A Crooked Revalation
At the end of Crooked Kingdom Pecka Rolands says that he is the king of the Barrel. When a king has an affair and that affair produces a child, that child is a mistake, a bastard. What if Pecka’s “affair” or mistake was meddling with Jordy and potentially killing him. That would make Kaz the product of that mistake. Hence the name Kaz Brekker, the bastard of the barrel.
