THEORY: how expensive are Ravio’s items actually????!??!?
(Please do not take this seriously. This is meant to be a joke…mainly)
First of all, here are the renting and selling prices for all his items (most or all of which are magical in some way):
Bow: rent- 10 before doing Eastern Palace and 50 after, buy- 800
Tornado rod, bombs, hammer, hookshot, boomerang, and sand rod: rent- 50, buy- 800
Ice rod and fire rod: rent- 100, buy- 1,200
(All of this is in rupees. Also keep in mind that he also sometimes discounts items)
Now, what about some of the other items sold in Hyrule for comparison? Here are a few examples:
20 rupees: one serving of milkÂ
50 rupees: a (basic) shield, red potion
100 rupees: a bottle
200 rupees: blue potion (also requires 10 monster tails)Â
But, what about the items sold in Lorule? Well, here are some:
50 rupees: a (basic) shield
77 rupees: a fairy
Also, for 88 rupees: a literal bee
This means two things. The first important take away is that Lorule and Hyrule price their shields the same, meaning that the two worlds' economies can just be lumped together.
Secondly, Loruleans (and therefore Hyruleans by extension given that first point) value a single bee more than a magical sprite with the power to essentially bring you back to life upon dying. I don't know about you, but this definitely seems perfectly reasonable to me!
(Also, I am aware that it's because of a pun on the Japanese word for "bee," but just ignore that for a second)
Of course, it’s difficult to then make judgements on the entirety of Hyrule's and Lorule’s economy based solely on this. As a result, I'm instead going to compare Hyrule's prices to real world ones (this obviously ignores supply and demand, inflation, average wages, other various economic terms, etc. specific to Hyrule). That 20 rupee price for a serving of milk is probably the best place to start. So, using the UK as the stand in for Hyrule because Hylians are apparently British, let's get to calculating then, shall we?
The average price for 4 pints of milk in July 2025 in the UK was £1.51. I tried to look for medieval prices for milk specifically as well, but I couldn’t find anything.Â
Assuming that 1 serving of milk = 1/3 of a pint, we can do the following calculations:
4 / (1/3) = 12 servings of milk in 4 pints
1.51 / 12 = £0.125833333... per serving of milk
0.125833333... / 20 = 0.0062916666... ≈ £0.0063 per ALBW rupee
So, 1 rupee in ALBW is equivalent to approximately £0.0063, 0.0084 USD, or 0.012 CAD (Everyone else will have to do their own conversions)
Now, this is obviously very little (and not reliable at all), but I'm going to continue anyway.
£0.0063p * 50 = £0.315 ≈ £0.32 or 0.43 USD or 0.59 CAD
£0.0063 * 800 = £5.04 or 6.70 USD or 9.23 CAD
£0.0063 * 100 = £0.63 or 0.84 USD or 1.15 CAD
£0.0063 * 1200 = £7.56 or 10.05 USD or 13.84 CAD
This means that you could rent your very own unlimited supply of bombs until you get defeated by enemies for only £0.32 or could blow up anything in your way forever by buying them for a measly £5.04!
Alternatively, you could rent a magic arson stick fire rod for £0.63 or buy one for £7.56, which would be like buying about 20.4324 non-British pounds of bananas or 8.946745555555555... muffins at some unspecified location. These are probably not helpful comparisons, but they are the ones I chose, and I will not apologize.
Going off of this, either weapons of mass destruction are incredibly easy to make and are therefore not worth much in the world of Zelda (which is incredibly concerning), or Ravio is selling everything at an extreme discount and is not nearly as much of a scammer as you might think. If anything, maybe he’s the one getting scammed…
(This was partially inspired by the fanfic "Ravio's Scams" by @void-confusion. Go check it out if you're interested! Let me know if you want me to remove the tag.)

A Ravio Rabbit WIP
I attempted normal line art for once and didn’t entirely hate it, so yay?
I also have to say that he looks a bit like he would be a mascot for a mobile game, and I can’t help but feel like that’s oddly fitting. He would definitely run his own idle shop

This was esentially my take on the artwork depicting the Master Sword pedestal in the ALttP game manual. If you’re curious, you can view it here.
At some point, I might add a silhouette of Link in the foreground.
Also, while not legible, the inscription is meant to say "The Hero's triumph on Cataclysm's Eve wins three symbols of virtue. The Master Sword he retrieves, keeping the Knight's true line," as is inscribed on the pedistal of the Master Sword in ALttP.

