someone definitely has come up with a similar tag game but as i'm not here often anymore and miss doing this kinda stuff AND this pairing i thought it would be fun so: went through my ao3 and found a line/paragraph/moment that i really like in each fic (mostly sam/cas bc that's most of what i have written)

Sam thinks he never heard Cas laugh, not like this, and it’s a pity, because he laughs like he’d been holding back his whole life.

Sam runs his hands through his hair. Deflects eye contact. "Because, Cas," he shrugs, a strange melancholy seeping through his voice. "I care too much about you to not get attached." Castiel's eyes widen for a moment as he comes to a realization. He swallows, "Would that be such a terrible thing?"

 "We're good friends," he continues, "We understand each other, in a subatomic level. I've held your soul in my hands. I've killed people I've known for thousands of years to protect you, and I'd do it again. You're the first person I ever wanted to hug and today I can't imagine a life where we don't save one another. So, yes, here, now, I want to know how it would be like to kiss you."

Neither of them mention anything, like this is the only place they want to be: here, together, at a tattoo parlor's parking lot, with hard-earned forgiveness trying to blossom in the space between them like it always inevitably does.
