I remember in 3rd Grade, during recess we were pretending to be kings and queens and shit, and I told a boy that I didn't want to be a queen, I wanted to be a king. He said girls couldn't be kings, so I pushed him off the slide and said to the other kids playing with us "I HAVE DETHRONED HIM, KNEEL BEFORE YOUR NEW KING!" And they fuckin did and started throwing leaves around me like rose petals 😂😂😂😂😂

Some important tips on making/writing Asian OCs
Try to stay away from the smart/nerdy Asian stereotype. Plenty of Asian people are very smart, just like in any other race. However, stereotypical racial representation is worse than none at all. By all means, you can have an intelligent Asian character but make sure their intelligence is not the main factor of their personality.
Write more than just East and light-skinned Asians. In most cases, if an author wants to have some Asian representation they’ll throw in a Chinese or Japanese character. And while yes, there aren’t very many Chinese and Japanese characters as opposed to white, there are even less Southeast, South, and Middle Eastern Asian representation. Not all Asians have light skin, even in East Asia. There are plenty of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese people with dark skin!
Do your research when naming Asian characters. Unless you want to end up like J.K. Rowling who’s sole Asian character was named Cho Chang. Do not just throw a last name with an ‘ong’ or an ‘ang’ at the end.
Represent plus size Asians. Asian women are stereotyped as petite, and just like white plus size women, plus size Asian women need representation in media.
Asian people don’t eat everything with chopsticks. I didn’t think that needed to be said, but here we are.
Create Asian characters with an alternative fashion sense/style. Asians with dyed hair. Asians with piercings. Asians with tattoos.
Stay away from the strict parent Asian stereotype. In fact, stay away from every stereotype, okay?
Keep in mind, stereotypes for other races aren’t the same for Asian people.
By all means, write about Asian culture. BUT MAKE SURE IT IS ACCURATE!!!
Write Asian characters who get in trouble and/or are reckless. Asians that swear. Asians that break rules. Asians that get detention.
WRITE ATHLETIC ASIANS!!!
Do not, under any circumstance, use the word ‘chinky’ to describe an Asian character. Just. Don’t.
Asian people face racism too.
Don’t fetishize or demonize Asian culture.
Asian people, feel free to add some more on! If you’re white or non-Asian POC do not comment if you reblog! (Unless it’s to say something like, oh nice tips! Or thank you, I didn’t know that!)
If you can, reblog. I haven’t seen any for Asian OCs.

Every time a post on queerplatonic relationships makes its way around tumblr, the comments are inevitably filled with a flood of “IT’S CALLED FRIENDSHIP” or “WHY DO YOU NEED A WORD FOR THIS.”
Do you honestly think society regards friendship as an acceptable substitute for romance and marriage? The thing is, most aros would LOVE if it could just be called friendship.
Because that would mean a world where:
Friendships are considered equal to or sometimes *SHOCK HORROR* more important than romantic relationships. This is not an exceptional occurrence.
Romantic partners know that they might not be their datemate’s Most Important Person and are not bothered by this.
People commonly plan major life events around their friends up to and including housing, finances, employment, ect.
It is common for people to be in their 30s, 40s, 50s, hell even old age having lived with friends that entire time and no one has ever asked them why they’re not married.
It is common for people to have a committed lifelong partnership with their friend and no one bats an eye.
Having a life friend is considered something that can be regarded as equally close to marriage. It is also taken just as seriously.
Until the day that those are true, friendship is unfortunately not an accurate word to convey the types of relationships we’re talking about.

