If u are in the market for that angst tho, @nofuckingfighting who is sadly inactive now has a piece called Aftermath which is exactly that concept and *chefs kiss *, it’s what got me thinking about it in the first place!

So random and I know it’s unlikely it will ever be updated so not coming here to ask, but just wanted to let you know I (re)discovered we exist to fall apart after reading it when you first released it and it remains a totally compulsive and gorgeously three dimensional series. Writing to be proud of <3 just thought I’d let you know I had a v enjoyable few days getting thru it! Thanks for ever making it :)

Soooo random but it’s been on my mind and I’d love your opinion: when Tommy sent his family to prison (yikes), do you think he’d have sent a spouse/partner too if he’d had one? Or do you think they’d be in on the plan? Or just spared prison?

god honestly.. so much would effect this cause obviously in the show he pars lizzie off with some money as if she's nothing to him & has lost grace so that shapes a lot of his actions.. if lizzie was married to him, or someone else...with grace being lost the way she was, i can't imagine he would've put them in the situation of being taken away to prison

actually even if grace hadn't died, he certainly wouldn't have had her arrested. so i think the same can be said for any partner?

honestly there's a few ways you could take it. i can definitely see him excluding the partner from the plan though, leading to a similar uproar as the family have when they find out what's going on. that being said would loooooove to see a grieving tommy so misplaced in his behaviours that he does send a partner to prison with them. the aftermath of that would be soooo delicious as an angst enjoyerrr

Ahh yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 💚 I'm trying to get as many people as possible to watch it, but it isn't being as promoted as other series like Daredevil. Maybe some people are waiting for the season 2 to come out. Your idea of writing a Peaky Blinders & A Thousand Blows crossover was wonderful. I think there isn't any ATB fics on AO3 yet.

omg anon (and anyone else whos watched it) ive just finished a thousand blows and that season finale was sooooo good i am so so captivated by mary and hez and both actors were so bloody unreal throughout but that final scene..fackkkk its time for me to go crazy! also the preview for next season looks so good ! i need it now?

That conversation is one of my favourites! The subtext there is amazing💚 What do you think she did that? I think it was a mixture of selfishness and genuine care. There's also a brief conversation in ep 3 that is beautiful🥹 Oh I think I watched that movie several years ago and enjoyed it a lot☺️

no definitely the conversation he had with mary in ep 2 hinted there was gonna be more to his storyline.. very exciting. i need to watch more!!

i watched masters of the air recently which i really enjoyed, i've also been slowly working through ted lasso but honestly i'm in a bit of a tv limbo. i've been really in the mood for films instead! i rewatched the kevin costner robin hood yesterday and enjoyed it way more than i expected to hahah
