Random post: the wallpaper

Its currently like 2 something AM ( thankfully I don’t have to get up in the morning) I’ve been trying to sleep but I can’t because I literally couldn’t sleep until I got this out of my system somehow.

Okay so I’ve been re watching spy x family with my brother, before eventually starting the second season ( which I am unfortunately now caught up to now and have to wait a week for each episode ugghhh).

Any way There’s something I’ve noticed and can’t get out of my head.

while watching I noticed that The wallpaper in the forger apartment.

(please ignore the quality of the screen shots again it’s 2 am.)

Is the same pattern -though more elongated version-that’s on Nezuko’s kimono from demon slayer.

My brother didn’t really care when I pointed it but I can’t stop thinking about it every time it shows up on screen. It’s one of those things you can’t unsee once you noticed it.

Like every time i see it my mind goes ‘nezuko chan!’

Then I start to wonder if it was done purposely , because in the manga the backgrounds don’t have that kind of details and were added for the anime.

The color doesn’t help either

It’s not pink , more like a pale peach or salmon color compared to nezukos light pink.( which Anya’s hair color is similar too now that I look at it — makes sense as both characters are adorable)

The slight color difference doesn’t make it feel any less intentional. Maybe a small demon slayer reference/ Easter egg?

Or it could be that the pattern is popular and I’m just overthinking something that could just be a coincidence.

Though I’m pretty sure tons of other people have and also pointed out, and I just can’t find the posts/comments/ videos that mention it.

So Please Let me know if anyone else has noticed this and if this was already a thing… it’s driving me crazy.

Random Headcanons

This time about Ace and his narcolepsy.

I’m no expert and while there’s probably a proper name for his sleep attacks , I’ve always called them drops in my head .

I’ve noticed that his narcolepsy never acts up during fights or dangerous/ serious situations.

In albasta he drops before smoker shows up. As for buggy … well comparative wise buggy isn’t much of threat to ace power wise.

So My headcanon is that Ace’s narcolepsy only acts up when he’s safe and is a very accurate indicator for when things are safe.

Why? Ace grew up exploring what’s probably one the most dangerous Forrest’s in the east blue( like the gaint animals are what you normally see in the grandline) and fighting adults in place like grey terminal. So maybe his bodies survival instincts developed as an unconscious self-defense mechanism that wards off his narcolepsy until it’s deemed safe. Even when he’s eating he stays awake and alert.—- because eating can induces a narcoleptic attack/ drop ,( yes I did do some research and it’s when he’s eating that we see Ace actually drops in the anime)

As to How the body knows when it’s safe or not , probably an unconscious use of observation haki. Again ace is basically a feral jungle child I wouldn’t be surprised if he unlocked a little bit of haki while in survival mode. If unlocked conquers haki at ten it might not be far of stretch he unconsciously unlocked and used observation haki.

It doesn’t take long for he’s brothers , specifically Sabo, to notice. He starts using it to gauge situations or whether they’re in the clear or not. Like after hunting a tiger or stealing from a bunch of thugs.

Sabo calls it the drop gauge.

The drop gauge is effective enough that his brothers (and later his crew) trust it implicitly.

Seriously they could be captured or and held at gun point by someone like a yanko ,warlord, or admiral but if Ace drops they instantly relax.

because if it’s safe enough that Ace dropped it probably means that whatever the situation is isn’t dangerous so there’s not a lot a lot to worry about.(and usually means that they can get out of the situation easily).

( whether or not ace aware that he’s used as a gauge is up to interpretation)

Bonus Scene: The spades also use the drop gauge especially for after a big fight or a rough storm, everyone keeps their guard up until Ace drops , meaning they’re in the clear , then they can relax.

Spade pirates just finished raiding a marine base or rival pirate crew.

Despite being over an hour since they’ve seen any enemies and probably a safe distance away The whole crew are on alert. Weapons ready and everyone is in position to defend or to get the ship ready to make a quick getaway.

Deuce who’s going over a map with A newer member of the crew.

Deuce: We can head towards this island here if they catch up us.

New crew members: um deuce do we really need to make another escape route? think we can relax now.

Deuce glancing at their captain ,who was talking with skull: no not yet.

Newer crew member: But it’s been an hour already and we haven’t seen anything. I think we’re pretty safe now.