If you actually want to argue with me, please provide links and context for some of your claims, otherwise it’s hard to understand some of your views. I understand it’s not necessary to do it for every case if it’s obvious such as Naruto being discriminated by the village, but if the onus of proof is on you and a user Is asking you to show and explain it, it’d be much appreciated if you could do so. To give some examples: Who is Setsuna Uchiha? Were they even mentioned in the manga or in the databook or in another valid additional source? If so, where exactly? Why did they try to take over the village? Does Setsuna really mean oppressive? Where does it say so?
From my initial search, setsuna only seems to mean “instant, moment, or juncture”. Here, a link to demonstrate the meaning:
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E5%88%B9%E9%82%A3
Then, did the Uchiha clan went against Madara or did they not? Did they support Hashirama as the leader of Konoha or did they not? Did the Uchiha clan want peace or did they not? Did the Uchiha clan forbid the use and teaching of Izanagi or did they not? Did the Uchiha clan punish those who abused Izanagi with Izanami and get them back to the good path or did they not? Did Tobirama unfairly generalise the Uchiha clan or did he not, considering not everyone from the Uchiha clan is able to activate the sharingan (only the elite being able do so) and considering the fact they sealed off the love to avoid/reduce the chance of any possible negative side effects?
Tobirama is being irrational and not right here. The Uchiha clan posed no threat to the village at this time, therefore he has no reason to put them under surveillance and mistrust them. The fact that the Uchiha clan in general did not let their difficult past with the Senju clan prevent them from supporting Hashirama despite the death tolls on both sides and the fact that this did not compel them to become “vengeful hateful terrorists” when they had the chance to be so during the negotiation with Hashirama actually disprove the unreliability of every Uchiha person and the mistrust against said whole group. They were willing to change!
By the way, you actually haven’t bothered to meet the challenge of an argument and address most of the questions/points from this paragraph that I’ve already made in my last reply.
Next. I assume you wanted to say “internal conflict was the [insert: least] thing he wanted”. Yet, even if Tobirama became hokage in the middle of war, it did not stop Tobirama from continuously provoking the Uchiha clan as Hashirama points out, and the accusation was not once rejected. Tobirama also did not refute Orochimaru’s accusations of having caused troubles with his political measures and of having cornered the Uchiha clan, managing to chase them away to the outskirts of the village. That’s not an example of generous behaviour towards the Uchiha clan.
Also, your claim indirectly assumes every human acts rationally when that is not always the case as human beings sometimes let their emotions influence their actions.
Whether valid or not, your accusations against Madara are irrelevant to the fact that you can’t generalise a whole group and mistrust them when the Uchiha clan itself went against him, supported Hashirama, sealed off the love, and were willing to change for the betterment of the village despite the death tolls on their side and the Senju’s side. Blaming Madara is also like blaming Konoha for Sasuke going crazy during the kage summit.
Moreover, the point was not to make Madara seem better or justify the choice when he stopped Hashirama from killing himself. It was, and I apologize if it was poorly worded/implicated in my last reply, to explain that, if Madara only always had bad intentions, he could have get rid of Hashirama during the Uchiha-Senju negotiation in order to do what he always wanted.
