Twitter algorithm sucks so you guy to hear ALL ABOUT my toxic IsaNess and RyuRin ideas.

First off, IsaNess and RyuRin are literally together because both Ness and Shidou crave for someone close enough to the person they couldn't get (Kaiser and Sae). So they settle for Isagi and Rin. It's toxic and they're still pining and yearning and they really, really shouldn't have found a replacement or stand-in but well, feelings are illogical!

On the other hand, Isagi and Rin are intimately aware of what Ness and Shidou are doing and... let them do it. They let them get away with it because they both wanted, for once, to be chosen. They wanted to bathe in that high that they were the ones that got picked over whatever monstrosity Kaiser and Sae are (do they love Ness and Shidou? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe they're in love with the idea of being loved).

This makes a cesspool of toxicity because Ness and Shidou don't love Isagi and Rin, they just want a replacement, and Isagi and Rin don't even love them back as much because they only crave the warmth of being loved.

Enter Kaiser and Sae back to the picture.

The second they start reaching back out to Ness and Shidou, Isagi and Rin panic. They panic HARD. They panic so much that they're about to lose the one thing that soothed their empty souls and teamed up to get Kaiser and Sae together. Will this hurt Ness and Shidou irrevocably? Yes. Will Isagi and Rin still do it anyway to serve their selfish need to be loved? Yes.

So, they do that in the background and Ness and Shidou's heart breaks part two. Because now, they can't even reach Kaiser and Sae even MORE. But it's PERMANENT and not just a distance or gap thing anymore. They can't have them because they're literally happier together and that hurts.

So, they run back to the waiting arms of Isagi and Rin. And it's toxic and Isagi and Rin exchange a look over the shoulders of Ness and Shidou. But. They got what they wanted.

Kaiser and Sae wouldn't have treated these two as well as Isagi and Rin have.

Double- Don't You Dare!!

Complete, oneshot, 22k words and two chapters

So KaiSae and RinSagi turn for their double date (RyuSae and RinSagi already got theirs here)

It would be ten times funnier if this double date was basically KaiSae's first date vs RinSagi's anniversary date and it was Isagi's idea because he found out that Kaiser asked Sae out and Sae agreed. Isagi found out because of Sae. Then Rin found out because of Isagi.

It's one demented form of telephone because at the end of it all, Kaiser finds out it's a DOUBLE DATE because of RIN (he kicked down his door (read: called his phone multiple times until he picked up) and started ranting about how DARE he think of going near Sae with his bullshit attitude and he should walk into a road of traffic instead of going to the double date).

Kaiser is absolutely floored because he had all these things planned and now it's ruined because of ISAGI. He's devastated. He's enraged. Isagi fucking Yoichi ruined his shit again!! And he's like ten seconds from outright calling Isagi and telling him to fuck off and never be seen in his immediate vicinity again.

Isagi calls him first and its to tell him "If you won't agree to the double date you will FAIL at wooing Sae. I swear" and Kaiser takes that as a challenge. Cause what do you mean he would fail? He could woo Sae definitely (ignore his many past rejections from Sae).

The date starts and Kaiser is glaring at Isagi who is pinching Rin who is glaring at Kaiser. All the while Sae is absolutely oblivious to it and is just content that not only is his brother here, so is his sorta friend Isagi and his maybe possibly could be crush Kaiser. So it's going great for him.

Every single time Sae turns around, it's like that one angel and devil game and it's basically Kaiser flipping Isai off to which Isagi will smile and reach for Kaiser's hair to yank it off his scalp AND Rin also looks ready to murder Kaiser as he reaches over Isagi's head to strangle him.

The date ends up as a mess and Isagi slightly feels bad and he suggest they go to an ice cream thing. While he and Kaiser order (he forcibly and physically has to drag Kaiser along), Isagi tells Kaiser to order Sae's favorite. Kaiser stared at him like how do you even know this??? And Isagi just shrugs and goes "Rin talks more about Sae than himself. I actually learn about Rin by observation or by asking Sae." (Which was how he and Sae even got close in the first place).