Deuce, knowing that the other more senior members were keeping subtle eye on their captain turns back to the map in his hands:Not until the captain shows us it’s safe. Until then stay vigilant and be ready for anything.

And few minutes later is when the captain ‘shows’ it’s safe.

Ace drops mid conversation, skull catching him before he face plants on the deck.

None of the crew panic when their captain suddenly slumps over ,They’re all to used to the logia suddenly dropping out of nowhere, that they’d normally continue with what they were doing like nothing happened. Unless it it was after a battle.

Anytime Ace drops after a fight he’s always properly checked over.(there have been false drops before like when ace lost to much blood or that one time he got poisoned).

Deuce a little concerned ( because his captains an idiot who doesn’t tell him when he’s injured until he passes out from his wounds) :Well?

Skull looks up after evaluating the logia , who’s already starting to snore, giving the first mate a thumps up.

Deuce smiles and turns back to the rest of the crew. They were all waiting, had been the moment bone and ace stopped talking. they all look in direction waiting for the verdict.

Deuce:Alright captain dropped we’re all clear!

There’s a cheer as the crew finally relaxes.some even start making they’re way to retrieve the booze they managed to steal along with lots treasure.

Bath time

So there’s a bit of a change with the crew’s bathing schedule in this au

With Ace and Sabo being captains of the crew ( especially since in this au they spend a lot more time with Makino , who made sure the two boys knew about basic hygiene)I think they’d set a standard for how often they should wash up. Not that they tell everyone but set an example that the others fallow - even Zoro who canonically baths at least once a week.- so the crew bathing schedule at most every other or two days. so there’s no issue with how often one should bath.

The problem comes from the youngest member Luffy.

So basically luffy doesn’t understand why he needs to take bath , his mom is made of water and he visits her at least once a day so to his logic he’s clean( even though mom tells him he’s still dirty and it’s important to take a bath). This wasn’t much of an issue back on dawn. The boys tended to bath together ; especially after Ace got his devil fruit and as a precaution since he still gets a bit weak in water ( along with his narcolepsy), so they were able to keep Luffy from getting away. ( plus Sabo had told Luffy it was important to stay with Ace until he was done to make sure he didn’t accidentally drown , something Luffy takes very seriously)

- It was no problem since the bandits had a decent bathing area ( the bandits made it a bit bigger with Garps help - saying the boys liked bathing together so of course Garp made sure they had big enough bathtub/ Dadan definitely benefited from this renovation)

or they could go to the river if needed - luffy was instructed to stay close incase something like a crocodile or bear was nearby. So the brothers are used to bathing together.

This continues when they set sail, but the ship’s bathrooms only big enough for two people ( barely). The only upside is that at least he’s contained to just the ship( luffy knows if he escapes to the ocean , mom will just plop him right back on deck- she’s definitely entertained by his antics but knows it’s important to have a proper bath- plus he’ll be forced to have another bath) instead of a whole forest. No one else noticed since it was mainly Ace or Sabo in charge of bath time.

But so after they gather a few members ( after sanji or chopper)they start rotating luffy duty around. One of those includes bathtime; which the brothers did warn them that Luffy will escape if he gets bored. Luckily it’s not an issue because some of the crew members ( Ussop and Nami ) actually had a somewhat normal upbringing / at least until they were 8/ to suggest bubbles and bath toys.

Luffy loves the bubbles so hes content to stay at lest until the bubble eventually run out. Once the bubbles are gone he gets bored.

So He decides to escape Bare naked and all!

So imagine Ace and Sabo will be in the middle of meeting with nami about where to go next and supplies they need to stick up more to some yelling * and get to the deck to see that a nude giggling 6 year old is running around deck!

Shenanigans issue and eventually the boy is caught- depending on how clean he is will determine wether he needs to go back to the bath or not- this quickly becomes a reoccurring problem.

The crew do try to troubleshoot this of course, because simply telling luffy not to won’t work.they try to have someone take a bath with him- and it includes the girls / Luffy doesn’t really understand why guys freak out over girls body’s. He doesn’t act inappropriate either being careful of where he touches ( though mostly thanks to Makino he knows not all girls are okay with being touched and only if they say it’s okay) so bathing with nami or Robin isn’t as big a deal- unfortunately this does little to help and just adds a naked crew member who forgets to cover up or loses their towel during said chase.

