Hazbin Hotel songs review: Stayed Gone
This song doesn't have a French title, but if it had one it could've been "Regretter d'ĂȘtre rentrĂ©" (lit. Regret coming back).
Pros:
Vox sings "You're not welcome down here anymore" (Say hello to a new status quo), I don't know why they didn't keep "status quo", but I like the translation;
Vox sings "Say goodbye to radio / We prefer video / we want sounds and images in Hell" (While he hid in radio / We pivoted to video / Now his medium is getting bloody rare) there isn't the idea of him being a coward, but I like that he says that people prefer video;
Alastor sings "For a while, you've been demanding / a stylish media / that offers quality" (yes I know it's been a while / since someone with style / treated hell to a broadcast) I like that he says that people asked for him to come back and that he's qualitative unlike Vox;
Alastor sings "Vow gonna regret / Playing" (Your status quo / Will know it's race is run) and I like that he threatens him.
I love Alastor's French va, Maxime Hoareau , he's awesome. I didn't even realize it was him, I didn't even know he could sing! I can't say how happily surprised I was! I love his energy, he was perfect, so it's a pro.
Cons:
In French Vox doesn't call Alastor a coward;
In French Alastor is far more familiar, so it was surprising when I learned that apparently him saying "fuck you" to Lucifer was the 1st he'd swear in English. In this song, he sings (Instead of one of his mediocre whorish little TV shows) (instead of a clout-chasing mediocre video podcast), the word he used in French is dated so it suits him in a way, but hearing him say "whorish" was quite a shock tbh; he also calls Vox a French equivalent of "loser" but far more familiar, so this one was quite a shock too;
We lost the idea of Vox being insecure and thriving only thanks to Valentino and Velvette; but instead, they call each other useless so I guess it cancels out?;
Alastor's French va has a bad tendency to not do the rhymes in [e] and [ə] (ex: tolerate is pronounced / ˈtɒl.ə.ÉčeÉȘÌŻt/ [tbh idk if that really helps]). We can often switch the two pronunciations (usually it depends on the region) so you can make them rhyme as long as you pronounce it correctly, which he tends not to do. Not a huge problem but it ticked me;
We don't have the parallelism "I'm gonna make you wish that I'd stayed gone", instead we have "let me remind you who I am", which is good too but I love figures of style;
Alastor sings "Because my voice / Is your friend" (Tune on in / When I'm done) and I don't think he could really be called a friend lol.
It was really complicated to rate this song because the lyrics changed a lot. As a whole, the song is not great, but not terrible either. The translation is very different, but the ideas stayed more or less the same. I'd say the song is OK if you only speak French, but it's better in English. I give this song a 6/10.

Hazbin Hotel songs review: Hell is forever
The French title of this song is a literal translation: "L'Enfer est Ă©ternel".
Pros:
Charlie sings "You come down to massacre us" (I know you guys fly down just to kill) which is quite violent, I love it; and I like the "us", she includes herself amongst her people.
Adam sings "There's more important / we need to have a good time " (And when all's said and done / there's the question of fun), meaning that he thinks that having fun is more important than helping people, which is exactly like him
Adam sings "We made a great decision" (That we made the determination), I like that he calls his decision "great"
Adam sings "Make an effort" (You're wasting your breath), like she should be the one trying to accommodate his needs for fun, it's really Adam-like
In French Adam calls "winners" "superior divine beings", which is the idea in English, but I like that he clearly calls Angels "superior", because it's more "those people are superior because they are" instead of "they won the life-game"
Most of the lyrics are literal translations or equivalents
Cons:
Adam sings "You're going round in circles" (Save us all precious time) which she isn't so it doesn't make a lot of sense
Adam sings "They can die forever / Until we come to kill them" (They're burnin' for their lives / Until we kill 'em again), which is stupid because WTF do you mean by "dying until we kill them"???
The idea of Black & White isn't said verbatim in French, instead it's "We won't make compromises"; TBH it's not really a con, the idea is the same, I just prefer "Black & White"
Despite Emmanuel Curtil being a great singer, high notes are his weak point
As a whole, the song is great! I love Emmanuel Curtil's singing, and I have this song in both French and English in my playlist. I give this song a 10/10.

