Highlights of Songs From The Wild is officially RELEASED!

If you tuned into our AMAZING premiere livestream (shh, there were no regional phenomena nor connection issues), you'll have heard all twelve of our wonderful songs. If not, GO WATCH THE STREAM HERE! It was SO much fun.

Alternatively... click here to download the album for completely free! Put it on your phone, put it on your MP3 player from 2008, burn it on a CD and play it in your car (and risk crashing from crying so hard).

The full Highlights soundtrack is now available on YouTube here! Comments and feedback are invaluable, as they'll help to shape the way that SFTW evolves from here.

As a more general update, the first round of revisions will hopefully begin next month, while music work will resume over the summer. We're looking forward to sharing more of SFTW later in 2024.

Do you think this will be available on Spotify anytime soon? I love it so much!

For copyright reasons, we currently have no plans to release our Highlights album on Spotify. That being said, you can download the entire thing for free over on this page. Then it's yours, forever, without the hassle of streaming it!

If you like to play your songs through the Spotify UI for convenience, there is a way to add your local files to Spotify. Consult this page for further information.

GORGEOUS! We're so honored to have our first piece of fanart, and who better to celebrate than @wanderingnightingale?

To the lovely @wanderingnightingale:

Due to a busy schedule and other personal commitments, I couldn't watch the Songs from the Wild premiere until last night. But- I finally got around to it, and I was floored. Everyone involved did SUCH an amazing job, but especially our leading lady: WanderingNightingale, who played Zelda flawlessly.

Even though we don't talk often, I have been so incredibly honored by the fact that I can call you a friend (even though we've never met in person). Ever since I discovered the BotW Musical, I have been so in awe of your talent, and I am so happy to say that you as a person are as lovely as your voice.

I painted this while I listened to the premiere. I don't know if you celebrate Christmas, so I'm not sure whether or not to call this a Christmas present per se- but either way, it is a gift of friendship from me to you. I hope you like it!

"Highlights of Songs From The Wild" - Premiere Announcement

It's been a hundred years in the making, but Highlights of Songs From The Wild is coming this Saturday at 5PM UTC. Tune into our premiere livestream, hosted by @ashnwolves and @dianapocalypse, to listen to twelve original songs written for this musical adaptation. You'll also hear messages from the voice cast, as they drop by to share their favorite memories from the series, as well as a Q&A with the creatives.

The album will be available as a free download following the livestream, so keep an eye out. (And remember to send in your questions for the Q&A by December 8th!)

Highlights of Songs From The Wild is nearly completed, and we're planning something very special to celebrate its release. If you'd like to get involved, we'd really love it if you could submit your questions for a Q&A.

The questions can be related to the Highlights album, the Legend of Zelda series as a whole, or the process of working on this project. Make sure to submit your questions by December 10th, otherwise we might not receive them in time for what we have planned.

The time is very nearly upon us. Our final preview track for Highlights of Songs From The Wild will premiere in a week's time, at 5PM UTC. Tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell the chosen Champions recruited to pilot the Divine Beasts that are sure to save your kingdom.

I CANT BELIEVE THAT SOME ONE IS MAKING THIS A THING AND IM HYPED!!!!! Will this come out sometime in the future? And where can I see it? Keep up the great work, I’m exited to see how this will turn out! I’ve always wanted to see a musical based on one of my favorite games!

On a side note, will Ganon get one of those villain solos that’s just extremely catchy and you can’t not sing along to it? It would be really cool (and probably really funny too)!

Our plans for eventual release are still unclear at the moment, but our Highlights album is still targeted for release by the end of the year. It will find its home on YouTube, as well as being a free download shortly after.

(P.S. If Calamity Ganon can sing, he'd better get in touch quickly before I write the end of the show...)

I really love this project!! I'm curious, will Link have a song? Or maybe a little part in a song? I could really imagine him like singing along or a melody above some parts of the music without words to like kinda show how he's struggling but can't find the words to express his pain

Until one day he opens up to Zelda like it was mentioned in the game if that's still the same in this version

Without spoiling too much, we tried to keep Link's role in the story as faithful to the game's interpretation as possible. That means no singing, and (mostly) no speaking, either.

But that doesn't mean he won't have a presence in the show, or that he won't have his own musical moments. Hopefully it won't be too long until you see what we mean.