The science of racism was not intended to implicate the Uchiha clan is a race—I apologize for not being clear enough; rather, it was to discuss the science of racism that affects a social group. Therefore, in the context of societal racism, it is valid seeing how Tobirama constantly mistreated the Uchiha clan as already explained in detail in the third paragraph of this reply, and mistrusted them on the basis of genetics. No other clan received the same treatment from Tobirama as far as I am aware of, and not every Uchiha person gets mad like Shisui. It also doesn’t help Tobirama when not many people from the Uchiha clan acquire the Sharingan and when even fewer people activate the mangekyo sharingan. What Tobirama does is judging the whole Uchiha clan by a condition that only affects a few selected people, even going so far as to call a whole group a clan possessed by evil. What about those who do not have the sharingan? It’s Tobirama jumping to conclusion and generalisation. Therefore, his experiences and/or experiments are flawed/biased.
As Orochimaru already mentioned, Tobirama did manage to chase the Uchiha clan to the outskirts of the village and was not once met with a refusal. Furthermore, you can’t chase it (it being the police headquarter which was only said to be in the same place as the prison). I’d also like to point out that forcing the Uchiha clan to relocate is a bad thing as it goes against their will. You did not explain why “it’s not a bad thing”, therefore it is an empty claim.
How does controlling crime and enforcing laws upon people allow the Uchiha clan to influence politics, which actually means making and changing laws or successfully defending themselves against the forced relocation, when they are removed from the governmental body? Why is the Uchiha clan considered the Senju’s plaything? Why did the Senju clan came to control everything if the Uchiha had that much power? Why demonstrating the Uchiha’s awareness of what Tobirama’s really were and coming together as a unit to defend themselves? What did Madara see in Tobirama that his fellow clans men didn’t at first? Please, answer these questions.
Here, I assume you wanted to say “How is giving Uchiha exclusive control [insert: not] a sign of trust?”. I’ve already explained why he did not trust the Uchiha clan and why he was irrational and wrong (in the first paragraph of this reply). Also, you don’t put people under surveillance expecting another Madara to appear if you trust them. You also don’t say you never know what they’re going to do if you trust them.
The whole “Everything was Madara’s fault”, even the future Uchiha massacre, is irrelevant to the discussion as the goal of this debate is whether or not Tobirama was right in how he dealt with the Uchiha clan.
Do you think Tobirama was right in how he dealt with the Uchihas? He did give them a position of power, which is good, but then he also ostracized and seoerated them from society
BeforeI begin to criticize his actions I will first talk about hismotivations that could explain his prejudices towards the Uchihaclan.
Hewas born into a world where the Senju and the Uchiha clan wereenemies, and he lost a part of his family due to xem. So it isunderstandable that he became careful and paranoid to some degree.Madara is the best example, for his power were beyond his own one andno one, except for Hashirama, can beat and bow him into submission. Thus, he poses an enormous risk to Tobirama, and this combined withthe sharingan among the Uchiha clan makes them an uncertain variabletoo difficult to control, and a strong force to watched out for. Soas a scientist—because as the founder of “edo tensei” he prettymuch deserves the title—, Tobirama has to observe and evaluate thesituation and come up with a solution for the problem. He tries to berational and objective which we can see when he praised Shisui’sfather or explained that it is not the power per se that makes themdangerous but more over their love that has the potential to turnthem into impulsive “monsters” unable to control the amount ofsheer power.
Thisunpredictability and unbalance likely lead him to the decision totake measures. Though, in his paranoia, he becomes very biased andextreme as he discriminated the Uchiha clan. He chased them away tothe outskirts of the village and gave them a position where theywouldn’t be allowed to gain political presence in the village. Moreover, the police headquarters sounded like a consolation price. All these factors only motivated rebellious elements in the clan, soin conclusion, Tobirama was right to be careful and think ofthe security of the village but wrong in how he dealt the problem. Human are not always rational, and they are not the same. Tobirama’s fault lies in the fact he generalized the clan and wanted to minimize the risk. He approached the problem from a scientific/rational view rather than including emotional elements.

