#one piece#paulie#iceburg#(cells at work opening plays)#this belongs in a monthly sketch log honestly but its only week 1 of the month and i quite like it so here u go ...#fun instance where the characters just kind of posed themselves and i found sfuff to read into! like:#*stuff ...#this would take place a few years before the mugis arrive in w7— slightly more casual look on iceburg#& still kinda rookie-ish paulie: one arm behind back respectfully while listening but not enough sense to point his cigar away from his boss#id also like to point out: coffee stains on an 'urgent' client folder

#one piece#nami#that's incense and mandarin flowers on a big shell in the first drawing in case its not very clear!#(i'm alive!! life got busy again!!#i havent drawn nami nearly enough but i rlly do love her . thank u 4 all u endure .....#tmi: my laptop only has 1 usb port (sadistic) so until now i could only use my drawing tablet OR my mouse OR a hotkey pad#today i finally got a multi usb port (?) and i can use them all at once .... its insane actually .... so much better 4 my wrists#im sure itll boost my productivity- next drawing will be in 2 rather than 4 months .....#oH ALSO the font used here is called 'chiffchaff' and i believe it was inspired by old newspaper fonts ... isnt it so pretty!!

#robin#HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE.................#a TINY bit late but pls forgive me#egghead spoilers#isn't it so romantic that she learned about ohara's survival on the island of the future .............#one piece#some added commentary: the little white bits can be seen as bubbles of air escaping the books#to symbolize that the lives poured into them continue to breathe on#and also the ashes of ohara thrown into the sea#so the water around robin holds death life knowledge and flowers#(callback in a way to the 'scattered in the sea are the world's grief / the world's secrets' line from my last robi drawinf)#ah and also her tears! which contain those multitudes as well#good things lay in wait 4 ohara :#'-)))

What brush do you use?
thank you so much!! i'm happy you're enjoying it haha, there's nothing as cool as your first viewing of one piece (hope u liked w7!)
it gets a little long so i'll put brush info under the cut!
here's what i generally use these days! these all work for photoshop cc 2020, which is the only program i use. i also renamed most of these a long time ago so i apologize for the ones i've forgotten the source for- hopefully the brush stroke will give you an idea of what to choose if you're trying for a similar look! i highly recommend this blog for brush resources (for many different art programs)!
main sources: kyle webster charcoal pack & megapack (requires adobe subscription- these are kind of the 'default' brushes for photoshop), Matt's Painting Set for Photoshop CC (pay what you wish)