So, Kaiser takes the truce begrudgingly and mid enjoying their ice cream, Isagi convinces Rin that they should head out first cause he was tired and when Rin tries to argue, Isagi pulls his sad boy act and Rin MELTS. To the surprise of Kaiser and fondness of Sae. So, they leave but before they do Isagi mouths to Kaiser to "not fuck this up or I swear" and this is when Kaiser realizes that this wasn't a double date.

This was two of Sae's "family" (with quotations cause Isagi is loosely part of it because of him saying Rin and also getting close to Sae + Rin and Sae still not really talking about this issues properly) practically shotgunning him and low-key shovel talking him to make sure their first date was fine.

The date ends great! When Kaiser leaves Sae at the door, Sae snorts and reveals he knew what the other two were up to the entire time but he appreciated that Kaiser powered through it and he also really enjoyed the date nonetheless. Kaiser is flustered and stuttering mess but smooths his way through and Sae gives him a kiss and the end!!!

They went on "dates" that was actually just them both talking about their respective crush and then talking about soccer. They play it up though when in front of Rin and Sae. Isagi lets Shidou kiss him on the cheek and vice versa but that's honestly the furthest they went for aside from hand holding.

The way they find out is like this. Rin finds out when he becomes an unwilling audience to seeing Shidou press the sloppiest kiss on Isagi's cheek while Isagi laughs. Rin was already halfway to screaming at Shidou while shoving him away from Isagi when Isagi literally presses a cute kiss back and his brain FREEZES. He just stands there, staring, unseeing because WHAT. Then, the jealousy hits and Rin is seething. He grabs Isagi and snarls at Shidou and drags Isagi away.

Sae finds out because he and Shidou are facetiming one time and mid call, Isagi pops up with food for Shidou. He grabs the back of Isagi's neck and they pretend to kiss but they're really just smirking at each other but well Sae is on a video call and he only really has one angle. He grips his phone tightly and then immediately books a flight for Japan because what. What is that. What.

There's a sprinkle of denial in the Itoshi brothers because of course there is but when it goes on for too long the jealousy is stronger. It gets to the point that Rin practically grabs Isagi and confronts him in his own room while Sae locks him and Shidou in a hotel together.

When they finally start dating Rin and Sae respectively, they share a high-five cause not only did it work but Rin and Sae were extremely hot while jealous.

Blue Lock Omegaverse AU thought

Scents in Omegaverse are typically attributed by other stuff such as a person's looks or what people would assume they smell like but I bring to you: their scents smelling like the person's favorite food.

Isagi smelling like kintsuba and it makes people's teeth hurt because of the sweetness and depending on his mood he smells either like cherry or matcha

Ness smelling like chocolate cake with a hint of coffee and people are reminded of a cafe and when he gets really worked up it gets bitter

Rin with a hint of green tea, salmon and the sea. The stronger his scent gets, the more it tastes salty but when he's calm it smells like tea

Kaiser smelling like a bakery because his favorite is rusk which is usually a hard bread or cake and when it gets stronger there's a hint of vanilla because that's what overpowers the smell when baking

Isagi smelling like matcha when he goes near Rin and when he gets all pissy he smells like cherry which he gets endlessly teased over. Rin smelling of green tea to compliment Isagi when they're together but he immediately smells like the sea and fish when he's jealous. To make a point.

Kaiser somehow having the sweeter and nicer smell between them both (not that Ness doesn't smell nice either) but when he gets angry it's just a sharp vanilla that is a bit disorienting. For Ness, it's a sharp bitter coffee that makes people's eyes water.

Isagi and Ness smell the best together because they're just two sweets. The scent is very overpowering and could probably give someone a toothache. Rin does, typically smell like tea but when he isn't he's the most different from the rest but the others don't love him any less.