I hope you don’t mind if I choose to respond in this way as it gives me the chance to write a long text if I need to.
Now, on your reply. In this post, I didn’t claim Tobirama hated the Uchiha clan, just that he was biased and extreme in how he dealt with the Uchiha clan. So, I’m not sure where you came to this conclusion.
Next, you actually have to provide the source and/or mention which databook you’re referring to so that I can look it up for myself and understand your point of view better. Furthermore, what is it that you want to argue when you say “And there were many hateful Uchiha like Madara who causes troubles for the village as stated in the data books”? That you can’t trust the Uchiha clan? But that would be generalising, and it makes you wonder who’s responsible for that outcome and when the Uchiha clan caused trouble. So, what we have to consider is context, and I’d very much appreciate it if you could provide context and explain in detail your arguments.
The way I see it for the moment, Tobirama doesn’t have any good justifications to mistrust and mistreat the Uchiha clan in general. First of all, the Uchiha clan went against Madara and supported Hashirama as their leader of Konoha.

Secondly, they wanted peace.
https://w11.mangafreak.net/Read1_Naruto_399?__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=6f9f661376fa6ab8f09fc3905e35ce49006c2a7e-1597510989-0-AVjapr0PLMonWn2ZkEmN_4Cut-pPRWLNelYBiIQk_nR2dhbmyuQ9DertfJDcsnmM0LNZ31ycdNkQMUd6-SsCU0IVitns8-ifA1ghiIMrqt_nUJJYx37dd4s0wKHNaD6d2hOHY_GdaijG-Dpg9uP9EKNmF2hLJYxw3U27et2w7VNAu68KuEci-WNAUkG8EDa9hyxNFk_emV3uEHyV6okMQOHxfsVaYNFkSpDk-fiDYiAeR29kcgMRLQsUB7pe8uB5xakGAbitsKXdhCAy8eDV_gy8iKnyGZRcF2a7mjhnyBgK
Thirdly, Madara stopped Hashirama from killing himself when he saw he truly only wanted the best for both clans.
https://w11.mangafreak.net/Read1_Naruto_625
Yet, because Tobirama didn’t trust the Uchiha clan, his actions against them birthed the Madara followers - actions such as chasing them away to the outskirts of the village or putting them under surveilance as he was just waiting for another Madara to appear and strike him down. So, it seems that it was only from that time on that these followers started to organize.
Then, Tobirama claims the Uchiha clan is possessed by evil and used the science of racism to justify and defend his actions, which was based on a rumour and ignored the fact that only few elite people could actually acquire the sharingan according to Sasuke. And of these people, not everyone went crazy/evil. Shisui, for instance, was willing to use the sharingan to the benefit of the village.
Finally, I have a hard time to believe he wanted to work with them. Why would he generalise a whole group and call them a clan possessed by evil? Why would he claim you never know what they’re going to do? Why would he mark the few people like Shisui’s father as exceptions? Why would he force them to relocate? Why was he waiting for another Madara to appear so he could strike him down?
It’s because he never trusted them even though the Uchiha clan went against Madara and supported Hashirama. Tobirama knew exactly what he did when he offered the role of the police force to the Uchiha clan. On the outside, it was an act of good will, but why would Kishimoto show through Obito and Orochimaru that some people from the Uchiha clan realised Tobirama’s true intention and make them aware of their inadequate situation? Why call the Uchihas the Senju’s playthings? What political power did the Uchiha clan have when they were removed from the governmental body? Why putting them under surveillance? Why corner them? Why provoke them? Why make them easily disliked by the people if they’re put into the role of the police force? Why would Madara warn the Uchiha clan and get them to leave before Tobirama becomes hokage?
https://w11.mangafreak.net/Read1_Naruto_399?__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=6f9f661376fa6ab8f09fc3905e35ce49006c2a7e-1597510989-0-AVjapr0PLMonWn2ZkEmN_4Cut-pPRWLNelYBiIQk_nR2dhbmyuQ9DertfJDcsnmM0LNZ31ycdNkQMUd6-SsCU0IVitns8-ifA1ghiIMrqt_nUJJYx37dd4s0wKHNaD6d2hOHY_GdaijG-Dpg9uP9EKNmF2hLJYxw3U27et2w7VNAu68KuEci-WNAUkG8EDa9hyxNFk_emV3uEHyV6okMQOHxfsVaYNFkSpDk-fiDYiAeR29kcgMRLQsUB7pe8uB5xakGAbitsKXdhCAy8eDV_gy8iKnyGZRcF2a7mjhnyBgK

If Tobirama really wanted to work with the Uchiha clan, and by that I mean if he really had good intentions for them, why going so far and make several people point out his bias and flawed actions without any contradiction from Tobirama’s side?
It doesn’t make sense in my eyes.
Do you think Tobirama was right in how he dealt with the Uchihas? He did give them a position of power, which is good, but then he also ostracized and seoerated them from society

Propaganda doesn't mean "incorrect information". Propaganda means information disseminated w the intent to shape ones worldview.
More often than not - especially with capitalist propaganda - that is more easily done by telling some truths & leaving out half of the story to make its targets seem irrational or uniquely evil, than it is by making up straight-up lies.

It’s so fucking infuriatingly frustrating that so many of ao3′s userbase is so adamant that ao3 is nonprofit even though it’s owned by a corporation so that shit is a fucking lie in of itself, like. They invest in stocks and constantly people try and push this stupid as fuck idea that there’s no ads!! :)) it’s free!! when it’s been in beta for literal fucking years with one of the worst filtration and blocking systems I’ve seen to date and rampant disgusting nsfw that’s unregulated and crops up to previews for themes anyways so why do we constantly have to have mile long posts defending such a fundamentally bad website from it’s core instead of actually thinking critically for once I fucking hate all of you.

Daenerys Meta Masterpost Part 1b - ASOIAF
This is a continuation of my Daenerys Meta Masterpost Part 1.
I’ve compiled more than 2000 metas about Daenerys, both about the books and the show, and I intend to constantly update this post with more metas. The metas listed here will be linked to their reblogs in my blog, (since many people tend to change their usernames, and I don’t want the links to stop working in this case). Of the metas linked here, the ones that I wrote are in bold text. It’s also important to note that the metas here reflect my own opinions about the characters, I don’t claim to be listing every meta that was ever written about Daenerys.
Tumblr has a limit of 250 links that can be put in a single post. Once you reach that limit, your links will no longer appear. Which is why I am making this continuation of my previous Masterpost, because Part 1 is very close to reaching this limit of links, since I constantly update it with new metas as I reblog them in this blog.
The topics of this part will be the same as part 1: metas about Dany’s parallels with the other main characters (Arya, Bran, Jon, Sansa and Tyrion) and the speculation about Dany’s future relationships with them.
Please check both part 1 and part 1b if you’re looking for meta about any of these topics.
This is a list about the books, but there might be a few metas that mix books and show if I think they bring up interesting points about the books.
