i did notice too that most of it seems to come from the same account, but all of the post had at least a couple notes, so i was still concerned this would become something people could normalize.

a concept to keep in mind (especially for white people): whenever you’re coming up with dynamics for your ships that do not reflect the way these people act in real life, please make sure you don’t repeat harmful poc stereotypes. in this case, the latines in the fandom don’t deserve this and neither does jewels or any other latina queen, thanks 🩷.

jewels won that lipsync and she looked beautiful doing it, but i’m wholeheartedly glad she won’t have to deal with the fandom’s hatred just like nymphia has had to this entire year. watching drag race isn’t really fun anymore, because we just know that if the one queen the internet says is the only one deserving of the crown doesn’t win, everyone will attack the winner for merely existing.

sam star rooting for suzie in the lalaparuza because she feels guilty for having eliminated her. sam insisting that suzie won the lipsync even when the other girls were unsure. sam who loves competition, who wrote the “SEND THEM HOME TOGETHER” signs, who came into drag race thinking she wouldn’t care about anyone else and learned not only to respect other people’s craft (lydia and suzie especially) but to relax and make friends, and now she is so into the friendships she made that she feels a liiitle bit of guilt for having achieved her dream and simultaneously crushing someone else’s. i love her :(