Isagi and Rin are together, Kaiser and Ness are together and between that Ness and Isagi hold hands while Kaiser and Rin look at each other judgingly (Rin tolerates Ness and Isagi hates Kaiser's guts) (They're all together, I swear)

Isagi and Rin fake dating AU where Rin insists that he has to be better than Sae at everything, personal life included. While they're both pretty reclusive and they typically keep to themselves so Rin never really had any competition for that BUT THEN, he noticed after the U20 that Sae started talking to Shidou and it's not just friendly talking either.

So Rin's face twitches at the thought that Sae is gonna get a boyfriend before he does and decides that NO. That is the second to the last fucking thing he wants to lose to Sae to (with football being the last one).

Enter Isagi fucking Yoichi.

On the field, Rin knows that Isagi is wild, abrasive and pretty hostile and aggressive. All things that you can probably compare him to Shidou with. HOWEVER, one major thing is that off the field Isagi is pretty tame, genuine and kind! Even going as far as to be compassionate and compromising. He's like, the model son in law or whatever if Rin's research is right (he just went into a few social media comments of old people gushing over what they want in their in laws).

Rin takes this as a win.

Not only did he score a boyfriend before Sae, his boyfriend would be like infinitely more respectful and have the best first impression with his parents. So, take that, Sae! (He doesn't even know there's a competition, he's just really happy Rin found someone cause he's been pretty lonely without clinging to Sae lately).

Rin obviously approaches Isagi about it pretty bluntly and Isagi is all confused but willing cause Rin was pretty pushy about it and this is probably the first time EVER he's asked for something. At this point, Isagi is just there for the ride and he's pretty chill with it.

They fake date. Rin insists they go on practice dates so they can sort of iron out the details and practice couple stuff (holding hands, hugging, small kisses to the cheeks) and all that. ENTER falling in love but on both sides. Here's the thing! Rin doesn't know SHIT about fake dating so he forgot to add the IMPORTANT CLAUSE (read: we're not allowed to fall in love) cause he's just that dense.

Family dinners comes around, Rin is... Actually nervous about this cause this is the first time he's brought... ANYONE home. Friend or boyfriend or fake boyfriend or whatever! So, he times it that Sae is there and he introduces Isagi as his boyfriend and Isagi is all king and polite and smiles and they're both doing great! And Rin's mom suggests that Isagi should stay over since it got pretty late (to bond they did a few family games and stuff) and once Rin and Isagi are inside the room. And alone.

"It'll be funny." Hiori was already typing by the time Isagi turned to face him, ready to give a hard denial to the idea. Clearly, he couldn't stop him now.

"I think we have too much free time on our hands." Isagi announced and he looked ready to bolt out the door. Ever since Ubers happened and they got ten extra days of practice before going against PXG, Hiori had gotten restless.

Restless enough to start messing around.

"It'll be funny." Hiori repeated with a bright smile that Isagi knew now to be cruel and sadistic and a horrible, terrible sign. He pressed something on his phone and Isagi felt dread.

"Do I want to know?" Isagi once more looked between Hiori and the door. He really wanted to leave but he also wanted to keep practicing with Hiori.

"Nah." Hiori grinned, tossed his phone to the side and moved to stand on the field again, "Let's keep practicing."

Isagi ignored all the warning bells in favor of finally being able to put into test a few of his ideas with Hiori. As he jogged back to the field, he was completely unaware of the utter chaos that PXG went through.

Considering Rin flipped a table over after taking one look at his phone during lunch with Shidou whistling in the background and Nanase fretting over the table and the food. Karasu had long since dropped his phone into his soup as he stared into nothing while Rin seethed in the same spot.

One singular question ran through their minds.

When the HELL did those two get close enough for that kind of relationship in Blue Lock?

Shidou and Isagi being best friends while they're both dating their respective Itoshis would make for a KILLER and hilarious double date/meet the parents.

