Maybe it's just me but I feel like it'd be really interesting to hear your perspective on what type of yandere the characters would be. The yandere mbti thing, you know? Cruel/Reverent, Aware/Delusional, Strict/Lenient, Honest/Manipulative. Then adding to that, are they obsessive, possessive, violent, what other -dere type fits them, et cetera. If you're not interested, that's fine..

I feel like arkhamverse Scarecrow would be a nightmare (hehheh) to deal with. Well, Jonathan Crane in general, but him? He's so full of malice and hatred in Knight, I can't imagine the experience being very pleasant for the unfortunate soul that he loves. Thoughts?

oh absolutely

i feel like he's the most sadistic out all his counterparts, and he's willing to do more experiments on you. most of his obsession comes from a morbid fascination and desire to study every inch of you. his sharp, syringed fingertips dragging along your body is the closest you'll get to him showing affection.

he'll definitely use his fear toxin on you many times, intensely studying your reactions, your fears, the way you scream and the faces you make.

it would not be fun at all to be his darling 😭 especially his arkham knight version. i think his asylum counterpart would be kinda similar, but he's less sadistic and actually would act like a lover (sort of...in his own way lmfao)

cruelty: how would they treat their darling once abducted? would they mock them?

❤︎ she'd never mock you, in fact she'd be rather understanding of your predicament. after all, cats never like to be cooped up for too long. she'll just have to train you to like it. but as long as you behave, you'll be treated like royalty.

wit’s end: would they ever hurt their darling?

❤︎ selina sees you as her most prized possession; something to be handled with the utmost care. but, if you insist on misbehaving...perhaps if she roughed you up a little bit, you wouldn't be so insistent on disobeying her. she'd never do anything permanent, but expect to have some scratches or bruises here and there. a reminder of your place.

I keep thinking about (Arkham) Eddie stalking his darling and what the hell would even make him become so obsessed with them? How'd he even come across them? Likely in part them being smarter than the average Gothamite, but that's probably not hard.

in my own little story i made up, i imagine eddie leaves (sometimes deadly) puzzles around gotham for it's citizens to solve. he believes their minds are rotting, that with every passing moment another moron infects gothams streets.

you come across a few of these puzzles and manage to solve them. when you do, you get to take a little riddler trophy as a souveneir.

eddie takes notes on this and starts to observe you more through hidden cameras around the city. eventually, the trophies you take home will have cameras in them too, to study you in your natural habitat.... idk maybe thats dumb but ive had that idea swimming in my head for awhile :P

i also imagine he'd have to have a darling that hates batman, or at least be someone with similar morals to his own.

𖦹 there are many ways that eddie shows affection; he'll give you complex and intricate puzzles to solve, "to keep your mind sharp". he's very physically affectionate, and enjoys being in proximity to you, even while you're doing separate things.

blood: how messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

𖦹 eddie doesn't like to get "messy". every action is precisely calculated, and done in a swift and orderly manner.

𖦹 however, if someone were to hurt you or show an interest in you...eddie won't hesitate to paint the walls with their blood, leaving them an unrecognizable mess. a lesson for others to not take what is his.

darling: aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

𖦹 if he has to, yes. eddie would much prefer that you submit willingly to his affections, but that doesn't stop him from doting on you. it's in your best interest that you dont resist or act repulsed by him, lest you deal with his hysterics.

exposed: how much of their heart do they bare to their darling? how vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

𖦹 not much, initially. despite being totally enamored with you, eddie is still guarded and mistrustful. it takes a lot to get him to open up about his childhood and his fears.

𖦹 after a while, if you haven't tried to escape for fight back, he'll open himself up to you. he's more recipient to you initiating affection, and being more vulnerable.

xoanon: how much would they revere or worship their darling? to what length would they go to win their darling over?

𖦹 he would go to hell and back for you. you're the only one who understands eddie, who compares to his intellect. complicated puzzles and ciphers are made in your name, all for the sake of impressing you. he expects you to worship him equally as much, of course.

How about a yandere story? In this story the reader likes someone, so they try to make a love potion... so that their future lover will fall in love with them... But something went very wrong and turned their passion into a bed yandere little by little

▪ you're the only thing that makes sense to harvey. in his world, full of uncertainty and chaos, he knew you were the one. no matter what his coin said, you were the one.

▪ you're never allowed out of his sight. after losing rachel, harvey is determined not to lose anyone else important to him.

