Okay so this is a big part of why Kubo’s Q&A shouldn’t be taken seriously. Why does Kubo say their issues are “implied” to be resolved??? You are the one who knows the answer. What’s the point of a Q&A if you don’t do the “A” part?
Also the interviews just straight up are not canon. If it’s not in the media, it’s not canon. You can make an argument for and against the novels and the anime since they are media even if they aren’t the main media, but the same cannot be said for Kubo’s interviews.

why does this sound like ryuken himself gave this response 💀
#adding this set of images because I think they help get the point across#also sorry op for kinda hijacking your post#and yeah it does kinda sound like Ryuken made the response#bleach#uryu ishida#ryuken ishida

So According to this Q&A Session with Tite Kubo, the original Plan was for Orihime's powers to take a draconic sort of form, but this was abandoned for... reasons.
...Truly, we were robbed.

I got a notification you replied but I don’t see it anymore 😭
Anyway the Ulquiorra with silver stars is available via the coin exchange
And there’s an additional Ulquiorra from the Frenzy Character Summons Ticket
Let's say, hypothetically, I had a psychologist... and I showed them this:
The psychologist turns to me and asks me who my favourite character in Bleach is.
With a straight face, I say "Bazz-B"
The psychologist thinks I am a fucking liar.
I am not, unfortunately Bazz only has two playable versions.
And I only own 1 of them. (I am livid about this btw. also out of jugram, bazz, and uryu, I GOT BAZZ TWO YEARS AFTER THEIR RELEASE. WTF)
The only ones I have never pulled btw:
FOUR!! His number is the exact amount of ulquiorras I do not have

SPOILERS FOR THE END OF BLEACH MANGA
Thinking about pro boxer Chad and hospital director Uryu.
...
Chad, who swore to prove and define himself beyond his fists.
Uryu, who swore to pursue his own dreams and not end up like his father.
#this is why their endings were just genuinely bad#so Chad went into a career that is the complete opposite of his most fundamental values???#and Uryu went into the one (1) career that he explicitly said he didn’t want???#hello???#anti bleach ending#bleach#uryu ishida#chad yasutora

Ichigo: You don't have to go out of your way to be petty. Uryu: I've never once gone out of my way to be petty. It's directly on my route. Uryu: In fact, sometimes, it's the destination.

Important Bleach TYBW question for all fans:
For TYBW, is the anime canon or is the manga?
This is not about the contents, it’s not about which you like best, it’s about which version is the “correct” one.
Anime only moments included things like the OG captains, the Reio lore, new fights, Uryu’s abilities, whatever’s going on with the changes to Katagiri, etc. And there’s parts of the manga that were cut out of the anime like Robert Accutrone’s death, that scene with Orihime’s outfit, and smaller character moments.
I’ve seen lots of people say that the anime is more canon because it’s what TYBW should have been, but is that the general consensus? Does that overwrite the manga?
Only one can be canon. You can’t pick and choose parts from each, you have to pick one to be the definitive version of the story.
Edit: This is a chance to talk about Bleach and what you think about it, this is NOT an excuse to shit on other fans, regardless of whether you have different opinions.
#only three days left on this#still haven’t gotten an answer on what the difference is between PJO and TYBW#bleach#polls

Ichigo: You just think you're so cool, don't you? Shinji: I actually think I'm pretty mediocre, but I've decided to carry myself like I'm cool.

Drew this for a Winter Exchange event on a discord a few months ago.
In other news, I'm back home from the UK. I haven't checked my social media in weeks and I instantly got buried under all the notifications. Also in other news, I still have a ton of work to do for like the next three weeks.

To anyone saying that the anime is canon, l'd like to ask a follow up question: Do you consider the Percy Jackson TV show to be more canon than the books?
The author Rick Riordan was heavily involved. He's said that some of the changes are things he would have done if he'd written them today. He now considers the TV version when writing new books. Does that make the TV show canon?

#I don't usually express my own opinions on polls I'm running but this is an interesting comparison#because they are similar situations#but no one says that the PJO tv show is canon while a lot of people say TYBW anime is#so why is that? what’s the difference?#bleach

I know you’ve already got an answer, but there’s been like 3 different explanations for how they got their powers
First is the whole “being around the hogyoku” thing that you were talking about earlier, where the hogyoku did something to their souls to give them powers.
Second is the typical “you mom was attacked by a hollow while she was pregnant with you” that comes with being a Fullbringer
Third is the one from the novels which says it has to do with the Soul King. I’ll won’t put the specifics in this post since I know you haven’t read the novels yet, but it’s not at all related to the plot so if you want to know just let me know.
So yeah, their powers’ origins have had like 3 different explanations, and the fandom doesn’t always agree on which it is since some people don’t consider the novels canon and at least one person has debated with me with the claim that they aren’t Fullbringers either. So idk, it’s fair game to pick whichever origin you want.
why are fans saying that chad’s and orihime’s powers originated from the soul king? I thought they obtained it through the hogyoku, did I miss something?

Your periodic reminder that Uryu Ishida:
1) ended the series in the one job that he explicitly said he didn’t want, and
2) couldn’t even be with his friends, who are a core motivation for him and were the big theme of his final confrontation of the series
They had everything set up for him to go into fashion. From when he first appeared, sewing was one of his main characteristics. It was the perfect end for him.
And his growth when it comes to his friends has been a large part of his character growth, from hating them (or at least trying his hardest to hate them) to loving them enough to defy his own people. He deserves a happy life with his friends.
Just a reminder that his ending was NOT satisfying and he was ROBBED of his proper ending.
