Back to thinking about my gender identity bc yes I am a black woman & I heavily agree with that identity, but am I a woman? What is womanhood when I’ve been masculinized & sexualized & degraded? That is not what the promise of femininity entails. So am I ask again am I a woman? How could I be? I know I am a black woman, but is womanhood for me?
