Stardom was where Santana Lopez was heading. She knew that from the age of four and with her parents support and help, Santana left Florida at the age of 18 for New York City. She picked up a few roles here and there but her big break came at 24 when she was cast as Eva Peron in Evita. She went on to claim a Tony award and cemented herself as a real star. After Evita, she went on to star in In The Heights and credited another successful show to her name. Following her last role, Santana decided to branch out and go after something not in her usual wheelhouse - the Queen musical of We Will Rock You. Santana’s enjoying her career high and isn’t quite sure what comes next for her but she’s ready for whatever that is.

RYDER LYNN NEEDED FOR BROADWAY RP.

YOU CAN’T STOP THE BEAT

The spotlight has been on Ryder Lynn since he was fifteen and a member of the boyband Rising Knight. After eight years with the band, Ryder left and struggled for a little while to find his footing in the world. He did a few tv guest spots over the next three years until he ended up in New York City. Auditioning for Next To Normal was a last ditch move for Ryder to figure his post boyband career but it worked. Following Next To Normal, and pretty good reviews at that, he headed over to Hairspray to play Link Larkin. Two shows under his belt and he’s got things pretty much together, he’s just gotta figure out whether another show comes next or if he goes to try something new.

Music has been Sam’s true love since he was a kid. His family was settled in Nashville where his father worked as a music producer and opened the doorway for Sam to enter the world of music. His teenage years were spent on touring signing as he was one of the hottest young pop acts. That career continued well into his twenties until he was 25 and took a break from touring and recording to try something new - Broadway. It was hard work landing a role in Footloose but the critics loved Sam and felt he could easily adapt to stage work. Now in his second production with Jersey Boys, Sam is falling more and more in love with Broadway every single day and he’s not sure if he could go back to his bubblegum pop life after stage work.

A New York Native, Kitty was the daughter of the long time New York Representative to Congress Henry Wilde and was considered New York Political Royalty. The Wilde family had held onto the seat for going on 64 years and many believed that Kitty would follow that and for awhile she almost did. While attending Columbia and studying political science, during her junior year Kitty auditioned for a small play and caught the acting bug. Although she graduated from Columbia, Kitty passed on law school and began auditioning for various musicals and plays, finally getting cast in Next To Normal. After nine months with the show, she left for Hairspray. She knows that her family still wants her to pursue politics but the longer she spends on the stage, the more she loves it.

Brought up in the St. James theater owned by his mother and father, Jesse became engrossed with the stage and performing at a very young age. He lived in it, around it, and for it his entire life. After scoring a part in Les Mis, the talent and vibe he brought to the table allowed him to take Broadway by storm. While the St. James family could produce, direct and fund incredible shows, Jesse was the first to perform, truly sealing the family legacy as First Family of Broadway. By dropping out of NYADA during his junior year to focus on his career, taking the title role of Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz. Many critics claimed that Jesse was right for the role and would be a disappointment. He silenced them all by winning a Tony at age 24.. He continued to let his love for the theater and his talent land him roles until he was 27 and finally decided to take a break. We Will Rock You is his first show back and he’s more than ready to retake his fame and notability back.

Having a father who wasn’t actually a father, Jake worked hard to find solace– and find it he did. Quickly, dance became his life, his passion, and his one true escape. Heading to New York meant dancing for one of the greatest companies out there. After becoming a part of the company and dancing for them for quite a while, tragedy struck the young dancer. A knee injury made it impossible to continue his ballet career. Feeling out of options, Jake took a set up audition for Hairspray. He never figured the Broadway stage would become a home to him, but work was work, and not everyone could say they starred in a show like Hairspray. Jake isn’t sure the stage will forever be his home, but for now, any connection with dances is okay with him.

After an impressive six months with the show, he took the chance at Jersey Boys, landing the role of Tommy Devito and building his confidence that musicals was where he belonged.

DON’T WANT TO BE AN AMERICAN IDIOT

Growing up, all anyone heard from Spencer was how dumb musicals and show tunes were. Almost everyone back in his hometown of Dewey, Oklahoma was shocked when they heard he’d ended up on the Broadway stage. Spencer had originally come to New York to play football for Syracuse and after blowing his knee out, he got a degree and went to work on Wall Street. On a dare from a guy in his office, Spencer auditioned for American Idiot just so he wouldn’t be called a wuss. To everyone’s surprise, with no professional training at all, Spencer was cast as Will. Since joining the show, Spencer has found himself enjoying life and actually feeling fulfilled, something that has been missing since his football career ended. He’s not sure if this is an actual career or just a one time thing but for the time being, Spencer is actually happy.

When Brittany left Iowa at the age of seventeen for Julliard, she never imagined that she’d end up on the Broadway stage. Dance was her game and she was great at it. After graduating from Julliard Dance at twenty-three, she had to figure out the next stage and that ended up being the stage. She worked as a choreographer for some of the biggest shows in town and jumped to the stage after auditioning for the role of Velma Von Tussle on a dare. The casting directors knew she could move but when they heard her sing and act, they decided it was well worth the shot. Britt isn’t sure that being on the stage is something she’ll keep pursuing but for now, she is digging it.