Double date would have Rin killing Shidou with his glare while Shidou continues to rile him up to the exasperation (Isagi) and fondness (Sae) of the onlookers. When Rin and Shidou start arguing and fighting, Isagi and Sae are just at the corner watching it all happen.

Even funnier if somehow Shidou and Isagi know far too much about the other Itoshi sibling because Rin and Sae enjoy talking about each other to their boyfriends so Shidou and Isagi's text messages to one another are just them exchanging tips and fun facts cause they're each other's best wingman

Even before they start dating the Itoshis, Shidou and Isagi are just. Wingmanning each other. Shidou picking fights with Rin so when he storms off, he gives Isagi a thumbs up which he reciprocates because now he has a chance to talk to Rin alone in the locker room before everyone else starts crowding it. Isagi giving Shidou little tidbits of information about Sae from when Rin would sometimes reference him so Shidou knows what to do and give to Sae to woo him.

When they do decide to confess they hype each other up and when they start dating Shidou and Isagi share a secret high five cause they managed to bag the best baddies around. The Itoshies are blissfully unaware up until their first double date and somehow Isagi and Shidou are FAR TOO coordinated with the date plans and everything.

Then Bachira spills the beans to Rin (BC BachiRin friendship is PEAK) and Rin shakes Isagi like WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE FRIENDS WITH THAT BROTHER STEALING INSECT and Isagi let's himself be shaken and he just goes "we had a shared interest" "what interest" "... We both liked an Itoshi" which leads to the biggest crash out ever cause on one hand he doesn't know to be thankful that Shidou got him and Isagi together and on the other THAT MEANT ISAGI GOT SHIDOU AND S A E TOGETHER

Sae is just a little bit impressed that somehow those two managed to get things rolling and he isn't all that bothered about it.

I've become obsessed with Shidou and Isagi friendship by extension of their respective crush on the Itoshi brothers oh GOD. Listen to me. Shidou talking about Sae to anybody willing to listen (not a lot) and Isagi snaps his neck to listen because he thought Shidou meant Rin. This is the start. This is the tip of the hill and it goes downhill from there.

Isagi thinks Shidou likes Rin up until Shidou actually namedrops who he likes to Isagi (cause duh he's the only one willing to listen) and Isagi heaves the BIGGEST sigh of relief like "I almost wanted to punch you in the face" and Shidou is confused cause why?? And Isagi goes "Because I thought you liked Rin and I like him first."

And it goes even more downhill from there because now. NOW these two have MORE things in common (being a striker, loving football so much, football knowledge, etc) so they strangely hit it off much to the confusion of literally everyone. Because let's be real there was like 0 precedent to these two being friends but they suddenly are and huh?

And now they just talk to each other like a bunch of highschool girls with a crush (mostly right) and complain about their failed attempts.

Fast forward to when they both managed to date their respective Itoshi brother and they both find out that Isagi and Shidou are friends so now the BIG problem when they go on a double date is Shidou teasing Rin, Rin getting irritated by him and Sae and Isagi standing at the side being the non confrontational kings that they are.

I've been indoctrinated into KaiSae by my own two hands. It's such an interesting dynamic.

Like consider it. The New Gen XI striker and midfielder. KaiNess is a ship because of that dynamic (striker and midfielder) the same way KageHina is shipped for a similar ish dynamic (spiker and setter). It's the "we complete each other" dynamic in my eyes.

So. Kaiser and Sae are just the New Gen XI striker and midfielder respectively. Kaiser seems familiar with Lorenzo who happens to also be NG just in the defender position. This means that Kaiser and Sae would also know each other. More so that Sae plays in the European League (Re Al is in Spain so) which means that they would've bumped into each other and became opponents at some point in the football season.

The ship even has LAYERS.

