adults are always talking about how “kids will do anything to get out of school” and okay, first of all that’s not true, but I think we really need to ask why that idea holds so much sway.

children’s brains are hard-wired to take in new information and acquire new skills. consider, for a moment, just how thoroughly our society had to fuck up the concept of education for it to be a normal thing to assume kids are universally desperate to avoid learning.

Boy Meets Girl

Aaaand I think that's it for now! I have an illustration for each chapter up to Chapter 7, and I think each one tells the viewer an excellent job of what each chapter will entail beautifully! Originally I wasn't going to draw Ness all covered in paint, but then I thought "oh what the heck, I think it's cute, plus it'd show that the Happy Happyists are in this chapter too." Eitherway, I thought this was the best way to show off what my good friend @lugiepie calls "the gayest relationship between a boy and a girl."

Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water is just an elaborate self-insert fic thought up by a nerdy high-schooler to impress a girl he has a crush on. It ends up actually working in the end, and the two are now dating.

I hate hate HATE all those 2edgy 4me theories about kids shows. Like Angelica dreaming up the rugrats, or the ed, edd, and eddy children being ghosts, or literally anything that takes a lighthearted and fun kids show and has to turn it into some tragic take of rape or murder or misinformed mental illness. So you know what? From now on I’m gonna do the exact opposite. Every cool grim-dark show is now because of a bunch of children. To get us started: Game of Thrones: A middle-school DnD campaign with the most angry, vindictive DM who has promised to kill everyone’s player characters (and their family) by the end.

Guys, look at this art of Vivian my bestie made, NOW. It's so good!

Vivian is trans in the remakes, as she should be! To celebrate and to help gain more traction to my page, I drew this! I’ve never played the original TTYD door but Vivian was always an interesting character to me, and when I found out I was trans, the I grew a bit more connected to the character! I’d absolutely love to play the remake when it’s out! Maybe I can get it for my birthday.

Also anyone who refuses or prefers to not see Vivian as trans is approving of the erasure of her identity. The denial I’ve seen towards her being trans in the remake is insane, especially with the mods of the Paper Mario subreddit, but thankfully, I don’t ever go on that sub and only checked it to see what the community thought about Vivian being trans in the remake which from what I saw was mostly positive but with a few detractors, which admittedly was expected, but those people are pathetic. Thankfully I’ve seen so much more positivity about it here, so yeah, I hope y’all like this drawing!!!