▪ he never hurts you, even if you try to escape or fight back. harvey sees you as this almost angelic being; one that should be protected from any sort of harm. (i honestly see nolanverse two face being the most gentle to his darling)

▪ the coin controls almost every aspect of both of your lives. you're hardly allowed to make any decisions yourself—harvey will have to flip for it, even for something as simple as what clothes you wear.

▪part of harvey doesn't want you to see him at all. he wants to hide his scars—mental and physical—from you, wanting your memories to only be of him before the incident. he's not surprised when you flinch at the sight of him although it certainly doesn't hurt any less.

▪i think he'd have even more of a connection to you if you knew each other before he was scarred. you're the last remnant of harvey's old life, the one thread keeping his mind from completely snapping. he couldn't let you go now, or ever, even if he wanted to.

I wanted to continue my (also our) thoughts about Arkham staff trying to convince Eddie to leave his darling alone. It turned into a long fic. I wrote this with Arkhamverse Eddie in mind, avoided actual dialogue because he's hard to write. I don't consider myself a good writer nor a writer at all, I'm more of a visual guy, so I hope that this won't make you die from cringe. I tried my best to avoid any linguistic errors, I'm Finnish. I should also be asleep. I hope that I won't immediately start regretting this.

Of course, the Arkham staff had been informed of Edward's obsession with his victim darling. He insists that no, they're NOT a victim, he has never hurt them, he couldn't. He wasn't his dreadful father, couldn't be like him. He took them away from Gotham's fools for their own good. They could only be safe with him.

The poor doctor assigned to Edward had been trying her best at convincing him otherwise. It was unhealthy and wrong, keeping them against their will. She had, of course, failed. It's hard to convince a delusional fanatical narcissist that he's wrong. She had only angered him greatly and was now in a traproom, forced to try and solve an impossible puzzle, or she'll be crushed between moving walls. She had been given 5 minutes and the clock had started ticking the moment Edward started his short lecture.

Edward had told her of her predicament, what she had to do and of the reason why, sneering. Then he left her to her own devices, no reason to waste any more time on her. She wasn't the Dark Knight.

He wanted to be with his love. His darling love and obsession, tied to a chair, forced to watch her inevitable doom from the screens.

His hand in their hair, stroking gently, lovingly, like he wasn't causing them more trauma. They try to convince him that he doesn't have to do this, she was just doing her job. He just tells them that she deserves it for daring to try tear them apart from each other.

He is delusional enough to think that this could finally make them understand. Understand and accept that they'll be together forever, that no-one loves them like he does. The walls start closing in and she can only scream and cry. His darling feels their tears fall and he wipes them away. If they still don't understand, it's okay. He'll do this as many times as it takes. He'll do anything to make them eternally his.

✁ he wants to know everything about your fear. what caused this aversion to relationships? did you not receive enough attention before? were you hurt by past lovers? he'll bombard you with questions, prying into your personal life in an effort to make sense of you.

✁ he'll push your boundaries little by little. flirtatious comments here and there, a strategically placed hand on your shoulder or waist just to watch you tense up. you start to find the subject of relationships coming up much more in your conversations.

✁ eventually you'll be exposed to small doses of his fear toxin. your arms and legs are bound together ("in case you try to hurt yourself,") while he holds you, whispering in your ear the life he's planned out for the two of you. exposure therapy is the best way to treat phobias, after all.

this could apply to most iterations of scarecrow but I thought of this with nolanverse in mind, he'd definitely drag things out if his darling was hiding, like he knows exactly where they are and just drags it out

it'll be dead silent for minutes, and just when you think he's given up, you'll hear the sound of his footsteps inching towards your hiding spot.

he knows where you are, he found out ages ago. he just wants to see how long it takes until you break

[?] your fear of him doesn't stop him from being spending time with you. if anything, he'll be even more doting, thinking that you just needed to get used to him, that you aren't accustomed to being treated as well as he treats you.

[?] a man can only be so patient though, soon enough your constant crying and aversion will get to him, and he'll lash out. he'll grab you by your shoulders and force you to look him in his eyes, furiously asking why you can't even look at him. he doesn't realize that by punishing you, he's only making you more afraid.

[?] i can definitely see eddie being very physically affectionate, but only if he's the one initiating it. there are moments where after working for hours on a puzzle or contraption he'll just silently fall into your arms, uncaring to your shaking and the audible pounding of your heart

[?] he thinks part of your fear comes with his appearance. by arkham knight, eddie is visibly more disheveled as he loses all desire to take care of himself. mirrors are smashed to pieces, any reflective surfaces are smeared with green paint or dirt. if he's so disgusted with himself, why would you feel any differently?
