Charles runs a sort of sanctuary for mutants that provides lost, abandoned, abused, runaway mutants with shelter, comfort, and help with ability control. He thinks he can rehabilitate Erik and save him from execution, and convinces the government that he can.

When Erik arrives, he is a lot worse than Charles thought he would be ... Everyone else can see that Erik is a nuclear bomb waiting to go off, but Charles refuses to give up on him. ...

The first time Charles sneaks up on him wearing no metal, it triggers him and he reacts instinctively, with violence. ... Indeed! It seems we’re only a very small group. *cries* Oh well, that’s okay. :)

I have a few thoughts about it, but I’m afraid they’re a bit silly…

1. Sometimes when Erik raises his hips to meet Charles’ thrusts, he lifts the bed a few meters off the ground. Heh, metal.

2. Gunplay. Need I say more?

3. When Erik is the little spoon, Charles always puts a hand on his heart and kisses Erik’s nape until he falls asleep.

4. Erik is INCREDIBLY flexible, and that worried Charles at first.

“Are amazing I know. Come on, we don’t have all day.”

5. I’m not sure this actually counts because it’s an AU, but I’ve recently rewatched the Maleficent trailer and now I have this nice little scene stuck in my head: Charles, a dark fairy with black horns, pale skin, red lips and missing wings, holding Erik’s wrists above his head as he slowly but mercilessly splits him apart, cursing him with the power of magnetism, green mist licking Erik’s trembling body. Oh dear.
