hi sooo uh I decided to write some thoughts on Bleach now that I'm almost done with the manga!!!

the thing about rereading Bleach now is that I can look at it with different eyes and appreciate it as a narrative, not just whoa cool fight boom let's go Ichigo fuck em up

also character depth. A lot of it went right over my head when I was watching the anime back then, and I also was a VERY judgemental 12 year old, like, I was an Orihime HATER. what did she do? nothing just annoyed me once with the Kurosaki-kun button

I also missed most of Ichigo's character development because I was too focused on his power and didn't look at him properly. didn't really take in how kind he is (in his own way) and how much he's matured from the beginning to the end of the manga, and just now started to see him as a person, not just the protagonist. idk if this makes sense

this was the case with many others, like Urahara, Kenpachi (and Yachiru), Rangiku, Ichigo's parents, even Aizen, just to name a few

there's a lot more that I missed and can understand now and every time I see Bleach content I'm reminded of why it's my favorite anime/manga of all time, tysm Kubo for everything you've done like WHOA
