Background: Ifrit was born mute and deaf. He communicates through sign language and learn how to read people's lips at a young age. He hates lectures because because, even though he knows how to lip read, it's easy for him to miss a few words of the lecture when the professor is speaking quickly or when they have their back turned while writing on the board. He's usually found at RAD's library. When Bimu's older brother, Tomoya (who was the librarian at the time), figured out about Ifrit not being abt to hear, he took up sign language, then became the Devildom History teacher, he surprised everyone including Ifrit, by explaining the lesson in sign language as well as speaking. Of course, Ifrit was moved, and this was the start of their love story.

Some time later, Ifrit gained the ability to hear after going through some... tests? Experiments? I don't know what you call it but he was torturing himself by injecting his body with potion (if you watched Arcane, it's kinda like how Viktor was using Shimmer). Tomoya found him lying on the library floor after he accidentally took a little too much potion in one go. He saved Ifrit's life by bargaining with the Grim Reaper, Candy.

Ifrit and Tomoya now live together at Ifrit's place.
