In Blanksword, there's an enemy that shifts between a four-legged "dog" form to a two-legged "weredog"(?) - our lead artist @kitet-frogspond is currently working on an animation for when it transitions between the two states! How do you think it looks so far? :]

BLANKSWORD's world is pretty dark at times, but even under the heel of an all-powerful tyrant, you might be able to make friends :]

This scene right here is supposed to be a really intense and heart-gripping moment in our game's story. And... for the most part, it is!

Except when the main character has, um. Other plans. Like going on a long, uncontrollable moonwalk in the middle of the scene's climax.

I have a small, but significant quality-of-life addition to Blanksword to show you today! Now, when BLANK walks up to NPCs and talks with them, he takes a step back and chats at a proper distance instead of hogging their personal space like a goblin :]

I'm taking the opportunity to show you how the NPCs and environments are coming along... I think they're neat...

New Blanksword Status Icons from @kitet-frogspond just dropped gamers

In typical RPG fashion, Blanksword offers a lot of optional reading for players that want to get immersed in His Country's lore. The Angel of the Mind has some commentary to provide on every single skill & attack in the game!

As for who they are and what they're doing in BLANK's menu, that's another story...

Blanksword's turn-based battles just received a very significant visual upgrade: positive and negative status effects are now displayed on two clearly separate rows!

Now, we just need to add a soft background to the icons so they don't clash with the enemy behind them, and we'll be golden :]

We just added inventory stock to our RPG - now, our merchants can run out of items! Might not seem like a huge deal, but it plays a big role in incentivizing players to manage their wallet and item usage strategically :]

Also, Wizard Cap has a new portrait! Do you like it?

Blanksword's Library (one of the things we put together over the last weeks of development) is now fully playable, complete with its own song, interactables and events!

Blanksword has a lot of mechanics and a lot of complexity to it, so we've been working for a while on how to best tutorialize players. Here's a work-in-progress page from our Tutorial Book, which will illustrate the game's controls, systems and interactions for players!

We're currently putting together a very light (and fairly permissive) stamina system for Blanksword. The lung icon is a little big here, and we made it smaller and better-positioned since this recording. Show us your lungs in the tags if you like what you see ;)

Our RPG has a lot of references to bugs - there's a certain category of skills you can unlock that enhance your attacks with special properties, and they all make a different bug hover around you!
