Another battle fortress commission for the ever-wonderful Patashu, who has provided a writeup with context on piece - --- This scene takes place in the Elite Core setting: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M062v8CV0_yh-E5G_EvUB1Z0nrmM2mfVjRkmybsHZlA/edit Patashu has taken a vacation to a far off world, hearing of its Pokemon Core powered mecha big and small that do battle - the Pokemon eager to test their mettle and mutually grow more capable, while humans forming PMCs and pirate groups alike get to play geopolitics on the outskirts of polite civilization. And since the cores themselves are nigh indestructible, they just need humans in need of their services to build them bodies. A Battle Fortress he's been tailing in the wilderness was expecting trouble and got more than it bargained for! RD-TBF-1002 'Icefang' is a Chien Pao BF built by 'Resolute Defense', a PMC that's been assembled to hold back villainous groups in the area. While on patrol, it was jumped by a massive swarm of pokemecha in both the skies and the ground, attempting to wear the war machine down, but despite their best efforts they're finding it difficult to pierce its Durasteel hull, while that ice elemental Mawcannon is decimating their operational frames with every blast. Perhaps the data from this battle will reveal an weakness in the massive frame, or perhaps they'll need to broker an alliance with another marauding force or dig up a Legendary Core to have any chance at overpowering any of Resolute Defense's massive war machines. Either way, Patashu's definitely going to be doodling fanart to post online tonight! --- Thanks again to Patashu for commissioning me and letting me draw lots of cool robots!

Fenrir, Battle Fortress [c]

Another giant robot critter for the ever-wonderful Patashu, who has graciously provided a writeup about the machine - --- Fenrir is a wolf Command Battle Fortress built by Patashu Industries on the continental disc spaceship (and muck) Spindizzy. Battle Fortresses are towering animalistic war machines that can cover the entire roles of an adventurer party or army. They can be crewed or piloted, but also have a sapient AI and can work autonomously. They're constructed by PI to answer distress signals, aid oppressed civilizations and to do rescue missions in unsafe areas. They can bring onboard local specialists who know the area better than PI does, use their strength for terraforming/disaster relief and be a mobile base of operations and can adapt to a variety of metaphysics (militaristic, adventurer fantasy, pokemon, science fantasy, etc). Fenrir is built heavy and weaponized, a walking tank, but without compromising mobility. As a Command Battle Fortress, Fenrir is often tasked with leading other units, from a small operational group up to an entire army or fleet, and spends much time practicing in Virtuality to be highly experienced in any military or peacetime maneuver and always able to be relied upon. He considers himself a warrior philosophy, a proud noble beast, yet friendly calm and stoic, only baring fangs and expressing anger when the situation turns dire. He has a monotone and blunt manner about things, but can be approached and chatted to and even invited for play when off-duty. He feels that in order to fulfill PI's mission of protecting and uplifting everyone and every civilization you must be strong, but you also must be wise and gentle with how you apply it. Fenrir is currently en route to a remote alpine location where a frontier adventurer town has rendered a distress signal. Apparently a nearby dungeon has proven too difficult to deal with and has several parties stranded inside of it. Luckily through the magic of Vectorization, the dungeon will be large enough for Fenrir to fit inside and contribute to their rescue. And while he's there, he may as well see if their situation is otherwise well and if they need anything repaired or landscaped or any other needs taken care of. --- Thanks again to Patashu for the commission!

Seems their adventurer fantasy world is a simulation running inside of a megastructure in Gridspace, and their adventurous spirits have been been tasked with inhabiting two Command Flagships to ensure its defense against hostile forces! With a few species changes to ensure they can be proper Captains of their new ship bodies, of course! Don't worry - they'll get to go back home once everything's taken care of. They just need a little time to learn the ropes first, and they might even get to keep their memories of the experience! In no time flat they'll be setting up massive resource gathering and supply chain operations, manufacturing subservient fleets and beating back Gilded Fang as confident, expert AIs working in tandem with each other! Originally starting out as writings in an overly fantastical alternate reality of the Grand Grimoire, it has taken on its own reality, bordering other adventurer fantasy settings in an interplanar sense. Spanning over countless grid-aligned tiles, factions lay claim to different parts of this seemingly endless landscape. Tiles not held down by towns occasionally shuffle in and out, ensuring a never ending stream of new dungeons and trials to face - and the occasional surprise as something that was built a long time ago once again becomes accessible. The atmosphere is ludic, uplifting and self-actualizing - adventurers and factions are encouraged to form rivalries with each other, engage in play warfare, master their classes and prestige and start over to become masters of every party role. Adventurerwear outfits are over the top, character sheets and HUD elements are everywhere and everything is pleasantly gamified, decorated and marked up, with co-operative social elements! Encouraged by Skai's IGR presence as a Beastblade Moogle, Patashu has decided to build an IGR compatible body of his own.
