If you want to know double standards, it is Taylor Swift causing uproar for putting her own naked body in her music video but Kanye West being applauded. She is twenty-seven, an empowered female and has every right to her own body whereas Kanye West had no right nor her consent. The general public is outraged by Taylor using a bodysuit and special effects to portray a visual image that goes hand in hand with her art but when Kanye West commissioned a realistic wax work of her naked body, it was acceptable? Why can a woman not use her own body how she wishes? Why can’t she naked without it being seen as wrong, slutty or negative? Taylor Swift is one hell of a badass woman that, after years of being bodyshamed, is confident. Embrace the empowerment of somebody’s own body rather than encourage the obejctifation by a man.

there is so much I could say to you, but let’s start with: I am so proud of you. listen, I’ve been singing “tim mcgraw” at the top of my lungs since I was 13. I’m 24 now.

we’ve been through some shit. in the last 11 years, we. have. been. through. some. shit. remember in 2009 when you were interrupted during an award show? remember when the media portrayed you as a serial dater? remember when you were called a bitch in front of the whole world? remember sharing your mom’s diagnosis with us?

yeah. we’ve been through some stuff.

when I was 13, until I was 20, I suffered severely from an eating disorder. I struggled with recognizing my own worth. worst of all, I struggled with surrounding myself by people (mostly boys) who actually gave a damn.

but remember when you wrote “tied together with a smile” or “mean” or “long live” or “clean”? those songs helped me. taylor, they reached me in ways my family, friends and therapy couldn’t. your words. they changed everything for me.

see what I mean when I say, we’ve been through some stuff.

I didn’t just grow up LISTENING to you taylor. I grew up WITH you. look at where we are now. you, the happiest and umm HAPPIEST we have ever seen you (!!!!!!!). me, healthy and happy and loved by a man I never thought I would find.

I’m proud of you. for over coming every single obstacle this life has put in front of you. but because of you, I realized something so so so important: I am proud of me. I hope you’re proud too.

I keep seeing all these posts that’s say RFI is about Joe since Taylor liked a few posts alluding to that theory, and it very well may be…but let me say this, one universal truth remains, there is no such thing as a coincidence in the swiftie world. The minute she mentioned ghosts, Elizabeth and Richard (they loved each other recklessly, almost too much), etc…she knew exactly what doors she was opening…that is all.

so guys i saw a post on tumblr of some anon asking some other user that i shall not name here about why do they hate taylor swift. and yes, people are entitled to their own opinions, i'm not asking that person to not believe what they want to but this upsets me so much!! (iz gonna be long, apologies) here are the reasons they stated:

>"She’s a white feminist who was caught in a lie and proceeded to paint herself as a victim while letting the media slander Kanye as an angry black man." idk why people get the facts so messed up it's really simple. 

kanye interrupted her speech. she forgave him in the song "innocent" written after a year of the incident. there were a few tensions, but later they patched up, and kanye rang up taylor asking her permission to use her name in a song. she granted it after he promised to play the song for her. his song came out without her ever listening to it. he called her a bitch. he claimed that his stupid stint in the 2009 VMAs is what made her famous (she was receiving an award for her work btw). she never gave him the rights to call her a bitch. she stood up for herself. kim recorded the call wITHOUT HER CONSENT and edited it to make it look like taylor's bad. posted it, and the whole world sided with kim. now where is the lie? get your facts straight or stfu. are we all ignoring that beSIDES CALLING HER A BITCh and taking credit for her fame, he’s also made a NAKED WAX STATUE OF HER AND PUT IT IN HIS MUSIC VIDEO? How would you like it if someone did that to you? Or if someone took credit for your project, after all your hard work, and everyone fucking praises the one who took credit? Would you like being called a bitch infront of the whole world?

> "She adheres to the victim narrative, but she doesn’t care about what real victims face (Kesha, Beyonce, Kim, etc)." well hello, if your definition of a victim is someone being abused sexually or otherwise, well, taylor has been too. and she does care, she’s donated a shit ton of money to numerous organizations and kesha as well. just coz you don’t hear about it doesn’t mean she doesn’t do it. she doesn’t show off that she does it coz it’s not about making it a big scene. she does it because she wants to, not for the publicity. she’s topped several philanthropic lists for years.

" since when did standing in a line become Beyonce's aesthetic??? can we stop acting like beyonce invented everything??? 

> “In that video, she poked fun at Kim’s experience in Paris when she was attacked, bound up in a bath tub at gun point, and robbed. *Taylor in a bathtub of diamonds: “you said the gun was mine”* "" way back in 2015, taylor told in an interview that the media views her as "someone who goes home and cries in her tub of pearls." that's the reference. not kim, not kanye, not katy. yes, they’ve had tensions, but taylor wouldn't stoop that low, especially being a victim of assault herself. why would she want to get more hate than she already does xD

> “She’s whiny. She slanders every ex she’s ever had, but never seems to consider the fact that she might be the issue. Now, she’s slandering other artists and celebrities who are honestly tired of her victim mantra, all in the name of T-Power." honestly she wrote a song called back!! to!! december!! asking for forgiveness. don't you consider for once that maybe... people take advantage of her? that she writes songs from her pain and not to diss her exes (even tho they’ve inflicted a lot of pain on her), just like every other artist in the industry?? and lol in all the years i’ve followed taylor, not once did i hear “t-power” anywhere
