Lytkin's temper has sharpened. He became afraid of people. When the guests came, he locked himself in his room, determined to stay there until the last. After the whole truth was revealed, Marina Lytkina could not come to terms with it for a long time. She did not believe that her son was capable of such atrocities. After watching that very recording, she had to come to terms with the terrible truth.

Now the woman hides her face, communicates with interviewers in a semi-dark room.

A bit about Nikita

Nikita was a subject to bullying throughout his entire life. His mother stated that when he was younger and scribbled something on the walls, the other boys would make him clean it up. He had a lag in his psychological development, so he didnt understand everything like everyone else did. Nikita often needed help in multiple subjects like Russian, maths etc. That lag made him more prone to getting picked on by his peers.

He was poor, his mother worked multiple jobs and was trying her hardest to give nikita a decent life and to somehow survive off what she was earning at these jobs. Nikita often wasnt able to buy new clothes aswell as shoes, hence the tape on one shoe of his. Nikita was remembered by people that knew him in person because of the weird faces he would make when someone was giving him attention. Its sad because he probably wasnt used to getting recognized by people at all.

Other statements of people who knew him too, said that he never talked to anyone else but artyom at school. Someone on a russian forum said that they remembered nikita by the way he dressed. Sometimes he wore sunglasses and a hoodie, even in the summer. Or a dirty brown knitted sweater, and often had very greasy hair. Apparently multiple people mentioned that he was smelly.

That was also a reason why people picked on him that much. Even one of his „friends“ that helped nikita to adapt to his class used him like an object. (Artur Lysenko) . Nikitas mother also once said that when nikita and artyom had an argument, she advised nikita to just apologize and go back to artyom since he was his only friend at that time, to which nikita replied:“If you only knew what kind of a friend he was“.