Baby Rabbit Legend

This is from a weekly prompt in the discord about 4 months ago. Legend is probably my third favorite Link, which you might not guess given everything I have made centering around him.
Normally I like to do more complicated shading and don’t do traditional line art, but I like how this turned out. As you can see, I don’t like using smooth lines. I just personally prefer the added texture.
(Also it’s my profile picture. It felt fitting)

Test post
Why are you reading this? This post has no tags for a reason.
...How did you even find it?
(Also, I woke up at 2 AM, so that's fun. Not sure why I'm writing this though. No one's going to see it.)

OoT Musical Overture Proof of Concept
A while ago, I had a dream about an Ocarina of Time play which inspired me to create a proof of concept overture for an Ocarina of Time musical. This then turned into me making 7 additional songs on top of that 7 months ago which are at varying levels of completion.
So, here is an overture for a musical that doesn't exist (no singing is actually included):
My goal was to take existing Zelda motifs or songs and turn them into something new. While certain parts are more obviously based on existing Zelda music than others, I did not want this to just be a medley. Still, this overture contains many musical references to the Legend of Zelda and is, of course, heavily based on the music in OoT.
More about this and the other songs I made below
This was just something I did for fun, so it is a bit rough around the edges. I also do not claim to be a master at composing and am admittedly not great at mixing/mastering music. However, I am still proud of what I made regardless.
I currently don't have any plans to work on them further or make the musical a reality. If someone else wants to take the work I have done and actually make it a reality, go for it (and let me know). I mainly just want to share something I worked very hard on a while ago. The other 7 songs might be posted here at some point too, so stay tuned I guess.
The one up above was edited to both be louder and clearer. If for whatever reason you're interested in listening to it, the one below is the original version.

New One Shot Fic
Yesterday I wrote a fic about Link’s grief during and after Link’s Awakening based on Legend’s characterization. It is a very personal and meaningful one to me due to my own recent loss and the many months preparing for it before that. As a warning, it deals with the topic of loss.
Here is the link if you’re interested:

About This Blog:
Hello! I make art, write, and compose music in my free time. I am a Legend of Zelda and Linked Universe fan, so most of the stuff I will be posting here will be related to one or both. I am almost constantly working on something (when I am able) and am always experimenting with new techniques.
Feel free to use/share whatever is posted here as long as you include credit (preferably a link) and don't use it to train AI. Suggestions are welcome.
Where You Can Also Find Me:
Discord and Ao3 as Brodestwings
My Ravios meet AU blog A Band of Merchants
More About Me
I am part of the LGBTQ+ community (asexual, gay, and trans) and am autistic
I am college aged
I essentially live under a rock, so I will likely not understand most non-Zelda references or more obscure text speak. Also, if I come off as too formal in interactions, just know that it is just how I naturally both speak and write.
I grew up with the Zelda games. Despite that, BOTW was the first one I actually beat, though it was several years after I actually started playing it (I have a bad habit of getting to the final dungeon and then just never picking up the game again).
Games I have beaten: BOTW, Skyward Sword, Minish Cap, Echoes of Wisdom, TOTK
Am in the final dungeon of: Twilight Princess, Link's Awakening DX, Ocarina of Time
Started: ALttP (am about half way through skull woods), Oracle of Ages (lead up to 6th dungeon), Phantom Hourglass (finished 2nd dungeon), Majora's mask (finished 1st dungeon)
Am very familiar with but have not played myself: Wind Waker, Zelda 1, Adventure of Link, ALBW
My favorite game: Skyward Sword (Link’s Awakening is a close second)

Aww, thank you!
Both tie into how I am characterizing him, with the first one contrasting the fluffiness of Sky and the second being rougher to contrast Sky's softness. I was leaning towards the second one for similar reasons though.
Character design of Depths, Sky's Lorulean counterpart
I could not decide between these two hairstyles, so here is both. As you can see, his design is largely inspired by the Depths in TOTK.
#I'm the author/artist by the way if that was not clear#I'm also fairly new to tumblr#so hopefully I reblogged this correctly