So It’s a common occurrence on board ( they’ve excepted that they can’t stop luffy from escaping at this point) and it’s become as competition of sorts who can catch luffy first.( there are multiple towels hidden on deck for when luffy decides to dive or some gets knocked over to grap and cover him up) luffy thinks it’s fun thus encouraged to do it as much as possible even when his brothers are in charge.

This problem would be helped when they get the sunny, having a larger bath to fit 5-7 people

** I still haven’t come up with what they call this situation,definitely something like like we got a code 319 ! Or something Let me know if anyone has ideas please! ( im begging please i need help)

The responsibility of being captains

Now that Ace and Sabo are now captains ( yes both are co captains ) so they have a bit more responsibilities to tend to so they can’t be completely in charge of taking care of luffy. not that they’re particularly happy to spend less time with they’re baby brother, luffy however completely understands and likes spending time with his friends / crew mates.

Eventually nami sits the brothers down to have a serious talk with them , along with the rest of the crew about caring for luffy. The brothers do have a hard time trusting/ completely entrusting their brother with someone else outside of Makino.

they trust their crew to look after luffy or they wouldn’t have let them join after all. And the crew wouldn’t have joined if they didn’t care about luffy to begin with.

So they set up a schedule of sorts for luffy

I’ll probably come back to this another time. But here are a few things luffy learns from each of the crew.

Nami is definitely teaching luffy about navigating and math- nami loves money and math is pretty important when dealing with money-

Zoro is teaching luffy how to handle a blade, a small wooden one because the kid gave himself his scar last time he had a real one.

Usoop , other than playing with luffy the sniper tries teaching him how to aim and how fix things.

Sanji. The blonde was hesitant to let the kid bear the kitchen while he was cooking, because not only will luffy eat anything left out he’s also prone to getting hurt ; by a knife or hot stove. But surprisingly if the kid is motivated ( like wanting to make something for his brothers or a crew mate )enough he can control himself enough to help sanji cook something.

Chopper ; while mostly being a playmate he also teaches luffy about treating injuries; though it’s mostly basic first aid since luffy won’t understand anything else.

Robin , she actually helps luffy learn to read. Sabo has tried in the past but even he struggled keeps Luffy interested enough to actually want to learn it. So he’s happy to let Robin take over.

Random scenes / head canons that can’t get out of my head-

Also most of this is jumps around at different points in the story so it can be confusing so apologies in advance!

Okay baby luffy vs shoes

Okay so this comes from my head canon that Luffy ( especially as a child ) absolutely hates shoes , mostly because why else would he wear nothing but flip flop in canon( even in winter weather) and Makino probably was able to get him to wear them as they were the closest thing to being barefoot without actually being barefoot( plus shanks wearing similar foot ware also helped/ plus they make sounds when you walk- omg imagine if luffy discovered those light up shoes but in sandal form!-

and because in this image

Nika is barefoot- being a god it probably doesn’t affect him being barefoot- so luffy being reincarnation of Nika he probably still prefers not having his feet confined in shoes.

Anyway back to main head canon

So Luffy went completely barefoot until he was 3-4 until he noticed shanks wearing flip flops. Even then it took a lot of convincing from Makino shanks and his brothers for him to finally start wearing them.

He still ends up barefoot half the time , forgetting them somewhere or they fell off while he was running climbing or swimming etc, thankfully flip flops are easy to find ( and cheap enough to buy multiple back up pairs- theirs a whole stock pile / crate(s) full of them) , but his brothers and the crew keep one or two pairs just in case.

Unfortunately he refuses to wear any other type of foot wear, even in winter islands , though once he gets cold enough he’ll put boots on. Unfortunately since he’s not used to wearing themit’s awkward for him so ends up like when you put boots on a dog for the first time and someone actual has to carry him because he’s slow and clumsy.- though they’ll take any excuse to hold luffy especially since his big brothers are so stingy!-

Little sunshine au

So in this au Sabo and Ace are 17 ( basically swapping places with luffy).

After Sabo turns 17 they start their journey , and decide to take their 6 year old brother with them.

( also ace already has his devil fruit, he doesn’t like using it much ; again I’ll explain later)

Garp knows he can’t stop them, it’s actually for the best since the marines have been looking into the island with rumors of a stretchy boy and strange phenomenon in the ocean pop up. He tells them not get into too much Trouble and to protect each other and luffy. He does give them his den den number just in case.

