Getting The Conversation Going.
I find that one of my biggest internal struggles is having the knowledge of all of the current political, social, and economical issues but feeling like I can’t be part of the change or that I can only put my energy into so many of these issues in order to make a real difference. To say I could tackle every one on my own would be asinine but to try and choose which ones I think deserve the most attention would be extremely difficult. There are some issues that resonate with me on a personal level which is why I may lean towards putting my effort in those issues but I have to acknowledge, as a white female who faces a mostly “normal” or “privileged” life, that there are much more pressing issues in this world. So how do I choose between solving those issues that directly affect me and those that are much more needing of my attention? I think it is to the advantage of my generation that we have the internet in our pockets and we can use this as a catalyst to spark conversation and make change in the world. In having open discussions we can bring light to the issues that we face as a society even if those issues don’t apply to us personally. Whether or not we walk away from the conversation and continue to make a difference is up to us but the first step is to open up a dialog and become truly invested and educated on what is going on. That is why I’m using this platform to open conversations about all issues by sharing facts along with personal opinions and through these conversations there will be more awareness of the work we need to do to make the world a better place. I do not want to sway you or press my views on any issue to you if you choose to participate in my blog, I want you to simply open your mind to the ideas of others. I encourage you to share your thoughts or opinions whether they be in agreement or not to comment below each post and share those feelings to get the conversation going. o’s

Hi!
My name is Sierra and I’m 21 years old. I created this blog to put my thoughts into words to share with the internet. I want to create conversations around some of the controversial topics of today’s world but also incorporate some topics that are not so serious. The idea is to put my opinions out there for people to read and respond so please leave a comment with your feelings on the topics after reading each post. Topic discussion recommendations are also welcome!
