grew up in a pretty hostile home and it felt very scattered and broken to me and i just wish those situations were different, other than that i think i am lucky to grow up ok

i like all of my sisters but they can get very frustrating at times i think we stand better now than we did as kids

i met sweetlana on the strokes tumblr tinychat back when they had a roaring fandom and we discovered that we’re both from chicago and we’d talk about silly things and we lost touch for a while but then we reconnected and she’s so darling!!! she would show me her paintings of the blues brothers and we’d talk about our hopes and wishes and now i realize we’ve been doing that for 7 years!!! all we do is exchange selfies and drawings and fantasize about crushes !!!i love her! i can’t imagine not knowing her and never meeting her!

COMIC TEA PARTY- THURSDAY BOOK CLUB START!

Good evening, everyone~! This week’s Thursday Book Club is officially beginning! Today we are discussing Goddess of Paradise by Dee S. / Beedee~! (http://paradise.bluedubia.com/)

Remember that Thursday discussions are completely freeform! However, every 30 minutes I will drop in OPTIONAL discussion questions in case you’d like a bit of a prompt. If you miss out on one of these prompts, you can find them pinned for the chat’s duration. Additionally, remember that while constructive criticism is allowed, our focus is fun and respectfully appreciating the comic. All that said, let’s begin!

QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?

my favorite scene so far i think is when eridu runs into ekka. it was nice to see a character actually be happy to see her after a slew of eridu running into charas who dont really care all that much. and i just think its a good balance in general to all the hard truths eridu has woken up to.

although my second favorite scene admittedly is probably when she meets amun. just cause amun is gonna win all those awards for being lazy and laid back

but in general i liked how casually amun reveals that nah bro, its been 1200 years of slumber. as if its no big deal (which tbf for gods probably kind of isnt to a degree but still XD)

My favourite scene was near the start of Chapter 4, with the human encounter. In large part because there was mention of a "dead human", making me think "wow that took a dark turn"... then it turned out she wasn' t dead and there was the whole "ick" factor, that wasn't dark at all.

Nice sort of twist, is I guess what I'm saying.

I also do like the Ekka scene though. In part because of my tendency to enjoy yuri ships.

ah that was a hilarious moment. where eridu is basically treating the priestess like shes some dead insect or roadkill. but i also like within the comedy you see a really blunt and significant view into how she views humans

Amun was cool, it was a good way to advance the plot, I'm not always keen on the laid back types though, heh.

Yeah, roadkill's kind of a good word the way that happened. ^.^

It's really interesting the way it's developed in first person overall too.

Reminds me a bit of a picture book, but the first person is a different take on that too.

for the record you mean 2nd person. first person is "I do this thing" second person is "you do this thing"

but yeah this is probably the first 2nd person comic ive run into. im interested to see where it goes cause 2nd person is generally the more difficult pov to make work but theres also a lot of potential for creative stuff

Totally. I'm not sure how else you'd do it either, aside form having captions blocking the art. So this works.

another scene i really like is when eridu shows up back on the island and all the green sprouts. cause its beautiful imagery. but im also haunted with questions about what happened to those two people who were watching

Oh yeah, that was great. Goddess of amazing entrances or the like - though we saw the real one later on. ^.^ In retrospect, I feel like that made sense too, with humans being a footnote that she hadn't even expected to be there.

Though I do wonder about them too.

Maybe they were worshippers.

QUESTION 2. After a 1200 year slumber, the Goddess Eridu finds the world quite different. Besides people being on her island, what else do you think will be a culture shock for Eridu? Do you think she’ll be able to adjust to all the changes, or will she refuse to accept them and continue to try to return the status quo? What do you think the other divine aspects have been up to over the years? Do you think more will be glad to see Eridu, like Ekka, or will more act like Amun and not care? Do you believe Eridu will manage to gain back her divine powers, or will something prevent her? Overall, how do you think this journey might change Eridu’s perspective on her divinity, on humans, or anything else? What will that change (or lack of change) mean for Eridu’s future actions?

I wonder if technology exists on a world where Gods/Goddesses are just wandering around.

depends on how we want to define technology. like for instance back when the world was young a loom would technically count as technology just cause it was a machine for advanced tasks.

im gonna laugh if eridu gets to a village and like theres electric lights everywhere. and she flips a light switch on and off wondering how humans came upon such magic and which god gave it to them

i feel regardless technology would advance

since if eridu can be considered a look into the average god/goddess than they probably mostly just ignore humans

unless theyre like "man i feel like being worshipped today"

Well, that's a fair point. I guess I feel like if you can just ask a god to turn on the lights, there's not much need to do the inventing.