It’s also why they end up taking the fairie instead of sailing out themselves, at least until they can buy a decent ship. They’re money hidden away In their bags. They plan on heading to syrup to get a ship , since it’s known for making good ships.

( they had asked mom to not to help them unless absolutely necessary; one because it feels like cheating: two it draws suspicion. So that’s why don’t just ask her to help them across to the next island.)

One of the rules they came up with for luffy was not to use his devil fruit abilities unless he’s in danger or they say it’s okay. Second is no talking to mom or sea kings in front of others .

Of course they forgot to make rules about normal kid stuff like staying close to them.

And of course luffy being luffy ends up running off on his own. In his exploration he runs into a girl named nami.

Luffy isn’t sure why he’s drawn to her; but he just knows she’s in some kind of trouble and a friend is something everyone one needs when they’re in trouble.

Nami sees the adorable little kid with the straw hat that’s a bit to big for him , can tell he’s wandered away from his guardian: ( both are currently panicking because they literally just started they’re adventure ; literally an hour ago and they had lost Luffy already.) decided to keep an eye on him till the little ball of sunshine finds them.

She manages to keep the little guy in one place long enough for his big brothers to arrive . The two teens Rushing over worried out of they’re minds ( they had almost went as far as to Ask mom for help but she only gave them amused splashes )once they were sure he was okay Ace bonks him on the head for running off, Sabo gently explains that it’s dangerous to wander by himself.

Luffy says he wasn’t by himself he was with his friend nami .

They thank nami for looking after him. They actually end up talking a bit before alvida arrives and attacks the ship.

They get split up. Ace ending up with nami and Sabo with lufffy and eventually run into koby.

In the middle of the pirate attack Luffy had walked up to Coby , similar to how he felt drawn to nami earlier asked him , asking if he had any snacks , like there wasn’t a raid going on. Sabo ends up grabbing them both to find a place to hide.

Ace notices nami sneaking onto the enemy ship, because he is a thief himself so knows one when he’s sees one. Nami is of course upset about him fallowing her and ruining her plan, Ace just explains that luffy would be upset if his friend got hurt.

Nami tells him that she doesn’t need his help, just as one of the pirates finds them; who Ace easily takes care of.

He tells her she can keep what ever she finds as long as they help her to the next island.

So basically Ace helps her steal tons of treasure.I’m return she’ll help them get to the next island.

Meanwhile Sabo and luffy are hiding in storage with Koby.

Koby apologizes for getting Sabo and luffy in trouble.

Luffy just says he’s stupid for cowardly. ( as bluntly as any child would ; which is basically canon luffy so not much different them)

Sabo tries to be a bit more gentle in his approach. He understands why Koby would be afraid but he just needs some encouragement to be brave.

Luffy asks if he has a dream.

Koby admits admits he wants to be a marine one who can protect people.

Luffy then tells him his dream, to become pirate king.

Koby is surprised that the kid isn’t even afraid when he tells him how dangerous it is , and how calm his older brother is about it. But Luffys conviction even though he’s only six is inspiring to Coby.

When alvida finds them Coby finally has the courage to stand up to her, luffy cheering that he isn’t a coward anymore, though it’s short lived when the woman moves to hit him.

Sabo steps in to help, comendimh the kid for standing up to his captor.

Sabo asks Coby to keep an eye on luffy , taking his pipe and starts kicking ass.

At some point ace joins in, saying when they’re done they got a ride waiting for them. They proceed to beat the hell out of the pirates, Koby I’m awe at just how strong the two of them are. Several things end up on fire and people get tossed over board before they over hear that marines are nearby responding to the distress call.

With that they grap luffy and Coby heading for the getaway boat.

Nami is waiting in a decent sized life boat, with treasure and aces bag. The boys hop in together telling her they need to get going

She tries asking about Coby but ace tells her he’ll explain later cause marines will be there soon and they need to get out of there.

She of course yells at them not to order her around before shoving the paddle to them because they’re much stronger and can row faster than her!

Luffy is giggling while Coby holds him wondering what he just got himself into.

And that’s the first episode

Luffy being a young god.

Okay I think I should explain the luffy being a god part of this au.

So Luffy is reincarnation of Nika / joy boy.

However he’s not completely a god yet. He still eats the gum gum fruite but that only returns some of his powers. His rubber abilies the rest are sealed away.His body is still young and isn’t ready to handle the powers of a god yet.