IMAGINE. Itoshi Sae, the pride of the Japan. A football fanatics that originally wanted to be a striker only to fail meeting the VERY person who had his dream title, Kaiser who happens to be what the football world considers as a great striker.

The dynamic would be so great. It's "We complete each other" with a dash of "I wish I was you" to add some bitterness.

I do also ship RyuSae, just putting that out there, but idk the enemies or rivals dynamic always tickled my fancy (COUGHRINSAGICOUGH). I also like the idea of Kaiser pining instead of Sae pining cause Sae wouldnt pine for the man who stole his title but Kaiser would probably be really interested in Sae's "beautiful destruction".

Isagi finding out that Kaiser likes Sae but Sae is emotionally constipated so he's at a loss aside from his multiple attempts at flirting and asking Sae out, all of which were shut down. Added to that is Kaiser's irritation that Shidou was not only chosen but got close contact and kept flirting with Sae during the U20 match.

Isagi learns all of this and he laughs at Kaiser's face.

Kaiser: are you here to say my taste is shit?

Isagi: if I say that I'll be admitting my taste is also shit

Kaiser: haha very funny

Isagi: it's not a joke, I like Rin

And this is where their friendship blossoms (Isagi will laugh harder later because HE managed to get with Rin first before Kaiser ever even moved an inch with Sae (it's canon that Sae is only smart with football I'm abusing this))

Blue Lock Swap AU pt 2 ig?? Heres part 1

So, Kaiser and Isagi are an obvious swap. Same with everyone in Bastard Munchen and the Blue Lockers playing in Bastard as well. Noa and Ego swap so Ego is the number one striker and Noa is the creator of the crazy project aimed to created not the best striker but rather the most logical team. I don’t think I’d completely copy the whole “backwards logic of football” that Japan has a problem with in Blue Lock so had to go with Noa’s “logic” bs that he spouts during the NEL.

Rin and Sae are an obvious swap. Rin as the genius older brother who got an offer into La Real (or ReAl whatever) but the difference here is that since I planned to shove Leonardo Luna into the Munchen Project as Sae’s “striker” that means there’s most likely no one to ruin Rin while he’s at Spain (following the theory that Luna was the one that destroyed and obliterated Sae's dreams). So this means that Rin is the genius striker of La Real and he gets pissy when Sae retracts their dream of being the best strikers and goes to beat midfielder.

Their whole conflict in this AU stems from the same idea but it's different in a sense. First, Sae retracts the dream promise because he tried to get into Blue Lock only to get ultimately shot down not just by Isagi but Yukimiya and Kunigami (Blue Lock works on multiple strikers but Sae feels the pressure from Isagi the most). So, his fragile ego made him think that he matches best as a midfielder after watching Hiori and Kurona play as well. When Sae brings this up to Rin, Rin is similarly hurt by the idea and doesn't communicate to Sae that he really wanted Sae as a striker no matter what kind of dumb level he was on. Sae doesn't understand why Rin is being pretty cold to him and is slightly annoyed with Isagi playing middle man for them .

Additional context! For the funny, Isagi, Rin and Bachira are childhood friends here!! The friendship getting deeper when Ego creates a low budget version of canon Blue Lock except instead of 300 players he just gathers the genius football players both in and out of Japan and puts them against each other in a battle royale thing to enlarge their egos.

Rin low-key blames Isagi for ruining Sae's dream but Isagi points out that if he had held back, Sae's ego wouldn't grow and Rin just calls him an Ego copy which Isagi proceeds to complain about.

Sae, alternatively, does have some respect for Isagi as a player but is also annoyed that he seems to be the one Rin talks to instead of Sae. Like, Rin uses Isagi to pass on messages and Sae gets annoyed cause just talk to me?? He also calls Isagi and Bachira with a "-nii" at the end of their first names since they both were childhood friends of Rin and have seen Sae grow up so they're like honorary older brothers.

