something i love about fabiniku is that everyone in it assumes the main couple are, well, a couple. the people who worship them, the people who want to kill them, even the guy who’s obviously gay for one of them. the inevitability of it is delightful.

Fabiniku Fan Fiction

Some random person I’ve never met put out a general request for Fabinku fan fiction, so I thought… Yes.

Let’s do that, and choose the most original title ever for it.

Bad Hair Day

As Jinguji looked in the mirror, what he saw chilled the very core of his soul. 

Instead of one deliberate bit of hair hanging over his forehead, there were two.

With calculated movements worthy of a licensed hair stylist, Jinguji groomed his rebellious hair back into line. As intended, one bit of hair fell forward. He smiled subtly with satisfaction.

Then a second bit fell forward.

Bellowing with fury and challenge usually reserved for dueling elder dragons, the force with which Jinguji attempted to groom himself shook the pocket dimension that housed Tachibana’s apartment. This was a feat even the goddess who created the dimension would have considered impossible.

Tachibana, wide eyed, disheveled, and hastily putting a coat on over their sleepwear, fell in the doorway of the washroom while trying to ask Jinguji what was happening.

One moment, Jinguji was at the mirror. The next, he was at Tachibana’s side, asking if they were okay, and desperately checking for signs of injury. Tachibana insisted they were fine, but demanded to know what was going on.

As quickly as Jinguji had rushed to Tachibana’s side, Jinguji was standing again. With the mirror on one side, and Tachibana on the other, he wasn’t sure where to turn to hide his hideously unkempt bangs.

After a pause, he admitted he was having trouble with his hair this morning.

Tachibana’s rattled brain took a moment to recover from this before noticing what Jinguji was referring to.

Tachibana then said the worst thing they could have said.

“Bunny hair?”

Jinguji froze. Bunny? Bunny hair? Like the ears of that worthless goddess who’d started this whole mess, and took away his oasis? Was this another of her curses?

What followed was Jinguji dragging Tachibana on a bewildering series of misadventures in search for a cure. These misadventures ultimately ended with Jinguji learning how to use alchemy to make fine haircare products.

This would have funded the remainder of their adventures, but the amount of damage they had to pay for as a result of this quest meant they would only just break even.

Eventually.

i can't tell if there's something lost in translation here but it sure reads like this is the face you make when your best friend doesn't want your mutual love curse to befall you both at the same time... completely skipping over any hesitance at the idea of you two banging but is only objecting because you'd be hittin it raw :wheeze:

I tried to make a meme to honor the accomplishment that Fabiniku achieved, but halfway through it my ruined sense of humor forbid my hand from changing the second half of it, so I ended up with this

Ok might be a little controversial but I think the reason I enjoy Fantasy Knockout so much is that despite not being a real-story-told-by-real-trans-people kinda deal I do have to say that
