hey, same anon who talked dirty about s5 a few days ago (the wedding stuff), i was JUST thinking about how shitty his so-called friends are to Brian except for ted (very honest but never rude) and probably emmett (not counting justin here since he's not just a friend lol)... like they always call him out for shit and blame him for everything, whereas, even if brutally honest sometimes, he never treats them the same way... he shows them more respect than they do to him and you can actually tell he cares a lot about them by always helping them out and always having a word for them... i guess you could say that among his qualities (not rare, contrary to their belief) he's just a good friend what can he say that about? 🤗

heeyyy, i agree with this take because the gang was treating brian so bad at times. like yes they obviously cared about him and all that but their reluctance to help him during hard times was something for sure. usually justin was the one to help brian or making others to help him whereas everyone ran to brian to solve their problems and didn't care for him half the time. linds and mel blamed brian for everything gus related and then asked him for money while also for example not carrying when brian lost everything during the stockwell arc. they all did nothing when justin was bashed and it was clear that brian needed some help too but they all played it off as not important. like wdym your close friend witnessed a hate crime and everyone was like yeah whatever it wasn't traumatising enough??? like hello???........... michael and debbie blamed brian for michael's every failure despite him being a grown adult is beyond me. so practically was a bad friend to brian at some point (wven emmett and ted but i think it changed over the course of the show (brian and ted's relationship in s4/5 >>>>>> ))

imo brian was a good friend and deserved to have more supportive people around him 😔

(btw despite my user name I of course know that brian did/said some stuff too but his friends for sure made him responsible for things he had nothing to do with)

(time to overshare because the timing of this ask was on point lol: personally I relate to brian a lot here because sometimes people think that I'm toxic or something because i can be sarcastic but I'm the friend who always helps people even with the smallest things because i don't like seeing people upset but sadly I rarely receive the same treatment when i need some help but it is what it is i guess)

Sorry this ask is late but catching up on my dash and reading your thoughts on S5 and Michael - ALL SO ACCURATE they did all the characters dirty, including Emmett. I think like with Justin, they just didn't know what to do with Emmett.

BUT I CAME HERE to rant about the last ep of the series where Michael and Brian are in the club and Brian is like 'what now' and Michael just yells at him that he's 'Brian Fucking Kinney!!!!' and he just lives to party and bang guys!!!!! Like 5+ years of Brian trying to grow and develop beyond baseline asshole fuqboi meant nothing. You can see the deadness in Brian's (Gale's? LOL) eyes in that scene where he's like 'yeah...guess I'll revert to being the money-hungry slut who everyone blames and judges...cool cool cool. thanks Michael.'

Like there's a line from QAF UK where Cameron tells Stuart (Brian) that he's keeping Vince (Michael) at 12 years old...and I feel it's the reverse in QAF US. Michael wants Brian to forever remain a Peter Pan who Michael can yell at and blame and be jealous/needy about, so Michael can feel superior and self-righteous about HIS life choices and growing up. That said, Michael was BEST with Ben & Hunter and/or the gang, 1000000%. I just couldn't stand the way he treated Brian, and then blamed Brian for it ksdfjhsdf. OKAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR QAF THOUGHTS, YOU ARE AMAZING

HOWEVER can we also talk about how lindsay was the same towards brian?? she and michale didn't want brian to grow up and didn't believe that he could be happy. they wanted him to stay the same brian forever even tho it's literally impossible for any person. like even if he didn't meet justin, I personally believe that he'd still grow and change because of the life circumstances, because of everything he went through. plus michael and linds' constant need to get involved with brian and justin's relationship to ruin it........ like who do you think you all are?? every type of relationship (romantic or not) should be a concern of people who are in the said relationship. like I'd never get involved in my friends' relationships unless something very bad is happening to them and this should always be like that. michael and lindsay didn't live with britin, weren't with them 24/7 but somehow thought they knew better than the people in the relationship. make it make sense 🫠

as for emmett, imo his storylines always were kinda like fillers because he was also that friend who helps others thus has less of his own serious storylines (but of course he had them here and there) and so I don't know if I hated s5 for him or not. for me it was fun to see him try yet another career (even tho personally i think his true call is to organise parties and events) AND I know people have controversial opinions about drew but I liked to see him in s5 but I was sad that the writers ended up doing them dirty. and yeah I HATED emmett's ending too, like was it hard to do something more meaningful with him????

hi, how’s it going? :) I’m the anon who said a few days ago that Brian changing his mind about the wedding didn’t make sense to me… I just happened to rewatch (unfortunately) that scene in 5x13 (ugh) “wouldn’t you rather just cuddle?” and i think it’s just so honest while being hard to watch that it perfectly sums it up. brian was just doing it to make justin happy, not because he really wanted to.

they were so dumb and ooc-ing the characters that they even make them say it… i hate it

hey anon, I agree with you on this one BUT also consider this: brian and justin did cuddle throughout a series, they (britin) just didn't comment on it. and it makes perfect sense bc brian is a very tactile person. HOWEVER I do agree that they both acted ooc in the end episodes, as if the switched places, honestly have no idea what this was all about

hello anon, now we are fucking talking, finally my favourite topic of discussion is here 😈

even though we don't have brian's exact date of birth (because qaf timeline is a big fucking mess 🤡🤡), we still know some facts: brian only has a bd in s1 and it happens just before justin's prom. google tells me that typically usa proms happen in like may/june (tho it's so obvious they filmed the episode in march) BUT we also have a pride episode in the beginning of s2, thus making it impossible to be june. by my estimation brian's bd should be late april/early may and so i think he should be a taurus ♉️ (april 20 – may 20). imo it make sense bc taurus are (again googled some of it) loyal, reliable, patient, hardworking, practical, materialistic individuals, they appreciate comfort and stability, they like having a routine and their home is their safe space, but they are also quite stubborn and possessive, guarded emotionally and have a thing for sensual pleasure. in romantic relationships they show love through actions more than words, need physical closeness from a partner and hate drama. i feel like this describes brian perfectly but also makes sense timelinewise inside the show (can't say this about some other characters as they all somehow ended up being pisces or aries or had more than two birthdays on different dates 🤡🤡🤡)

I think some other signs may suit brian but again I tried to connect it to the show but I'm here to listen to people's opinions on this topic
