Change of Plans/Post Delay:

I realized on Monday that I needed to do a flashback to show the change in Dean regarding his sexuality (and also him being explicitly autistic). I've been working on it off and on all week but there's a lot to cover and I gotta get the phrasing just right so I will have to publish it tomorrow. Edit: by Mardi Gras. I'd rather have it be late and good then on time and... not.

My intention was to be able to tell you how many chapters before he shows up by now but you know, medication fuckery got in the way. We should get there by april. In the meantime, this is the last chapter before a big time skip.

One of these days I will learn to accurately gauge the effect my mental health has on productivity. But as it is I am still recovering from abruptly going off my meds, I can't concentrate and so have to put off the update until Thursday. And at some point reschedule both appointments I missed today for the same reason.

Full disclosure I had to quit my ADHD meds cold turkey because of the pill shortage and therefore won't be able to update tonight. I have my pills now so I should be able to update over the weekend but there's no way in hell I can manage it right now. It's been a hard week.

Also, while my ADHD meds are still at a very low dose, my meds plus Turkish Coffee is enough to stop me from zoning out instead of typing. So, enjoy this chapter in the meantime, and I'll try and post updates on my progress writing.

New Update Coming by Thursday!

I know TVtropes says promising updates without updating is a sure sign a fic is dead, but this is different. I've finally got the ability to revise, and I revised the next chapter.

The delay is because I would like to read it over at least one more time, and do some other stuff as well. But either tomorrow or Thursday I will be updating, and if I'm reading things right my diagnosis limbo should be fixed by Friday so that'll help me be more productive.

Thanksgiving Break Update:

After extensive experimentation, I have determined that while I can slowly work on new content, during normal days revision is just something I can't do. Now, I'm going to try to get out an update this week. The people who don't follow my tumblr deserve to know what's happening too. And I should be getting medication starting in December so I should be able to work much more consistently and efficiently from that point forward.