However there are somethings he can do ( most of it he does unknowingly like claiming/ blessing/marking his brothers and later his crew mates)

- that is inspired by fics specifically kissed by the sun, a few other fics and orange artists asl god au/////// seriously go check it out it’s amazing.

But other than that he’s not a god (maybe Demi god) his divinity sealed away so he’s mostly human physically at the moment with the gum gum fruit added on.

- as for his actual conception I’ll get into that later if anyone’s interested.

He can use the voice of all things to talk to animals and sea kings. He doesn’t need conquers haki they’re just his friends; that also happen to show up when his mom is being protective— ace and Sabo do have to ask her to reign it back when they start their journey.-

He isn’t affected by sea water or seastone like regular devil fruit users. He’s actually a pretty good swimmer. He doesn’t even need to hold his breath when goes under.

- for ace he isn’t affected as bad in sea water, he doesn’t lose his strength but he still can’t swim, he doesn’t exactly sink either ; mom wouldn’t let him ( any any of them ) drown. Seastone is similar only weakening a little - just not enough to stop him if he’s determined enough so basically they’re just annoying.

He can also recover faster in water ( fanfic unsinkable) since his body is still mostly human like despite being made of rubber.

- his brothers can heal to but it’s not as effective as it is for luffy but it still helps immensely . Especially in Sabo’s case.

After eating the gum gum fruit- he’s 3-4/ he does gain some more fighting prowess, so he’s better at using his powers compared to canon luffy, enough that he isn’t liability when they leave to become pirates later.

- maybe it’s like a weird form of muscle memory that he instinctively knows how to fight it just comes back a bit slowly. But he still needs his brothers to help him though

Mother ocean

So I forgot to mention that Ace and Sabo get adopted by the ocean.

The Sea sees how much the two boys love her son and the bond he has made with them despite his infancy, a mark in their hearts that in time will glow bright as the sun.

She doesn’t do anything until when They decide to promise their brother hood with sake at the beach.

As she looks deeper she sees how they have no where to really belong too. So she claims them as her own. After all they call her son their brother , solidified with sake - and juice for luffy - it makes sense that it be made official.

Not a moment after they set they’re cups down does she sends a wave and She pulls them into her waters , the boys panic of course but they don’t drown as they expected, and bestows her mark on them. A symbol that appears and fades over their heart. - intertwined with her sons mark-

The gods can mark those they choose to bless. The mark can appear and disappear ( though most of the time it’s always visible)but will always remain.

When they are back on the beach they some how know that the ocean just adopted them , the mark on their chests prove that.

It’s weird having an adoptive mom , let alone that it’s the literal ocean , ace is especially hesitant about this new concept.( Makino is more of a big sister to them )

But the boys come to enjoy having the ocean as a guardian. Sure she can’t show affection or care for them the same as a human but they can feel how much she cares in every wet but warm embrace, the teasing splashes , and scolding ripples. Calling the sea mom becomes easy as calling each other brother.

So yeah the brothers are now officially brother by promise made of sake and by the seas blessing.

How it starts

It’s a bit of a rant so it’s a lot.

Okay I’ll start with Makino

She knows about ace and Sabo. Garp would often stop by for food and alcohol before heading up the mountain to visit Ace. When ace was just about to turn 6 he asked for he help in finding a present for him. Makino inquired a bit more and learned that Garp left a child with mountain bandits. Worried about the boy she decided to tag along to help bring the supplies.

Ace of course was wary of the unfamiliar woman yelling at her to go away but Makino was patient ( lord knows she is if she raised luffy in the original canon) and a few more visits she managed to gain the boys trust.

After that Makino frequently visits , Dadan is more than happy with it as it brings food and booze but the brat seems to like her too. She also meets Sabo , Ace had forgotten something and managed to fallow ace to where they met up.

Eventually they start coming to the party bar , Makino had told them that if they want food they were more than welcome at her bar. They even bring her fresh meat already skinned and cut as thanks and sometimes some money and jewelry they stole. She can’t stop them from going to grey terminal but she can give them a place to come when they’re hurt or hungry.

Of course this also how the old marine finds out about Sabo earlier and claims the blond as his grandson on the spot.Something Sabo is both terrified ( because of what ace has told him)and happy ( because someone actually wants him)with.

