Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas
Bound by blood.
Tempted by desire.
Unleashed by destiny.
This book was an amazing read! I am a huge fan of Sarah J Maas… I have read everything she has written and loved them all. I cannot wait for next one!
So I have to admit I struggled getting into this book by chapter 4 I was deciding whether to stop reading it but I persevered and carried on reading. Best decision ever because by chapter 6 everything had been turned upside down and I just had to keep reading and find out what happened! But with Humans, Fae, Angels, Wolves, Mers and many more… how could I possible turn my back.
So what I liked about the book…
I loved Bryce… she is hard core in every aspect and I have so much respect for that. I laughed with her and definitely cried with her, I cannot wait to see where the story leads to but I have to say this book gave me whiplash and most of it was from trying to keep up with this queen 👑
Friendship… now I did a thing and didn’t read the synopsis before starting. WHAT WAS I THINKING. So if you have read the synopsis you know that Bryce’s closest friends are murdered in the dead of the night. Well my stupid backside didn’t see this coming and the rug was pulled from under me. As the story continued on the strength of Bryce and Danika friendship shone through and when Bryce needed her most Danika was still there.
BRYCE MOTHER!!! Well I just love her, and her daughter is definitely a chip of the old block. She attacks first, asks questions later and takes no prisoners. It reminds me of mine and my mums relationship and I just that SJM introduced such a strong and respectful character that holds a dear relationship with her daughter over long distance.
Finally… Hunt! I just love him as I love all the Maas men. He is strong and ruthless yet Bryce manages to worm her way under his skin and vice versa. As the story goes on and their relationship grows, and after many arguments, laughter, betrayal and forgiveness. I cannot wait to see how Hunt and Bryce’s relationship develops as the story continues ❤️
I have to admit I still have a hangover from this book, the story is swirling around my mind leaving me dizzy. I have so many unanswered questions that need answering but it’s funny, frustrating and spicy content will have to pacify me for now! But I do need the next book like yesterday.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
What happens when America’s First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well, I absolutely adored this book. I loved it from start to finish and once I finished it, I read it again. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good romance that grows from pure hatred in the beginning.
Alex Claremont-Diaz, the Mexican-American first son of the United States, tolerates Henry, the Prince of Wales, to about the same level that Henry tolerates him, but this hatred soon develops into something else as the story begins to unravel. This feud leads to an altercation that makes U.S./British relations worse. In the wisdom of the Heads of family and State a plan is devised to stage a truce to this feud. It begins as a fake, obligated friendship that soon grows into a deeper and more dangerous relationship that neither Alex or Henry were prepared for…
What I loved about this book…
Henry’s sister, Bea, she has her own struggles but sees Henry clearly and love him for who he is, no questions asked. She respects her little brother and supports him during a time where he has some difficult decisions to make.
The trio, Alex, June and Nora, this little trio are just amazing. I love seeing Alex and June’s relationship as brother and sister but also I like how Nora bounces off them both but is never scared to speak her mind. June is a one of many strong and powerful female characters in this book and I just love that!
How McQuiston portrays, the struggles and heavy decisions that these people in the limelight face. You fall in love with the characters and their stories, you laugh with them and cry along with them. It’s a truly amazing book.
“That’s the choice. I love him, with all that, because of all that. On purpose. I love him on purpose”
