Grief is a domino effect.
I just realized that the tragedies the Kennedy boys suffered affected their next brother.
Joe’s death changed the course of Jack’s life
Jack’s death shattered Bobby and left him sorta aimless
Bobby’s death resulted in Ted, the youngest to be the family leader, with some saying it resulted in Chappaquiddick (I’m not excusing him)
Obviously their siblings’ deaths broke everyone and they were all bereaved but it’s interesting how the boys changed the life of the next one in line
i think about this a lot. living in a time where the ‘male heir’ was so important, and there was such hope for the success of the kennedy men, only for them to dwindle in terrible tragedy is a thought i’ve mulled over time and time again!
