Im so sorry to ask this but when is ghost in the shell updating again? I just finished my third re-read of part one and what is posted of part two and I’m just staring longingly at the chapters thingy on ao3 waiting for it to show an update

No idea! I've been working on it but it's been slow going due to personal stuff happening. Once it does start updating, it should be uploaded once a week until the end of the series. I write all the chapters in big chunks, then post them. It helps me keep the story straight and drop in foreshadowing and other such hints and symbolism!

I'm currently around the drone races, but a lot of episodes are going to be skipped from season 2. I'm debating even doing the drone races, to be honest... There's a lot of episodes I could do short stories of later, but for now, I might just focus on the main stuff...

I have been reading your stuff for a while now and I have to ask, do you have any plans for the fusion fiction? Absolutely no pressure if you are focusing on something else, but I loved reading that story when I was younger and would love to see how other characters may be included or tech mishaps that could happen.

I do have plans for Fusions, I've just been focusing on other things! The last year especially has been kind of crazy for me, so I've been writing stuff that's easy (writing with my friend, Li). Writing with someone is just a lot easier than writing alone!

I'm always willing to answer questions about Fusions or the characters. Of course some stuff is spoilers but I'll talk about them all day long if I could hfgkdjghdk

Idk if you answered this before but what would have happened if All four turtles from 2003 got stuck in the Rise universe together and end up help raising the rise kids. (Man Rise Turtles how come the universe gave you 7 parents?!?)

Sure, they’re all together but do they feel worried about April, Casey and Splinter?

Also middle-aged codependent paranoid turtles for the win!

Oooh or what if at some point they get separated, like while looking for a way home, Mikey and Dawn gets trapped in the Battle Nexus. (Mikey went with Dawn because he’s the battle nexus champion! And Don probably is going to need back up just in case.)

And Leo and Raph get captured by Bishop (when they were trying to follow some leads on the surface, they didn’t realize it was a trap—)

The pairs eventually breakout and reunite.

And when they do, they stop trying to get home for awhile and try to recover instead, at least for a little while. It’s lonely, but at least they have eachother.

They learn to adjust to this new world.

Mikey probably binges all of the Lou Jitsu movies and drags Don to watch it with him. (Do you think that Dawn/Donny would have immense guilt for accidentally stranding them all here. It’s his fault—he has to fix it— none of them can recall their father’s face as time passes, they worry about not being able to recall April’s or Casey’s either. Leo also worries about the threats left in their absence, had they taken over? Gained power without the turtles there to stop them?)

When their “roommates” in the sewers come in, a large humanoid looking rat and four turtles coming in behind, the four watch from afar.

I might have answered this before? But regardless, tis lost to the annals of time and probably poor tagging.

I feel that the boys are already pretty dependent on each other, not necessarily in a bad way. I like the idea of all four of them falling in and trying to get home, but these little kids and a very rumpled version of their father shows up and catches their hearts.

They would worry so much about April and Casey and Splinter and everybody they know and love. I think after a certain amount of time they would start focusing on making their lives there better. Don still pressures himself to try and get them home, but he's got three brothers to bounce ideas off of and help him from crashing out and losing hope like Ghost does.

They'd be so much more open about the Hidden City, too. Probably they do end up at the Nexus, looking for it, but I doubt they would stay long like Ghost did. Not only did Ghost sign a contract and the boys wouldn't when they're all together like this, these four have a habit of breaking out of high security prisons/coliseum games!

They would make an enemy of Big Mama real quick.

It wouldn't scare them out of the city like it did Ghost, though. Mikey and Raph probably enjoy it the most, they tend to be the most social.

They could take care of the babies and Splinter. Wouldn't mind at all.

So I came across these posts and I can’t remember where, but I remember reading somewhere at some point that the next rise big bad would have been the Rat King. (WHICH RIP RAT KING IS ONE OF MY FAVE VILLAINS) Then, I came across these posts which propose the theory that Rat Jitsu from the Goyles, Goyles, Goyles episode could have been the Rat King! (Also it would have been such a fun twist, CURSE YOU NICKALODEEN EXECUTIVES!)

Which led me to thinking about Ghost angst.

Because Ghost thinks that his dad’s equivalent in the universe is dead, when in reality…he might have to face his dad’s universal equivalent to protect his kids.