I also kind of wonder if one of the divine aspects is what put Paradise to sleep in the first place. Like, maybe was in league with that Enki new God type.

Unless Enki turns out to be a posturing human that the divine aspect was using as a puppet or something.

Also, this is a small island in the middle of nowhere. Maybe the mainland is rather different in terms of society.

this is also a large possibility. i considered that too. that whatever the island is it might not be representative of the world. honestly it could be argued the island has more old world values even cause theyre the only ones with a shrine left

but yeah the twist, i just wouldnt think itd be possible cause the divine aspects are like parts of herself. so itd be hard to imagine one getting powerful enough to oust her. but that is what would make a twist like that so interesting cause it seems so unlikely

i think as far as the aspects though were gonna meet more amun's than ekka's XD not necessarily as laid back as amun, but more like they moved on in life/got bored

Might not be old world values as much as it's just new gods have taken over everywhere and they haven't gotten around to dealing with the island yet.

I kinda thought about the parts of self thing... but isn't there a part of ourselves that we sometimes hate, and wish we could get rid of? And the Goddess doesn't seem like she'd be the nicest person to that part of herself, maybe. Though who knows, I may be way off.

I wonder if some of the others might also be asleep, or be serving other goddesses or something.

the impression im getting is theyre all in their inner sanctums. so cant exactly serve anyone if theyre stuck there. and i also doubt they would cause i dont get the impression they think eridu is dead

thats like declaring loyalty to the assistant manager while the manager is on vacation

QUESTION 3. The largest mystery presented in the story is why Eridu slept for so long. Who do you think forced Eridu (and her spirit aspects) away from the physical plane? What do you think the reasons were? Was it someone trying to do away with Eridu, or was it for some larger, greater good purpose? Does whoever Enki is have something to do with it? Or is Enki just some innocent bystander who was mistakenly identified as the one who created Eridu’s island? What do you think will happen when Eridu finally runs into Enki? Also, considering Eridu was already forced away from the realm, do you believe this could easily happen to her again? What is stopping the culprit from banishing Eridu back?

I feel like Enki is more an opportunist than the one who engineered everything or totally innocent. Though we've yet to meet him.

Kind of like the Wizard of Oz, in a way?

i definitely think thats a distinct possibility. im on the page enki isnt this malicious entity and i dont think enki is responsible for what happened to eridu

but maybe enki is no one. maybe hes just some human who found the island and said "hey my dudes lets live here this island is great." and then as history usually goes stories got exaggerated and eventually a human of great deeds became a god

Oooh, maybe. Like, he doesn't actually exist anymore but put lots of things in place so people wouldn't realize that. (Makes me think of some societies from Star Trek.)

I guess I just feel like that's too obvious of a solution. Goddess blaming the person who's actually behind it. I expect a twist, like how there weren't originally humans on the island.

I hadn't considered Kur as having a part in it. That's interesting.

Enki could also be the one behind it, but he was told to do it by Kur, or someone else.

Incidentally, I like the map feature. That's clever. Tracking the path over the island.

i like to think the reason eridu was sent away was not to do away with her. like maybe eridu did something bad she doesnt remember (or didnt consider bad). like flood some other god's island that got too close to hers. only that island was heavy populated already.

Oh, that's a thought. Or maybe someone else did something bad and she wanted to forget it. Said sleep until I don't remember, didn't realize that'd take a few centuries.

QUESTION 4. Eridu’s arrival seems to coincide with several “coincidences” within the story. Why was the Dragon-God Kur also slumbering for at least 1000 years? Is it somehow related to Eridu, or was it for a separate reason? Why has Kur woken up early? Also, what is Ekka making for Kur that he even goes to the effort of sending Eridu to help get it? Further, we see a few other gods talking about Kur. Why is Shulsa seeking out Kur so desperately? What exactly could go “badly” that Zida leaves to prepare for it? Also, who is Daiard looking to settle a score with? Lastly, why do you think the priestess of Enki was conveniently near where Eridu crashed? Was that just a coincidence, or was she there for a related reason to Eridu?

Kur forgot to hit the snooze alarm. Or whatever the equivalent is. (Oh, maybe that's what they were bringing to him...) I'm also not sure what to make of the interlude. Does make it clear that there are other Gods around, the Priestess wasn't making things up or delusional or something.

Maybe Enki told the Priestess to go there because of all the vegetation.
