I made this several months ago, but I was waiting for the person I commissioned to color it to finish—but that won’t be for a while, so here’s the black-and-white version. A story WITHIN the Star Fox universe—there’s more to the universe than Andross, Star Fox, Star Wolf, etc.

So here’s Wolf accepting a sketchy job.

Took a bit of inspiration from 1950’s comics.

I’ll post the colored version when it’s done.

That feeling when you’re off work and wanna keep drawing so you decide to draw Munezane firing off a combustive arrow

The only custom brush used was the bamboo trees. I am SO SO SO PROUD of the explosion.

Oh what? I’m doing Sengoku BASARA stuff again?

I wanted to make more retainers (and frankly more male characters because while I do love drawing the ladies I wanted to get some practice in. I made a basic design in Picrew and was like “oh hey I’ll make a full character out of this.”)

Shiroishi Munezane was a retainer of Date Masamune. Here I depict him as slightly younger than Kojuro. A weary, snarky archer who wields a Daikyu (a Japanese longbow) and enjoys frequently smoking a Kiseru pipe. Also he can breathe fire. Usually through the pipe.

His combat style involves combustive arrows, rapid-fire and AoE attacks, allowing him to specialize in flushing out enemies and forcing tight groups to scatter. In close-quarters, he has a tantou he can pull out, and can also use his daikyu as a blunt weapon. If you’ve ever played Guild Wars 2, try the longbow skills on the Warrior and Ranger classes. It’s like that, but faster-paced because it’s Basara.

Back to Pokemon Precure stuff again!

Vivienne is a dance student at a prestigious art school in Kalos, studying ballet with dreams of being in Kalos’ most prominent ballet company. A big dreamer with a love of the fantastical, sometimes she has trouble with romanticizing everything around her.

Autumn LaFontaine is a student at the same Kalos art academy as Vivienne. Quiet, insecure and overcoming some very tough life events, Autumn copes through her drawings and paintings. But it’s through meeting Cure Joyeux and becoming a precure that she begins to heal and learns that the end of one chapter can mean the beginning of another.

GROUDON CURE YAAAAY

Chizuru is a hotheaded, energetic teenager who has a bit of trouble putting her energy to productive use. Her desire to be seen as a tough bad girl is constantly undermined by her happy-go-lucky, scatterbrained Spinda, but she wouldn’t trade her for the world.

Fun fact: The kanji for her last name, Hiyama (火山) can be read as Kazan, meaning “Volcano.” Both a reference to Groudon and a reference to her short temper.

Cure Shimmer!

Gemma Hartstone moved to Paldea from Unova with her companion Mawile. An artist with a fascination for pastel colors and things that sparkle and catch the light. A chance encounter with a Monster-of-the-Week (known as Dark Teraborgs in Paldea) causes her to receive a Cure Pact from Terapagos!

Want another Pocket Monsters Precure design I haven’t touched in seven years? This is Sedona, AKA Cure Lyric, a fifteen-year-old mentor to Cure Victory and Cure Cavalier. As you can probably guess, she was chosen by Meloetta!

Gisela’s an old Castlevania OC I’ve never drawn before. She’s a runaway noble from Belgium who became a blacksmith and artificer, who formed an odd friendship (and sometimes more, depending on the fanon) with Alucard.

ANOTHER BELMONT OC!?

Caroline Belmont

(Most active: 1900-1910s)

A descendant of Trevor Belmont’s eldest son. Though the Belmont clan was without the legendary whip, it didn’t mean that they weren’t fighting against the night. Caroline often traveled by train, killing vampires who boarded evening journeys while crossing Europe. Caroline married an eccentric inventor named Alexander Rockwell (though he took the Belmont name upon marriage), who crafted her beloved red parasol, which contained a retractable pointed tip concealed in the top. Caroline often kept a number of vampire-hunting tools hidden on her person, including a small pistol and silver hat pins hidden in her hair.

Catherine is done! Castlevania OC.

At around age four, Callidora was spirited away by the fae and swapped with a changeling. Hector and Julia figured it out quickly, but were unable to find their daughter. The scared little girl escaped the fae, but couldn’t find her way home. She was then found by Mother Gia, an eccentric nun who ran an orphanage (and also had plenty of experience fighting creatures of the night) and was raised at the Dominion Abbey as Catherine. (It’s not really a religious group, but that’s a long story that I’ll explain when I get to drawing the Castlevania version of Gia.)

At the age of eleven, she makes a deal with a fae named Arl to help hone her alchemical and magical talents and find her parents, in exchange for her soul after death, and her voice.

She does eventually reunite with her parents at fourteen years old. Here she is at seventeen.

The second half of Zen Precure is done! Cure Ideal is the “suplex first, ask questions later” of the pair.

Sooooo I haven’t been on DeviantART since like 2019. I basically moved exclusively to tumblr. But one of my friends lurks on dA still, and apparently, there is a dude on there mainly in the Pokemon fandom who is a complete train wreck to watch. We’re talking zero self-reflection, complete entitlement, hiding behind his disability instead of trying to better himself, demanding people respect his boundaries when he doesn’t respect anyone else’s.

I’m not gonna name him because I don’t wanna doxx him and I don’t want to risk him finding my stuff and getting fixated on my own OCs, but he’s a mess. If you know who I’m talking about, you’re already thinking “Oh, god.”

He hates when you use certain words (I’m not gonna say which words, but they’re fairly common ones), and demands you use other words instead. He claims it’s an injustice when people call him out on his behavior, no matter how polite they are. If you block him, he sends his alts to bother you.

But most recently, what really got me mad was he commissioned art of himself hugging someone’s OC, that he was obsessed with for A DECADE.

He did not get the OC creator’s permission, and when they called him out, he doubled down and basically said “my wants override your boundaries because you don’t understand how badly I want this.”

So folks…

If someone says you can’t use their OC for something, YOU CAN’T USE THEIR OC. END OF STORY. I DON’T CARE HOW BADLY YOU WANT IT.

Also he’s selling said art. Art he didn’t create, and all that.

Having a disability is not an excuse, when countless other people with the same disability can be polite and take no for an answer. He doesn’t want therapy—he wants yes men. People who agree with him. He wants people to “understand” his problems, when he makes no effort to understand anyone else’s. Why should the effort be given if it’s not returned?