The idea that, he might regain his father again, or realizes that the Rise version of his dad is well alive and here! Only to be crash down with, oh no his dad’s the rat king, and between this evil version of his dad and his kids, he’ll choose his kids time and time again.

Idk there’s just a lot of angst potential!

And maybe if you want to go down the Silver-Michelangelo route (rip), maybe Ghost is forced to put down the rat king. And in the end buries him, because at least he got to bury his dad, even if it was twisted version of him.

Or maybe he snaps out of it, and comes to the realization again that people in rise are not like ones from his world, something he knows but it was hard getting hope and seeing a familiar face again.

Oh man what if, I mean they’ve got 2012 characters to do cameos before. But what if this hypothetical Rat King had 2003 Splinter’s voice too?

I know you probably have a lot on ur plate, but I just want to share this with you because Ghost has invaded my brain

Ouuuugh I've thought about this. Originally I was going to try and add on extra episodes to season 2, like the ones that had been missing, but I feel like GitS is stretching on a little long at this point. I might do short stories eventually.

Ghost does have a moment in the fic where he thinks about that pet rat! Because Splinter tells him about it, and Ghost sort of realizes that this world's version of his dad was dead before Ghost even knew there was an alternate version of his family here.

Thank you for sharing! I've been unfortunately busy lately, it's made writing GitS a little difficult, but I love talking about it!

Unfortunately the logistics of getting three people together to write 25 different characters meeting in person and fighting a bad guy while keeping it contained to Discord format was difficult fgkdjgh

I can tell you that Ghost's brothers were going to be saved and that's about all I can say.

Hi there! I love all your stories I was wondering if there's any progress on the Mystic Forest AU or the fusions stories? I'm not trying to rush anything just curious hope all is well!

Mystic Forest AU is still going, just very very slowly. I've been exploring other regions of TMNT while my co-writer Ibby is mainly doing original stuff, so we've both been distracted!

Fusions, I have a half-written chapter that I need to finish, but I honestly got stuck on how I want to do the farmhouse arc. I'm planning on rewatching 2012 at some point to encourage myself.

Everything is pretty much on hold as GitS is the main thing I'm working on at the moment, plus anything I'm doing with my friend Li!

If Rise had ever gotten to make the cut episode "Toddler Mutant Ninja Turtles" what would you have written for it in GitS? Would Ghost be de-aged as well or would he still be an adult and help Mikey wrangle the turtle tots?

Ooohhh that's such a good question... Both are INCREDIBLY tempting, but I think I'd go with toddler-ifying Ghost. I think that would be a lot more fun to explore, especially if the show already explored Mikey being the biggest brother.

Y E S oh my god, I watch it like once a month and sob. I love it so much. It inspired me to work on an animatic of my own for GitS, HOWEVER. My old video editing software no longer works, apparently, so I have no idea what to use lmao

Hi! Me again, so how does the fusion tech work? Do the components that make up a fusion always have to be an equal number? Or could there be a 3-way fusion? Like eldest brother's fusion of Leo + Raph + Don makes idk, "Tiziano" (Another renaissance artist)

Fusion tech currently has to have an even amount of components to work. It's like a balancing act! On top of that, the more components added, the more unstable the fusion. They're easier to fall apart and have a hard time staying together.

However! The kraang are working on making fusion tech better, because they have a hard time staying fused with humans at all. Because of their hive mind, fusing with each other is not as big of a deal, and they're very stable.

For the fusion AU, how would each of the fusions react to seeing their components separate from them? As like a hypothetical scenario, if the Krang had invented a method to separate the fusion from their components- lets say using Pheo -how would Raph, Leo and Pheo react to seeing each other without needing to be fused. Would they be scared? calm? happy?

The fusions think of their component parts as their brothers, basically! They would all be very happy to see each other.

Raph and Donnie obviously have a complicated relationship with Daphy. Daphy is desperate to be accepted and loved, but he's got that violent streak that makes Raph and Donnie scared of him, and what Daphy being the way he is says about them as people. So their meeting would be.... awkward, if not painful.

Everyone else's would be pretty much the same! The fusions would be happy to meet their counterparts. Lots of talking and questions and hugging.

I think the fusions especially would be thrilled because it means they can exist outside of the short amount of time their components are together. They can be people! Not just coming out when they have a purpose.