It doesn’t take long after that to start referring to the boys as brothers / they do decide to make it official with sake later but that’s with Luffy/they live, play , train and steal together . Though they call each other friends they definitely feel it’s more than that.

Any way fast forward—

So when Ace and Sabo are ten , Garp calls asking for him to meet him at makino’s bar in few days. Dadan is with them because garp never calls ahead when visits nor does he ask them to meet anywhere outside the moutain.( she’s not the best foster mother in the world but she knows somethings up).

While waiting the boys are nervous, did someone find out about ace? Or was it Sabo’s father? They don’t know because Garp isn’t answering when they call, so they can only wait and grow more nervous.

So everyone is surprised when Garp arrives with an infant. Who introduced as his biological grandson luffy, Ace and Sabo’s new little brother.

Makino instantly takes the baby, no offense to Dadan ( the two women have become good friends over the years) but bandits aren’t ment for raising children. Dandan immediately refused to take the kid after Garp said he was his grandson, she’s already dealt with enough sleepless nights and dirty diapers so no thank you!

Ace notices the way Makino looks at the baby , love and care , thinking that the person who was kind to him won’t care about him anymore storms off. To many emotions to deal with so he needs so punch / kill something.

Sabo fallowing after him- mainly to make sure Ace doesn’t do anything extra stupid when he’s pissed but he’s also torn about the baby. When his brother / yes I know he’s adopted in canon but this isn’t canon it’s an au so he’s biological brother/ sterry was born everyone focused more on him especially when Sabo started going against being a noble. Back then it was fine since if his parents were more focused on Sterry he was able to get away . But know with people he actually cares about it’s different.

Makino wants to go after them but dadan tells her to let them go , but she does go to check on them.

( it’s while they’re gone that Garp asks Makino to stay and explains a bit more about Luffys mother)

The next few days / weeks the boys avoids Makino and the baby. Even when the woman makes the trip up the mountain , bringing luffy with her, they storms off. This of course upsets Makino and dadan has had enough of the boys making the young women upset.

It’s probably the few times( if not the first time) Dadan actually gets serious with Ace even going as far as to ground both boys Sabo tries to argue but the woman isn’t having it. Makino has enough to handle with luffy , she doesn’t need to deal with the two brats throwing a tantrum. So in a rare display of parental authority she tells them to go foosha apologize and that they’re not allowed to hunt go off to the woods , or grey terminal for 2 weeks. And does she get a rowdy angry strong brats to listen ? Easy she says she’ll Garp as a threat- ace knows she’s not bluffing last time she did that he was 7 causing all kinds of trouble until the Marine put him through training hell. The man takes any excuse to put them through marine training—. The other bandits keep a close eye on them so they can’t sneak off either.

So with guilty conscience they decided to head to foosha village for the majority of their punishment.

Makino is happy to see them, even if they only came because they were grounded.( she’s proud of Dadan , who called to inform her she might be seeing the brats in a day or two).

They apologize, sabo having the idea to bring flowers they picked along then way, ( this is also before ace starts learning manners so his his apology isn’t exactly proper but Makino understands him enough to know he’s genuinely sorry). She accepts the apology and makes them breakfast.

However before she can start someone comes in saying there’s a situation at the dock’s about her usual supply delivery.

Makino expected this , Garp had arranged something for her as compensation for taking luffy, so she would get better supplies, however that meant some one new would be there and the people on the docks were wary of new comers. If she didn’t sort it out soon a fight was going to start.

However she can’t leave luffy alone , she just put him down in the basket on the bar( the baby hated being alone and cried when ever she tried to leave him in another room.)

The only other people in the bar were ace and Sabo.

Noticing her dilemma Sabo offers that they can watch luffy for her. Ace is obviously not okay with that asking why he would offer that, Sabo says that they use it to help apologize.

Ace gets that but they don’t know anything about caring for a baby.

Sabo responds that he read a few books on taking care of babies, and rereading them after luffy arrived out of curiosity. So he can watch luffy even if ace is useless. Which ace takes offense to and the boys start arguing

While they’re arguing Makino thinks it over . She knows leaving two ten year olds in charge of an infant wasn’t the most responsible but she didn’t have much other options. She’s already had several complaints about Luffys crying( she felt awful knowing he was in distress) and she can’t bring him to the docks ; that would risk someone outside the village finding out about his heritage. The boy would try to get in the water — he’d given her a few heart attacks when he did it the first few times; the situation could get out of hand and she didn’t want him getting hurt.( or anyone else in his mother’s protective wrath)

So She accepts the offer She explains that it shouldn’t be long , 30 minutes at most.

