considering what happened with his little brother i think that michael would maintain an emotional distance from elizabeth, but still step in where his father is failing. especially with their mom inexplicably out of the picture, you know? he's at least 10 years older than her and he's all she really has

i'm entirely ignoring that one book with the wackass art of elizabeth that describes her as spoiled because she really genuinely does not come across that way to me. she's innocently seeking attention from the one person who ought to, and it doesn't seem like she gets nearly enough of it

i need to lean more into michael being spiritually inclined— not in a directly communicating with the ghosts way ( most of the time ) but in the way where a classic medium could look at him and be like "oh babygirl you are so haunted." there's already ghost-induced 'hallucinations' and supernaturally influenced dreams specifically associated with michael/mike s. need him to experience blatant ghost shit at least once a week and react like "must be psychosis" BABY THAT'S SPIRITS