Hazbin Hotel French dub review
Took me some time but I finally watched Hazbin Hotel, and it was great! I recommend it. And because I love languages, and specifically translation and adaptation, here’s a review of the French dub.
I want to clarify that I’m talking about the French dub from France, not Quebec. The main difference between the two is that Quebec favours verbatim and France favours melody. In a nutshell: France sounds better but Quebec is more accurate.
Songs
The songs are smoother in English and the lyrics and singers sound better. Gotta say that it’s really complicated to translate songs; and sadly, sometimes some interesting lyrics didn’t get through (for example: we don’t have the two references of Charlie being like a daughter to Alastor in Hell's Greatest Dad, but we do get the “dad” after). But otherwise, I love the French dub and I enjoy listening to it. I even prefer listening to the songs in French because I remember the lyrics more easily.
My favourite song in French is Hell is Forever; Poison could be but it’s very jerky compared to English (it has to do with French having more occlusives consonants [b, p, t, v, k...]. All the songs are impacted but especially this one).
The song Hell's Greatest Dad has better lyrics in French and that's awesome, but More Than Anything has the worst lyrics.
2. Characters voice
I prefer Husk in French, he has more energy. Vaggie too, also I prefer her French voice.
Angie's va has more guts in French and he genuinely made me tear up in that scene with Val, he was just so heartbreaking. Plus, I find Val scarier in French and I think his voice suits him better; he’s more guttural, and compared to Angie's high voice, it’s truly oppressive.
Adam is dubbed by a French dubbing legend (Emmanuel Curtil) so I prefer him SO MUCH MORE in French (this guy is just the best).
Sadly I think Alastor sounded less threatening in French, Sir Penty lost his lisp and accent, and Lucifer is less funny.
Emmy’s voice is sweeter in French and I think it suits her better, but her singing isn’t the best.
Apart from that, everybody's pretty much the same, and it's awesome.
3. Casual Talking
I love the diversity of the insults, they did an amazing job and I look out to be as good as them.
4. Subtitles
I didn’t think I’d do this but I did because It was quite bothersome that the subtitles were nothing like what I’d heard. I know it’s because they’re made by different people with different constraints, and usually I still understand because it’s not far from what I hear. But this time I had to turn them off because I couldn’t focus on the show because my mind had trouble linking what it’d hear and read (and I can watch a show in English with French subtitles with no problem).
It is not really a problem, but because I like to have the subtitles on, it is for me.
5. Angel Dust & Husk
I must make another point about them because their French adaptation was incredible!
I wasn’t much of a fan back at the pilot when people said there was something between them, because I didn’t see it, but after watching s1, damn! Those guys were so deeply in love with each other that was amazing! And when I watched it again in English I realised it was from the French dub!
To be honest, I find Husk somehow flat in English — I think it’s because I first heard him in French, so it was odd — and I have trouble knowing what he’s thinking, but in French, he has so much passion that I couldn’t but fall in love with him too.
Among the things I love the most is, after Loser, Baby, when they’re about to go home, Husk says to Angie “This guy isn’t half bad” but in French, he says “I’m interested in this guy”, which I’m sure refers to him being interested in the “real” Angie more than he “fake” one, but I’m also sure that the double meaning of him fancying Angie was intentional, and damn that’s so cute.
Also : He said “sing for me” instead of “sing that song” + At the end of ep6 instead of calling him “kiddo” (which is a word we use for kids or to insult someone) he calls him “handsome”.
I think they shipped them lmao
As a whole, I honestly wouldn’t say English is better, more that it’s different, though I gotta be honest that the songs sound better. I recommend watching it in French because the voices are sometimes better and the people who worked on it did an amazing job and I have no words to say how thankful I am to them. And it’s coming from someone who prefers the original versions (except for animation, French people are amazingly good at that usually).

New one, finally!
This one was strangely complicated and took quite some time; but it's also my favourite of them so far!

Third circle ready!
I realised that I'll have to make something around 20 circles to complete my BIG masterpiece, so it'll take some time; but it's worth it!

This one is also part of my BIG project but not the part I'm doing now.
I'll reveal what it says only after finishing the other one but until then you can try reading it too!
P.S.: The tags are still clues
Also I realised I'd make mistakes in my 2 other circles so...well...sorry good luck with that, I'll only post the final result in the end.

My attention span being very short I got bored doing my BIG project and did this instead.
It says "Fantastic!"
I also did a sketch of "Brilliant!" but I'll keep on doing my BIG project and wait 'til I get bored to do it.
P.S.: I'm not so sure of this design so I might redo it later

I'm working on a new BIGGER masterpiece.
It's divided into several circles, so each time I'll finish one I'll post it.
I'll only reveal what it says once it's finished; so have fun trying to understand! The tags are clues.
P.S.: It'll be part of an EVEN BIGGER series.