All they have to do is watch him , she just changed his diaper and if he wakes up and starts to cry she’s has a bottle prepped and instructions in the kitchen if he’s hungry.

So she leaves leaving them and luffy,

For several minutes it’s quite , and the boys think it’ll be fine and that Makino was worried for nothing.

But them luffy wakes up a few minutes later and starts crying they start panicking. Ace covering his ears yelling at Sabo to do something, the blonde tries to rock the baby back to sleep but that does work. Then he remembers the bottle and the instructions Makino left. So he tells ace to watch him while he makes a bottle or two , leaving ace to watch him.

Ace is of course not happy about being left with the crying baby but Sabo is already gone so he’s stuck babysitting.

Eventually he can’t take the noise anymore so Ace goes over to the basket and glares at the baby telling it to shut up. The baby stops for a moment opening his eyes to look at the new person talking to him.

Ace is surprised by how bright and warm the infants eyes are. Looking at him He fully expects the baby to start crying again.( after all he’s monster)

But instead the baby smiling, a bright and happy one ,giggling. The boys laughter is a wonderous warm sound that makes ace heart swell.

Ace is taken aback by that. Why was the baby so happy to see him? He’d never seen anyone, other than Sabo, to genuinely happy to see him . (Even Makino was kind but she was a bit hesitant to approach him when Ace yelled at her go away; he’s glad she didn’t).

He realized he never actually got a good look at the baby before. He looked so small and fragile , vulnerable. Ace could easily crush him, he’d crushed many animals and adults. Yet the baby , luffy , wasn’t afraid of him. Instead he was eagerly reaching for him.

Ace reached out his hand to touch him , tiny soft hands wrapping around his finger in surprisingly strong grip.

Sabo came rushing back with the bottle surprised to see his best friend staring at the baby with fascination. ( a warm look he’d never thought he’d see on his friends face)

He doesn’t even pull away when luffy starts putting his finger in his mouth. Though he takes that as sighn that he’s definitely hungry.

Seeing Ace’s new interest in the baby Sabo tells ace to pick him up so he can feed him. Ace panics because he doesn’t know how to and why does he have to?

He likes you so you get to feed him!

Knowing he can’t win an argument with Sabo he carfully picks luffy up , realizing that he’s even smaller and breakable in his hands.

Sabo instructs ace on how to hold and feed luffy - the blonde while ace is internally nervous because while his strength allows him to securely hold luffy he could also easily crush him. Sabo actually finds it a little funny watching ace , who brave and confident, panic internally as he holds the baby like it’s a bomb.

But seeing luffy comfortable in his arms Ace relaxes and takes the bottle from Sabo.

Luffy ends up going through 3 bottles ( the note said more than one : Luffys still a D and a Monkey ) before he’s full.

Once he’s done with the bottle he starts whining. Ace panics thinking he did something wrong, Sabo takes him from ace , after taking his cravat off and using it as a rag putting it over his shoulder- mimicking what he’s seen Makino and nanny’s do after a feeding a baby, pats him on the back . The baby burps , surprisingly load and earns a chuckle from boys , Sabo moves to hand him back over to ace.

Except the baby doesn’t want to leave the blonde hold gripping tightly to his shirt. Readjusting to get a better hold on the baby , luffy pats Sabo’s face with tiny hands giggling. Just like with Ace ; Sabo is surprised by how bright luffy is , all from being in Sabo’s arms.

I guess he likes you too. Ace teased,

By the time Makino gets back the boys are completely smitten by the baby. They don’t even leave at night because luffy started to cry when they started to head back.

They spend the next few day’s learning how to take care of luffy , diapers duty is not fun but they still do it, they don’t even go back to the moutain for a few days.

However they’ve noticed something odd , Makino takes luffy out before bedtime and comes back with a sound alseep luffy and her skirt wet. She tells them that walking on the beach helps put the baby to sleep.

Still something is right about that explaination so the boys fallow her one evening.

Makino goes to a more isolated part of the shore, far away from any villagers. She takes her shoes off and walks into the water until it’s at her calves.

To their shock she puts luffy , the vunrable tiny infant, in waves.

