Photograph what is at hand
My most frequent subjects are grandchildren -- grandsons particilarly, my younger one  ( a two year old) specifically. The obvious reason is that he comes around often and is still in that stage where he is fascinated with everything. Do you still get excited about the moon, or rubber bands? And, he laughs a lot. It is exciting because he is unpredictable. For off-your-toes photography try getting on the floor with a wide angle lens and shoot wide open. You will get wow type images. This works with children too (your's or somebody else's) Try it and post your best shot.