Also! Sae saw how Hiori played and how his entire mindset was about "passing to the best player" and "being the key to the number one" and adopts portions of that philosophy. He plays as a midfielder because he thinks he can salvage a part of his and Rin's dreams of playing together. Instead of being two strikers though, he plans on being the best midfielder to give Rin the greatest passes to make him the best. Rin, obviously, doesn't understand this and is incredibly stubborn about Sae being a striker and that's how it is!!! They still don't communicate even if Isagi and Bachira try to annoy them into doing so.

More so since Sae picks FC Barcha during NEL so he's with Bachira. Isagi does update Rin with texts, alongside Bachira, but NEL is pretty busy so yeah. Rin also plays in the U20 team against the Munchen Project!

AllSagi is so funny to me because 1) it has SOME grounds in canon, 2) Sae literally calls Isagi the heart of blue lock, and 3) every single fic I’ve come across touches on it as if the author snorted the deepest bowels of crack and characterizes the characters so LEFT from canon that I end up loving them instead of hating them

I normally dont tolerate harem ships mostly because the characterizations annoy me but something about AllSagi is just so. Crack. Unserious. Batshit insane. That my tolerance levels just disappear.

Also lowkey because I’m a multishipper and the idea of all my ships coexisting is so funny considering I need VERY specific scenarios to play out for it to even make sense so…

IN CONNECTION, KaiSagi is a ship that I will consume grudgingly BUT I refuse to write seriously. Idk (i actually do and it’s because I love Ness so much) why I hate Kaiser so much (not seriously) but I do and it makes me unable to create proper KaiSagi content without making it unrequited or have it end with RinSagi and Kaiser sitting there regretting everything.

Soulmates

Typically, when people find the other end of the red string that tied together soulmates, they would be overjoyed. They finally found their other half. They would finally feel whole again.

It was different for Isagi Yoichi and Itoshi Rin.

When they found each other at the end of their string, it happened to be in the midst of a match that forced their egos against each other. After which, Rin didn't even CHOOSE Isagi and picked someone else. Someone that Isagi had much preferred and hoped was his soulmate, much to his disappointment.

The next time they were forced to face the reality that they were each other's "other half" was after the match against the World Five. It was also after this same match that Isagi started to enter Rin's life unconsciously.

He would look for Rin, every single time. He would watch out for the younger teen, always attentive and observant.

"You don't exactly believe in this, do you?" Rin scoffed, tugging lightly at the translucent red string that connected them both. It was fortunate that the string would never be visible to everyone else. It was their own little secret.

"I didn't really give it much thought before." Isagi shrugged and it was true. He had always been a sports, specifically football, nut. He wasn't like his previous classmates who used to wonder and imagine what it would be like.

"Now?" Rin poked and prodded. Even he hadn't ever given the whole soulmate idea much thought. It was rare to find your other half. The fact that he did find him, Isagi, in such an unconventional manner (Blue Lock) was already a story not even the greatest writers could come up with.

"Does it have to change anything?" Isagi asked instead because he didn't actually know how this would change anything. At all. "We both want to be the best striker."

"You'll help me." Rin spoke, matter of fact.

Isagi's eye twitched, "No, you will help me."

Something between them sparked. It wasn't love or attraction or anything romantic in that sense. What sparked was the same kind of rivalry that initially appeared when they challenged each other in the second selection.

"Don't get in my way." Rin's chest tightened at his own harsh tone. Even as he turned away from Isagi, there was some underlying feeling that simmered just below the surface. Frustration, annoyance. Perhaps this was what rejection felt like?

"I will devour you." Isagi promised Rin's back, eyes ablaze with interest and determination. It was a promise, a prayer, a proposal.

Isagi Yoichi and Itoshi Rin were a pair of oddballs, even amongst those present in Blue Lock. Perhaps that was why they were soulmates. Perhaps that was what made them each other's halves.

Destined to be lovers and yet chose to be rivals.

What a beautiful romance.
