Evidence of gay in the past 🔎🧐

This further portrays how ridiculous it is that people think that somehow people weren't gay then. Whether they were punished for it here ? I'm not quite sure, though I heard that it was actually quite normal here. People act like being gay isn't real and that everyone is and has to be straight. As mentioned, we often forget about "chrono sonder", the fact that yes people then lived their own lives too. We are too stuck in the past 200-300 years of history we forget that people of the ancient past lived, thought, and experienced too, experiences like being gay.

Gossip girl opinions -

Gossip girl was so addictive yet had so many plot holes, the writers lost the plot so much yet it was still so good that it was all mostly overlooked. People say the first season carried the whole series, in my opinion, the cast carried it. Even though Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass are literally some of the coldest characters, they pulled me in so much. In my eyes Chuck Bass is not redeemable at all but it was impressive how they managed to make most people drawn to his character development, yet completely done with Jenny when she was one of the actually decent characters. Blair Waldorf was the epitome of being a mean girl but I still felt so drawn to her character, and I felt like Dan brought some of her best out, though the characters are literally insufferable so none of that matters as much. Idk why I stan Blair so much considering how mean and manipulative she was as a character. It's honestly a love-hate relationship with the characters. Serena was actually not bad at all but Blake Lively (the actress) is known to be problematic. Chuck Bass though not redeemable literally had the best character development, though in my opinion completely overrated, he still was shitty in nature even at the very end, he is the epitome of wealthy but completely wrapped up in the darkness of that lifestyle. Blair Waldorf being so toxic but captivating, probably has a lot to do with Leighton Meester being the actress, and an actually very unproblematic one at that. Dan, was meh, and just developed for the worst. Though he is the reason I watched it to begin with considering Penn Badgely was the actor and I had just finished "You" in its entirety, not ready to move on from my attachment to the show lol. They did Vanessa dirty in my opinion. Nate while being decent, didn't bring much to the plot. Jenny is over-hated but it's probably because she wasn't well liked on set (bc she's literally Taylor Momson from the pretty reckless and was often late), so I get the vibe that they wrote her character in such a way that made her deliberately unlikable, which then gave her an exit from the show for her to pursue her band. Rufus and Lily should've stayed together but Lily never took him as seriously, and he practically became contaminated by her world. Bart Bass is just a complete villain with no heart whatsoever (if you know you know). I think the best character is Dorota, she is that hidden gem on the show, that is completely overlooked as the maid side character, that still literally played such a fundamental role in this series to the end. She had so many wholesome moments, she was by no means just a so-called "peasant" in the upper Eastside world, she was literally a pivotal maternal figure to Blair Waldorf, and Blair literally treated her like dog shit, and I just felt so bad watching it too. I was like "omg Blair chill", Dorota is too good to be spoken to like that. Anyways I loved the series but I'm also conflicted with all the plot holes, and just how toxic the characters were.

And yes I did buy the book series immediately after lol, only books 1-11 though, I can't wait to compare them side by side, but I have another book series to tend to 😤😤 so that'll just have to waitttt just like all the other books I'm dying to read

Update // it was brief chemistry but as the series progressed Vanessa literally just disappears as if she wasn't practically apart of Dan's family at that point, all because she was accused of doing a gossip girl blast that she didn't even do. Shipping anyone together on that show is honestly not even because it's just too gossipy lmao. Honestly Dan and Blair were actually quite cute but Blair degraded him so much bc he's not in their economic class, and low-key Dan's character development was just not the best. I think the only character that is somewhat okay is Nate because at least he remained a decent person from the beginning.