They rush over yelling , but it’s to late a wave had pulled luffy under.

Some how Makino is able to calm them down and points just a bit farther in.

Luffy is fine, floating safely , giggling as the waves gently rock him back and forth.

When they ask, Makino tells them Luffys mother would never hurt him.

Before they can ask what she’s talking about A wave of water comes over , unnatural I’m its movements , holding luffy out to Makino son’s asleep and yet completely dry. Makino takes him the water retreating back, but not before gently caressing boys check. The young women doesn’t give the boys any room to ask anything else’s before ushering them back to the bar, it’s already late and it’s bed time.

Once they’re back and luffy is tucked in for the night she answers what she can of they’re questions.

She explains to them that Luffys mother is ocean, that’s why she brings him here so she can rock luffy to sleep. She also explains how it could be dangerous if anyone found about it.

The boys promise to keep it a secret. After all luffy was they’re little brother after all.

And wow thats a lot, if any of this sounds familiar it’s inspired from multiple fics about baby luffy and mother ocean fanfics

Little sunshine au

Okay I know only just posted the beginnings of my ASUL au but I can’t help myself.

Note; this is completely separate from the ASUL au

So I’m addicted to baby luffy fanfics where luffy is younger with his big brothers. It’s so adorable and I just love it , but I also don’t see it a lot so I’m making up stuff myself!

So Basically luffy is 10 years younger and his big brothers swap places with him in the main story.

( that means the two are 17 when they would be 20 in canon and end up meeting the straw hat crew in Luffys place)

Yes I’m aware of Aces side story and his crew but here that’s not exactly the case here— same with the fact that he and Sabo were born a bit later than in canon; but I’ll probably explain that later

Again I’m aware none of that is makes sense with canon timeline but this an alternative universe so anything is possible!

Is that all ? No! My brain decided to add to that with another concept I’m obsessed with that is the reincarnated god luffy and Luffys mother is the literal ocean fics to it. So not only is it a baby luffy au but a baby reincarnated god luffy au!

So adorable baby luffy antics , protective and adoring big brothers Ace and Sabo , the usual strawhats chaos, and very entertained( and protective )mother ocean.

ASUL au

Specifically info about Uta

My headcanon is that she’s highly sensitive to haki and voice of all things ( yes both), hence why she’s always wearing headphones. So she has bit more training in haki.- stuff I’ll explain later in another post if anyone I’d interested further. Or just because..

Yes I’m aware none of that is canon but this an alternative universe and that means anything is possible!

Ive also decided that Uta is a year older than luffy making her two years younger than Ace and Sabo.

Also she definitely was more into the pirate lifestyle. I definitely see Shanks and his crew teaching her how to fight , raise the sails , navigate and how to use a knife / gun.

- all with supervised once she was old enough to to understand what she was being taught. Teaching a toddler how to use a knife is not responsible,Ben honestly should have seen it coming since Shanks was raised by pirates himself.

Plus we see her climbing the ropes and balancing on the ships mast and banister so I also think she’s a bit of an acrobat as well as a dancer.

However the major differences is when it comes the elegia disaster.

That she was aware after setting tot musica free and remembers what happens. - which I will explain in later post

My first major au for one piece.

Most of it is inspired my multiple fanfics I’ve read.

One of the things I love is the asl brothers! And I always think about what if they stayed together instead of getting separated.

And since film red was basically what got me to actually start watching one piece I have specifical spot for Uta .

So I instantly started thinking about what if Uta was with luffy ace and Sabo growing up.

The ASL is now ASUL!

They also decided to become pirates together!

So right now I’m currently deep diving into One piece . This series has completely taken over my brain since I started watching it last month.

I’ve always known about one piece - it’s impossible not to if you watch anime or read manga- but it was the film red , listening to the songs and later snippets from the actual show on tik tok that I started getting interested and finally started watching it. And I can’t believe I didn’t start watching it sooner!

Note : I’m currently not completely caught up in the anime but am spoiled on mostly everything both in anime and manga. I didn’t skip skypia or Davy games.

Okay so I haven’t posted anything before ( I mainly joined tumblr/ various other social medias/ so it would stop asking me to join/ sign in all the time ) being more of a follower than actual posting stuff . but I recently got into making tons of headcanons and au s that are taking up space in my head and in my notes, yes notes though they’re more like mini incomplete fanfics at this point, any way I finally decided to share them.