I did this 100 days ago but forgot to post it.
Of course when I learned they both had a sigil I had to combine them to do the ultimate ship name!

It took me a very long time but I finally finished my masterpiece!
I'm a new Doctor Who fan (been watching for 2 months now) and my favourite Doctor is 9! Never got over The Parting of the Ways...
I recently discovered that there was an official Gallifreyan alphabet, so, of course, I had to use it to write my favorite ship: Nine x Jack x Rose.
P.S.: If you're wondering, I wrote "Captain Jack Harkness" because I think "Captain" is a very important part of his name (the Doctor didn't like it when Rose called Jack "Captain").
Also, I noticed that people usually write "Tyler" with the consonant "y", which is, I think, unfit, so I used the vowel "i" instead. AND, I accidentally wrote Ro-SSe instead of Ro-Ze.
Also, the circles in "Doctor" represent the solar system, with the empty circle at the top being the Earth. The empty extra circle in the center represents Gallifrey.
I wondered if I should put them all in one big circle or not. I didn't do it because they didn't/can't stay together forever, they parted ways.

I'm really sad because my picture is blurry and I don't know how to fix it. I also find her face quite masculine and Idk why.
Anyway, I was watching Doctor Who and decided that this girl's name would be Clara (I don't particularly like Clara (my fav is Jack), I just think the name suits her). As you can see she's half Red Fox so I made another word: vulpanthrope (from Latin vulpes, "fox", and Greek áŒ„ÎœÎžÏÏ‰Ï€ÎżÏ‚/anthrĂŽpos, "human being"). It was surprisingly hard to adjust the size of the torso to the fox's body.
For once I think I should've given her clothes because foxes are runners and idk if you ever ran with boobs but it's very uncomfortable. I think she would were a kind of bra or binder when hunting.
Also, I realized I hadn't signed my previous artworks, not that anybody would steal them (I think). I don't usually sign my pieces of art because they're usually just doodles, but sometimes, when I give one to somebody, I do, in case I become famous one day (who knows).

I discovered The Oh Hellos' song 'Hello My Old Heart' and damn it hurts, it's literally Crowley talking about Azirapahle leaving her and her being so heartbroken that she doesn't want to love anymore:
Hello, my old heart How have you been? Are you still there inside my chest? I've been so worried, you've been so still Barely beating at all
He is so heartbroken that he can't even feel his heart beat anymore.
Oh, don't leave me here alone Don't tell me that we've grown For having loved a little while Oh, I don't wanna be alone I wanna find a home And I wanna share it with you
She talks to Aziraphale begging him to neither leave her nor put his departure down to their love, because she doesn't want to be alone and wants to spend the rest of her life with him because he's her 'home'.
Hello, my old heart It's been so long Since I've given you away And every day, I add another stone To the walls I built around you To keep you safe
She explains that she had given her heart away (to Aziraphale) and that when Azirphale left she withdrew from others to not let that happen again.
Oh, don't leave me here alone Don't tell me that we've grown For having loved a little while Oh, I don't wanna be alone I wanna find a home And I wanna share it with you Hello, my old heart How have you been? How is it being locked away? Don't you worry, in there you're safe And it's true, you'll never beat But you'll never break
He is sad and doesn't like being alone but says that it's the only solution to not getting hurt anymore.
Nothing lasts forever Some things aren't meant to be But you'll never find the answers Until you set your old heart free Until you set your old heart free
In the first two sentences, she talks about how Aziraphale and her could never have been. In the last three either she finally decides to go and find Azirapahle, or an exterior person (Nina?) tells her that she shouldn't withdraw from people because she can still find happiness.

I want to know why nobody in the GO fandom talked about this picture of a man begging for his wife's forgiveness inside a divorce court in 1948:
Tumblr media
That's literally Crowley and Azirapahale.
I guess their divorce in S2 wasn't their first.

I love drawing human/animal hybrids (I was part of the Gravity Falls fandom for some time and loved the MonsterAU).
This girl is half Tiger Salamander, but I couldn't find a word for it so I made one: salamanthrope (from Greek ÏƒÎ±Î»Î±ÎŒÎŹÎœÎŽÏÎ±/salamĂĄndra, "salamander", and áŒ„ÎœÎžÏÏ‰Ï€ÎżÏ‚/anthrĂŽpos, "human being").
I usually don't draw clothes because I don't know how to, and I prefer drawing naked bodies.
