Title: Beyond the Mirror’s Edge Author: Vivacissimo Voce Status: Complete Length: 40k Summary: Harry Potter is dead! A spell goes wrong in Advanced Charms class, leaving nothing but a charred ring and a pair of empty shoes. Draco Malfoy must figure out what happened and try to bring Harry back. Pairings: Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter, Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley Content Warnings: Slash & NSFW, animal abuse though they are rescued and cured, hearing voices My Review: This fic is a pretty enjoyable read. It’s not incredibly deep or as dark as a lot of the fics I like to read, but it’s a fun little plot. I enjoy the relationship Harry and Draco develop over this, and I really liked the backstory the author created with Draco turning spy against the Dark Lord. Overall, it’s a fun read.

Title: Harry Potter and the Sentinel Phenomenon  Author: Elyssblair  Status: Complete Length: 75k Summary:  Everything changes the summer after fifth year. Draco refuses to take the Dark Mark and must deal with leaving behind the life, friends and family he's always known.The Dursley's abandon Harry alone in the woods for a week, triggering his Sentinel gifts and leaving him hurting and in need of a Guide. Can two rivals put aside five years worth of antagonism in order to work together to save Hogwarts and each other? Pairings: Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter Content Warnings: Some adult content and themes, Bonding, Over Stimulation My Review: This ‘verse is really something. I really enjoyed the creativity of it. It’s a bonding fic, but bonding in a new way and I really enjoyed that. She brings a new new type of magic into our loved world and I really enjoyed it. The spirit guides were really cool and I really enjoyed Draco’s extra-planetary abilities in this. I’m not usually keen on plots that infer that Sirius isn’t dead or could be brought back, but they way she built this world made that really natural and flow along nicely with the whole piece. I really liked this piece, as well as it’s sequel Harry Potter and the Guide of Hogwarts. I never thought about Neville Longbottom/Charlie Weasley as a pairing but this fic features them in a way I’m definitely down with. Overall great AU she’s built here.

Title: The Shape of the World Author: bixgirl1 Status: Complete Length: 48k Summary: Five years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Draco’s life is finally getting back in order. Until, that is, he sees a familiar face that has been missing since that last awful morning of the war. When has knowing Potter done anything other than complicate his life? Although, for two people such as Potter and Malfoy, how can they fall in love except to put aside their preconceived notions about one another? Pairings: Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter, Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley, reference to past Ginny Weasley/Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley/Neville Longbottom Content Warnings: Slash & NSFW content, memory loss/amnesia, references sex work and BDSM.   My Review: This fic is filled to the brim with sexual tension and a playful back and forth between the characters. I thought it showed great promise in the beginning, and was pretty easily hooked into the plot. A warning though, this fic contains a lot of NSFW content. The NSFW interactions are well very well written and realistic though. I enjoyed seeing the boys get to know one another better, and the progression of how Harry regained his memories was really well done and fun to read. She did a great job in that department. I was a little less enamored by the later parts of the fic, simply because to me it lost the playful tone it had throughout the entire rest of the fic. I also was a little bummed that Blaise was featured so heavily in the first chapter and then isn’t mentioned again throughout the entire fic. I did really enjoy the building up of a friendship Hermione and Draco had, though, and I think that partially made up for the lack of Blaise. Overall, I enjoyed this and would recommend it.
