Hey, I read the first chapter of On the Nature of Daylight, and realised it's an AU of one of my favourite time travel short stories, the Dandelion Girl. Would you mind mentioning it as inspo somewhere in the fic? I'm hoping more people might read it because it's very lovely, and also it's common courtesy imo.

The girl on the hill made Ben think of his daughters, Ava and Adora.

Uncannily, perhaps it was because of the way she was standing there in the afternoon sun, her chestnut hair dancing in the wind; or it was because of the way her weather-worn gauze wrap was swirling around her like a celestial maiden’s robe. In any event, he got an impression that she had somehow stepped out from the past and into the present; and that was odd because as things turned out, it was not the past she had stepped out of, but the future.

I know I’ve made this point before, but the qualities everyone adores in the other S.kywalkers/S.olos, they hate in Ben.

When H.an puts his foot in his mouth, it’s awkward and charming, when Ben does it, he’s being a manipulative asshole.

Luke is sarcastic or disciplined, but Ben is cold and calculated.

When L.eia gets angry, it is a righteous anger and it’s never unreasonable, when Ben gets angry, he’s a whiny child who has no right to be angry, ever.

V.ader/Ani can feel all of the conflict he wants in spite of being a power hungry dictator by all accounts, but because Ben chose the side he thought would give him answers but still feels this constant and overwhelming pull to the light, he is irredeemable.

He is his family. He is a S.kywalker/Solo. Maybe the problem isn’t Ben, maybe you just don’t like them as much as you thought you did.

I remember I said once that kylo ren is the type of guy to growl during sex in like a rly hot way BUT I’m an idiot and neglected to realize that rey would too bc she’s wild child (and LOWKEY a bit of a dom) and Ben would LOVE it

The force bond keeps connecting kylo ren with a weird girl who keeps inserting herself into his family she has known for one day and keeps nagging him over his poor life choices when they’re none of her business. And one time she stumbles upon him when he’s shirtless it the privacy of his own room and won’t look away to give him his privacy even though he’s half-naked.

Lmao you can spin this either way. Your lukewarm anti kylo takes aren’t even funny anymore

People that exclude Ben Solo from their S/kywalker edits don’t wash their hands after they use the bathroom. Pass it on.

look. i love adam. i love kylo. clyde logan could pound me into the nethervoid. but i also love john. i love finn. please fuck me up. but please stop comparing them both off against one another just because of your shipping wars. please stop using your perception of their level of attractiveness as justification for fandom arguments over reylo and finnrey. please stop pinpointing their looks while criticizing the characters they play. kylo/ben and finn are not real people with feelings and anxiety. john and adam are. thanks.

Rey didn’t join Kylo Ben, thus avoiding a toxic relationship of Twilight/50 Shades of Grey type it would be in his current emotional state

Kylo Ben didn’t follow Rey into resistance, thus avoiding the fate of the Phantom, dragon Tarasque and all other Beasts following their Beauties to pain at mob’s hands resistance would totally give him

Reylo didn’t go for secret marriage, thus avoiding the tragedies of Romeo and Juliet and Anakin and Padme
