I make my grand return to the Tumblr sphere! I started playing an amazing visual novel called Best Served Cold about a month or two ago and fell in love with the aesthetic, the story, the characters - everything.

Been streaming it every week and doing live voice acting for it with a few friends. Even made my own overlay for it and made my own bartender art for myself and the people playing with me (running a speakeasy ain't easy y'know!)

Thinking about how Peter and Hugo feel like two sides of the same coin Both serve to help inform the player of things relating to the case (especially in case 0 and in case 4). Peter gives information on what's happening in the criminal world. Hugo gives information on what's happening in the legal/investigative world. Peter, who's outwardly warm and charming, loves coffee drinks but specifies he doesn't want anything too sweet. One of his favorites is the Cold Winter. Hugo is outwardly cold and reserved, and loves the sweet coffee drinks. He has dialogue that mentions how good the hot cocoa is back home in Belgia. Both ask the bartender whether they should try to leave the life they've built up for themselves. Peter wants to know if he should try to leave the more underworld-criminal world behind. Hugo wants to know if he should leave the corruption of Bukovie behind. Peter seems to get his hackles up talking about his work, he wants to be seen as a person outside of what he does. It takes a lot of prodding from Bartender to get him to actually talk about what's going on in his professional life. Hugo is suspicious of any personal questions and only wants to be seen through the lens of his work. looking at the name of the playlist--where does dogfish come from? peter and dog symbolism makes sense but i don't know what fish symbolism is off the top of my head, so sandra as a fish is a delightful but unexpected image

(CASE 4 SPOILERS!!) Oh, it's... quite silly, really. Nothing deep, lmao

Sandra is referred to as "a slippery fish", "a catch you don't want to mess up" etc by both Peter and Hugo, on top of her name literally being 'Fischer' of course. It just kinda fits her in my mind - she's got that slightly cool, detached energy... And she's beautiful to look at but very difficult to hold on to.

I'm terrible at coming up with ship names and I couldn't use their actual names so dogfish was what I landed on as the placeholder, terrible as it is haha. In my head... it's them!
