I feel like pre-dungeon Mithrun was the kind of person who's nice to others but very pent up that sometimes he took it out on his family, especially one that had lesser power, his brother... (many such cases)

I don't mean like Mithrun insulted him (imo past Mithrun seemed very nice even if he's fake, he didn't let it slip at all) but he denied his brother's affection and withheld his own. He felt like he couldn't accept it.
