LESBIAN SUPERMARKET

it's finally out!!

It's about a supermarket and there are lesbians and other queer people and also timothée chalamet is there (my synopsis of the film)

The film is in german but english subtitles are provided

Anders, a young trans man leaves his parents because they won't accept him as their son. After he notices the pride flags outside the supermarket owned by lesbian couple Kamille and Charlotte, he sees something he probably shouldn't have (involving Timothée Chalamet) and finds his place in the queer community.

Things aren't perfect though. There's a landlord who threatens to have the police evict the supermarket lesbians by friday if they can't procure the rent and a non-accessible second floor in the barn Anders moves into, that prevents another potential roommate from living there.

Content Warnings: cartoon violence, there are cops, some transphobia in flashbacks and ableism is one of the topics of the film

I just realized that i never actually made a post about this film so here we are

the film ⚧ Trans Youth USA ⚧ was published june 2023 as a part of the brickbpard pride event.

It's really funny and cute but also really sad and scary.

The content warnings for homophobia and transphobia at the beginning of the video are appropriate, as it is a video that is in part about those things. So be mindful of that when watching. I personally would also add a warning for police, and depictions of fascists, in case you don't want to see that in your free time.

I interpret it as more a film for cis people, to get them to see what is going on with trans rights in the US (or rather, what was going on up until june. The film is not really up to date nowadays), but as a trans person myself i still really enjoy it, even if it makes me cry every time. (pro tip: watch citrus dizzle afterwards as a pallet cleanser)

I love that in Lesbian Supermarket we get to re-visit the barn Lady Ladelie and Cheese live in in Citrus Dizzle. Also can't wait to see the machine that Anders is tinkering on there in action once the film is complete 👀
