You see it's quite simple: if they call the earth Gaia, it's fantasy. If they call it Terra, that's sci-fi

Song of Achilles By Madeline Miller
Rating: 5/5
Review:
I loved everything about ‘The Song of Achilles’. I have read this book six or seven times at this point, and I got my own copy to annotate (something I rarely ever do).
The writing of Achilles and Patroclus is just something else, something beyond what I thought possible to write. The whole book reads as if you're actually there watching everything unfold.
The blooming romance between Achilles and Patroclus is handled in a mature, cutesy, and appropriate manner that I found tasteful even as a younger reader in my early teens. I love every single one of their interactions, how wrapped up they seem in everything they do together.
The whole story is so captivating that I completely forgot that I was reading a new take on the Iliad. I was blindsided by the ending I knew was coming because I was so caught up in the beauty and enchantment the writing wove around me.
Amazing book, especially for a first read of queer literature. Will, have, and would recommend.
